    I owned one for about 3-4 years. Bought it for my kids, we drove the crap out of the thing and I never had an issue. The bottom end ended up needing to get rebuilt after 3.5 years. But that probably could have been avoided if I’d changed the filter type. The one that came with it was terrible. We really enjoyed it and am thinking about buying another one. I sold it because I didn’t want to deal with repairing it as i felt we got our money’s worth. Ive regretted selling it honestly should have just fixed it.

    i have the massimo branded version, been beating the hell out of it for months now. Still really enjoy it, the arizona dust is horrible for it. Filter changes are a must.

      @@nathanmunoz6232 I believe there are subtle differences on how the accessories are played out but it's almost exactly the same frame and honda gy6 (or clone) engine. The differences are between who brands it for accessories.

    We purchased same item broke on first use. Blew up motor and leaked all oil out. We also had a hammerhead which was doing same stunts and that thing never gave up. For a few hundred bucks more I'd rather go with hammerhead

    We actually just bought a similar model obviously it’s a 2021 . The welds are not a issue so far the cart seems of very good quality and reliable. The brakes did need some work when we first got the cart but it simply needed the brake lines bleed now they work perfect! For the price you can’t bit it

    Change it with a diesel engine, change the brakes with bigger tyres and a new auto transmission... it will be a great go cart ✅

      We have an older 150cc version, bought used for under $1k. Upgraded it to 170cc big bore from Rolling Wrench after the piston burned out (my fault). It's a little beast on the trails of our 47 acres. So I sort of disagree with your "light riding around the yard" statement. It is loads of fun, and handles hard trail riding just fine.

    From everything I’ve heard it immediately needs a new air filter. That and the welds aren’t great. For about $200 you can buy a predator motor that you might be able to swap out! When it’s built in the US it’s quality is a bit better (mine will come from a company in Texas) but honestly….it’s a cheap ass Chinese gokart.

    Hey thanks and great information. Looking to get an older kart to restore. Do you have any recommendations on brand that I may find easier to find parts for, This will be for myself an adult 180 lbs and my grandson. I don't mind getting just the frame and building a predator motor, I am having the hardest time on FB, craigslist in finding a kart for the backyard everything these days is catered towards the racing sport. I am looking for a 80's and up LOL. Any recommendations or maybe other brands that maybe build better? Thanks great video.

      @rick15666 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He said 50-55mph on the road, but that seems quite high to me. No idea what method was used to measure this. They seem pretty slow at take off (CVT transmission), eventually I can see it reaching maybe 40mph, but do not have any personal experience nor much research at all, to be honest. But considering the $2,500 price, I imagine it meets expectations (kinda slow, not too great/comfortable, especially off-road. The reviewer mentions he can hear the kart frame creaking and feeling not comfortable, even on what seemed to be relatively smooth grass.. again for $2,500, seems like a relatively decent value. But a used model “brand name” kart with possibly a larger engine/more robust components, I expect would be a very worthwhile comparison if you’re in the market. Biggest issue I’ve heard about these Chinese/knock-off/obscure brand karts, is that (inevitably) *something* *will* absolutely break/fail, or need replacing, and parts (I’ve heard) are difficult to find, take forever for shipping, and god forbid you have engine problems, having to tear that thing down in any capacity I imagine would be a relatively unpleasant experience with little to no support available, again vs the larger/name brand karts.
