You find interesting topics for these videos! Is it a volvo xc70 diesel that your friend owns? Do you know what year and engine? D5? Does it ride well at that mileage?
Dont know exact year, but its the third gen xc70 D5. They bought it at 390k km, and they had replace the heating core and ac. Its not uncommon to see D5's for sale with 500k km, so they can defienetly last a while. Id still be wary about buying such a high mile one though.
@@AndreasPetersen1Thank you for the reply. Interesting to know. I suppose one needs to be prepared to tackle some forseeable unforseen issues with such a car 😅
I'm not convinced in a few of your examples ... as soon as you start replacing engines (or motors) then it's not the same car any more! Did the gentleman in the red Volvo keep the same engine throughout? I know you said the Tesla had its motor replaced =)
How far can a car go? Forever How far can an engine go? Well the record is about 2 million kilometers in a Corolla The volvo owner had to rebuild the engine twice
My dad bought a car with 450k kilometres, he said it was a steal. It broke down 6 weeks later
Tom Scott of cars is back with another banger
Cool video but I think you miscalculated the miles😂 409451 km is about 254421 Miles
God damn it, i multiplied instead of divided.
My father's Mercedes w210 E200 CDI had 863,000km on the odometer when he sold it. It was an old Taxi car.
200000 miles before it gets scrapped??
but thats all i can afford!
i guess it is really staring to show its age

Yeah I don't even look at cars over 200k miles

According to the interwebz, he rebuilt engine at 675k miles and that's it, so it's all as it came from factory.

Yeah a new tesla will reach 800k miles easily
Good one
How do you know this =)
409,451km is 254,421 miles. Maths might not be your first language.
