I really loved this version... and I love the new one as well... and this movie actually deals with some stuff that the new one did poorly

It's actually a very good movie. For those able to appreciate the story.
Seriously, you remind me of children laughing at a play because the special effects are bad.

I find this with many reactors on this movie. They are trying to be popular by bandwagon if making fun of something instead of just getting into it.
They decided to make fun of it before they started watching it.
It’s my favourite film of all time.

As some one who saw this as a kid and has never read the books or seen any of the other adaptations: I don't know what they're talking about. This movie is awesome! 10 year old me will die on this hill.

The folding space tech used to be controlled by AI, but then they got rid of AI, the Guild Navigators can see the future so they can use the folding space tech safely without ending up in a star.

You can’t get into movie without being totally immersed. Instead of making fun of it having a laugh.
But I’m glad you had a laugh chatting for 2 hours with your friends.

The first experience I got to have of this movie was at a retro screening at a movie theater. I think we've always tended to lean more towards having a fun time watching movies on this channel and hopefully people can enjoy along with us

Here’s a suggestion, since you said we should give suggestions of things for you to watch if we have them:Ash Vs The Evil Dead. It’s a series with 3 seasons. Some episodes were scary, some were hilarious, some were gross and disgusting.More often than not, though, they were a combination of all 3 of those qualities. And don’t worry,it’s not mandatory that you see any of the movies to understand anything here(though feel free to do so.They are all good, with the first 3 being my favorites

I've seen the movies but not the tv show. Thanks for the suggestion!

5:30 They can go to the stars but can't make a leak proof contaier? 20,000 years from now and it leaks. 🙄
Seriously this was put in just to be weird and it came off as stupid.
The only thing I really disliked was the weirding modules they aren't in the book and add nothing to the story. The time would have been better spent telling more of the actual story or on character development.
Im not saying that they can't change anything but to me the weirding weapon takes away from the story and adds nothing.
9:00 This is the ONE THING that is better than the 2021 movie.

The special effects for those shields probably ate up a good chunk of the FX budget, LOL!

Loved the soundtrack in this one. The movie is totally weird but gotta love lynch. Awesome insights and review 😊

Book's awesome. First one. Rest of them are... Meeeeh. They don't invent to much and are not about Muad'Dib, so what's the purpose? You are told about new clones of a person, which are called gola. Fine. Whatever. Lynch's Dune's awesome as well. It offers everything 80's had. Stunning music and visuals. Pity Jodorowsky's vision didn't come to fruition. That would be a real art.

I actually love books one and two, book three is alright, after that they are just so overly complicated and bizarre that it takes away the feelings for the characters for me. The first time I watched this movie was probably '90 or '91 on VHS, or maybe on HBO. I watched it again about 5 years ago and even though it is not a great film I do have a lot of fun with it. I must admit that I am also a huge fan of David Lynch. I believe he has made the best television show of all time "Twin Peaks" and The best movie from this millennium "Mulholland Drive". His movies are acquired tastes for sure, and it is correct that he never read this book, but he and producer Dino DeLaurentis had many conflicts when making this movie. The studio caused so much interference. So much so that he became even more reclusive than before. The new movie is absolutely amazing I know that they shot nearly eight hours of footage and I would watch all of it. Great job everyone, as always.

Awesome thanks for the response on everything! I think the sheer number and size of the books can be a bit intimidating. The movie is certainly one of a kind and would have been even more interesting if Lynch was let loose completely

Many salty comments. Struck a nerve, I see.
There's no way to spin it - this is not a good movie. Lynch himself disowned it. It has its charm, but that's it.

      I don't see any.
They must have removed them all.
