Controlled airspace is useless for getting away from cops in most of the US. The FAA will issue a temporary flight restriction (TFR) on any airspace the police helicopter needs so that it is totally unimpeded by civilian aircraft (and you'll probably be punished for the costs any airlines incur for having to fly in holding patterns and delay flights; airliners burn unbelievable amounts of fuel, so a handful of them having to stay in holding patterns for 30 minutes could cost more money than you'll ever see in your life). If you happened to be in Nevada, there is a lot of closely guarded _military_ airspace west of Las Vegas, starting at a distance of about 50 nautical miles from the international airport, and the cops would be shot down immediately if they dared to fly there. When flying near the boundary of this airspace, pilots have reported their transponder lighting up to indicate that a radar beam is focusing on them instead of sweeping past like normal radar, which indicates a missile lock.
Don't forget how to counter PIT attempts honestly to those who did not take a whole course of combat driving, the easiest way to not give the cops the chance to do so. its surprisingly easy too, always keep a close eye on your mirrors, when about to get pitted, slam on the brake will do the job. if you f**ked up and got pitted and spun around, immediately put it into neutral or hit the clutch if its manual, keep your hand on the shifting knob, kick it into reverse as soon as the car slows down a bit, floor it, flick the steering to pull it back to front facing the right way. Be fast or you will get boxed. This is much easier with auto transmission btw. also, unless you are in Arkansas, cops are not allowed to PIT you if you going very fast, so that's another way. If your car's suspension or steering gets f**ked your run is pretty much done, always avoid sideswiping curbs and concrete barriers for that reason. however, no matter what you do, if the cop manage to get a good look at your license plate, its joever for you because they will eventually find you. Always cover the plate up before doing something stupid
You want to be inconspicuos, and it's a game of line of sight. If they cant see you, change roads quickly, then change roads again before they could see you. Then, leave the area on unfamiliar streets. COPS had an episode where a astrovan, the slowest on the market evaded police in a neighborhood by making two turns and diving into the bushes. The car went down the street and the police followed...
@nonyabusiness4151 Yes but the concept is the same for this situation. Trying to straight up out run the police probably isn't going to work its better to lose sight and hide or lose them by taking a side road.
@@minimalgrammar1276 most likely try to get a search warrant on your house unless your somehow don’t reveal your face and have no plates or anything like that i know where i’m from people do it all the time and don’t get caught about 85% of the time
@@minimalgrammar1276it’s because you can’t PIT a bike and if the bike driver crashes running they’ll almost always die. So it’s not worth chasing them. Not to mention if the cop is going fast enough to chase the bike he’s likely to crash too trying to keep up
I'd argue that white isn't the way to go, because black practically disappears at night. Also, running from the cops during the day is just stupid. At night, you can go completely invisible by shutting off your tail lights, and the cop's line of sight is much shorter. You only need to break contact for a short period of time to completely lose them.
@@robotronAI take my advice with a grain of salt, but in an urban environment next to the night sky I've been told it's better. The difference though would be negligible either way tbh.
@@robotronAIgot away lots of times almost exclusively in white or on white vehicles. Once they lose sight of you it’s pretty much over but at night headlights and taillights stick out and you can’t drive fast in the dark with no lights and just killing taillights doesn’t make you disappear your headlights still putting out a lot of light.
Thats heavily assuming you dont have retro reflectors in the taillights and a car old enough that you can actually completely go lights out or need to mess with the obd to disable the permanent headlights
Best cars for chases are pocket rockets. Not too big, not too small. Not too powerful you will lose control, and not too slow for the cop cars. Some good Examples are rs3 / Golf R (GTI) / A45(s) amg/ all m cars up to 4 series. But never forget, it's not about the car, it's about the one behind the wheel. (Excl. Usa)
I drive an X3M comp that's silver/greyish and has the M badges removed from the exterior. I can get up to 180mph with ease and then blend in with the soccer moms.
I was doing 120 on I-75 here in the states, and this when the cops first started getting challengers and whatnot. The speed limit was 70. I passed the cop going WAY faster than I should have been, he flipped on his lights, but it took him a solid 15 seconds to get out on the road. I crested a hill and pulled in to the truck parking in a rest area. Hid behind a semi-truck for about 30 minutes and took backroads south for the next 50 miles.
Radar detectors and scanners arent the trump card most people think, sometimes 10 below the limit and detectors go insane, but 50-70 above at night when they got the most speed traps and its dead silent. My advice is copy most "phantom" drivers dont be original, so black matte car (be careful drivers might not see you and switch lanes), kill switches for lights, and if your car is a quiet BMW clone, go in the city and lose them by blending in, but if you like highways and wide roads, plan your route, and get big block V8/10s with frankly dangerous top speeds to lose them by brute force. AND DO NOT TAKE TOO LONG, YOU ARE NOT SQUEEZE, once they call backup or a heli its over, even if you piss off the wrong cop, just one dude that wont give up, and you are screwed. Just know if the regular NPC patrol cop is driving Chargers and M4s (like in the Middle East or Texas State Troopers, those are the places that come to mind where theyd rather k*ll you than let you escape) you can forget about losing them, maybe pick up a different hobby, like knitting or gardening, I hear Animal Crossing is super fun post update. From personal experience, dont try to fill the void by Sim Racing, thats like watching cooking videos when you havent eaten in a week. It is NOT the same, and it will only make you hungrier.
I’ve gotten away in a Kia Soul in broad daylight light. From my experience, what I did was once I saw him walking to his patrol car, I made a turn. Then I got enough distance and made another turn and then another turn and got on front street then hauled ass pass traffic with having to have my tires on the sidewalk. So basically gap them decently and keep making turns cause if you really know how to control your vehicle then they can’t keep up with you on the turns and that gives you leeway to lose them
radar detectors can sometimes work as cop detectors, sometimes cops leave their radars on and you can pick up on it. wheres981 has a video on his channel where a driver avoided a spike trap with his radar detector (its called cops shut down the highway for this guy)
Tbh using a diesel car sounds like a great idea to me. You'll be just so much more quiet and, at least here in Germany, it's more then common. Any high HP Audi, BMW, VW... will do the trick I think. Just make sure to take one that can do corners somewhat acceptable and upgrade the brakes and tyres
@@lol-ws6po Tires only help you slow down insofar as they need to have enough traction to actually slow the car without slipping. Same goes for brakes. You cant skimp on either one- if the brakes dont function well enough they wont slow down the wheels, if the wheels arent up to snuff they'll lose grip and won't slow down the rest of the vehicle.
The most versatile car to run with is probably the 2011-2017 Caprice ppv. The Caprice is the highest top speed police car out of the box and has some crazy good brakes, which is already a good start, but you can add to it by modding the engine and adding stiffer sway bars. You could change other suspension components, but I'd leave them alone, the factory suspension is meant to take a beating and that will be useful if you need to do something desperate. The Caprice is also meant to be fitted with a push bar, but you only want that if you have a good reason to think you'll be hitting stuff, otherwise it'll just make you easier to spot. The styling is ideal too, it looks like a 9th gen Impala from most angles, so it'll be invisible in traffic.
Another thing is to know the area where you’re being chased, if you don’t know where to go the chase will be prolonged, also make sure to break line of sight as quickly as possible, the more you do the less chance of them catching up
Also the smaller surface area means less wind resistance. Remember that the faster you go, the harder it is to accelerate because you're hitting more air molecules. A smaller profile means the effect isn't as strong.
(IN MINECRAFT) I'm 4-0 running from troopers on TX highways. Biggest thing is by far not hesitating if they are at a standstill and you're already going fast enough that they want you. Getting distance so they can't see your plate is huge. Going for a (side) road with hard turns and having navigation on your screen so you can see corners before you get there kept me from crashing (trooper crashed though, and I made sure he wasn't going to die before I left). A sporty car will accelerate, brake, and turn much faster than a heavy PPV explorer. If you have a black car and it's dark out, turn off all lights ASAP and get out of there. Flash brights to see the road when necessary. It works.
@@AssassinIronMan If I had to guess, it was probably as much about not being legally liable for causing a police officer's death (much more likely to be caught, and much harsher consequences) as it was a deep concern for the trooper's wellbeing
You would need fake plates and also make sure that you don't leave a trail of ring doorbell footage and CTTV cameras, you would also need a secure place to disappear, and a tunnel to pop up in another camera free area where you can walk out of unnoticed. The hard part isn't outrunning the cops, the hard part is being on the run your whole life over a parking ticket.
Many departments have a "no chase" policy in the US. If someone were to drive recklessly enough, most departments would break off the pursuit. State Police/Patrol are more likely to continue a pursuit than Sheriffs Office/City Police.
I liked that you covered potential ideas that are irrelevant ideas. It felt like a conversation, since it’s only you talking but you knew where my mind was going
Invest in "ghost mode". Essentially on the flip of a switch your lights die, both exterior and any non essential interior. You can also get blackout plates for the license plate so one second you look like a normal Joe and the next you're not. Of course the plate you run shouldn't be linked to you, or your real plate for best result. And the biggest thing: don't take stupid or dangerous risk. Both for everyone's safety, and because that's how people get got. You aren't baby driver and you can't drift your car expertly (if you could you wouldn't be here). Don't run reds or fly way faster than the speed limit when you don't have to because you will eat it and do the cop's job for them. Biggest advice though, don't run unless you really need to. Cops are people and if you're respectful and nice they'll cut you a break (normally). Even if you ride dirty cops won't know until they pull you over so just don't give them a reason. Plus they often times know your ride if you're local and unique enough. Cops on the college campus I ride occasionally know my bike and have confronted me several times while I wasn't anywhere near it (my motorcycle gear doesn't blend in much either). Nothing major, but they generally just get pissy if I'm speeding during the semester.
Teslas might be the perfect stealth vehicle, only problem is the cornering but on most roads it’s no problem unless ur a really bad driver. The quiet acceleration will set you ahead so quickly and it blends in well to normal traffic
Its also important to note the political situation and laws in the area your trying to run in, For example, in NYC, where most of the guys blowing up online rn are like swim> and squeeze, deep blue area with heavily criminal justice reform, they have no chase laws for police, most of the cops there are walking on thin ice so instead of risking their pension potentially injuring or killing you they won't chase you, you can steal plates off cars or just entire cars to run with and the most penalty you can face if you do get caught is like an hour to a few days before you're released no bail. However if you're tryna do this down in some deep red southern state like rural texas or god forbid broward county florida, yeah, they're going to try pitting you, they'll throw repurposed impounded scat packs at you, will put up way more of a fight, they might even open fire or use the new equipment like the net that captures a rear wheel or shoot it with a tracker.
*if you get onto the motorway and hit 180+ MPH consistent you're garnered to loose them* *The average top speed of a UK police helicopter is around 140 to 150 knots (161 to 173 mph) would be around the same for US. There are alot of swimmers and normies that always dip from police and outrun choppers mainly because they cant compete with speeds higher or close to 200mph
Last year I had a case, I won’t get into it but long story short. Drug related shooting ended up in a police chase with 4 SUVs behind me. And in my 2018 M550i I had went through 4 blocks and then into the freeway I was hitting the street at about 60-80MPH and once I got into the freeway (it was 1am) I gassed it and hit 160 for a couple min and the cruisers never caught up but with a few weeks of investigation they ended up finding out it was me but my lawyer somehow got the evade charge removed and I only got charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and not attempted murder AND evade. Running from police is much easier if you have a decent enough car. If anyone reading this is wondering what county this happened at this happened in ALAMEDA COUNTY OF CALIFORNIA. And yes I did go to Santa Rita for a few months but the jail of alameda county isn’t that bad lol
Not a tip ive put into practice but if you have vechile that is equipped with offroading capabilities i dont see why you wouldnt use it to your advantage especially if you know your area and where your vechile can go
i use a blacked out 11' gsxr750 with a brake light switch is aus, the cops use 530d's and chrysler 300c's as highway patrol. incredibly hard to get away from sometimes but you normally hit where heavy traffic is and split through it. all in theory of course 😉
Black guy here, this is why chargers are golden for “great drivers” I wouldn’t run from police, but they are good cars to daily if you speed often, less likely to get police on your ass from snitches in charger vs driving a new Mercedes, corvette, Camaro etc. in Georgia it’s full of Hemi chargers, Scatpacks, and at night time V6 blend in. So yea I just speed but running is dumb at least my state, Georgia state is 5 stars in real life for those that think people are exaggerating.
The consequence are pretty bad in my opinion. They either catch you someday and you end up going to jail for minor stuff you ran from or you crash and die at some point.
I think the most effective way to get away from a 'dangerous pursuer' is to break their radiator with the back of the car/towing hitch and make a run for it. This is easiest if the pursuer is stationary - like parked behind but it's possible while in motion too at low speeds. At high speeds you will spin around off like in a pit maneuver - not so bad if you're initiating it from in front - just avoid the curb stones as they will cripple you. At night time, with an existing lead and heading over the crest of a hill/round a bend, turning the headlights lights out and not using the brakes can give you an edge but that first 10 seconds waiting for your eyes to adjust to the sidelights is quite the breath-stopper. Pursuer will often think you've spun out or pulled off the road slowing them down or misdirecting them. Offensive driving courses are a worth their weight in gold, especially if you plan of hauling hot gold! lol
I escaped the police last week I was zooming going 95 in a 55 and a cop on the other side of the road saw me and turned on his lights and statted to slow down to u-turn and i just flored my tacoma all the way home (like 2 miles maybe) Wasn't much, but it was fun
I’ll take handling and light weight mobility any day of the week I live in curved backroads so low curb weight ok horsepower lsd 6 speed manual all I need
I'd say take an old corolla and drop in turbo charged 2.0 liter honda engine found in the newest accura tlx with an ecu flash. Technically its around half the power of the cop cars but its still quite a powerful engine, especially if its in a car that's half the weight of the stock car. Cop cars use v8s but that just means more weight. Where I'm from, they're not allowed to chase you, so there's that.
Get the Brabham F1 turbocharged engine from the 80’s, it’s a 1.5 L 4-cylinder setup that makes 1500hp, but you only have 2-5 minutes before it gives out 😂
Hey nice, you got the same engine as me! The K20C4 engine. It's kind of exciting to see these engines start getting swapped into other cars. I wonder what it can make with different transmissions. What holds it back in the Accord and TLX is the transmission, peaking at around 500 HP before the automatic transmissions start going out.
Yep, the first mistake is choosing a car. Cops will almost always catch you in a car. Motorcycles are the only correct choice. It's easy to run from the cops with a motorcycle, I've certainly never been pulled over on one.
@@dissonantharmonic also imagine if the reason cops drive unconventional vehicles that lets criminals escape is bc they still going to do a manhunt later anyway, so i think you losing the cops is least of your worry, you should worry about the manhunt that follows up
I know someone 👀 who outran the cops in a toyota yaris, golf mk5, golf mk7, etc in North America. You really just have to be a good driver, aware of his surroundings.
Hey 🤙 just a quick note as a motorcycle rider. Uhhh... what I'm about to say is merely theoretical and should not be done on the street. But. Here's some notes. Knowing what cop car is a good start SUVs or if the city broke older slow sedan pursuit cars are a lot easier to beat out in a straight line got straight. Modern chargers and even faster cars, some departments have like camaros and mustangs you'll need cornering speed or. Better yet. Traffic. Traffic is nothing to a motorcycle but can completely end a pursuit chase from even escalating as most will give up. Remember, motorcycles are small. You can fit into small areas. Side walks. Back alleys if you are so bold, even stairs. You are a bike. Not a car. Do not drive. Ride.
Any sports version of a sedan would work really, mustangs and muscle cars are common but to easy to find being coupes and not as comon on the road as sedans and even trucks when in america are becoming popular, with those off roading capbilities become available as well to escape cause most cop cars are not designed with suspension travel and clearance in mind for high speed off road driving
I've done it once. Very...situational. Ran a red light (in the US), in the city, saw a cop (in a SUV) they put their lights on, they were heading towards me, were not behind. So I sped up, turned a corner, (went in a circle). knowing this tank of car can't turn as fast as my pontiac. Also it was raining. Made it back to my apartment before he could even turn back to the same street. don't out run cops. this was 10+ years ago. Only reason i did was bc of traffic/weather/ and circumstances. was not planned. No baby driver here. This chase was 10 seconds MAYBE. so yes, short as possible.
I have never done such a thing😉 but if you were to attempt you gotta know how Y=mx + B. Wouldn’t attempt it w/out 400hp and brembos. + you HAVE to have a good lawyer as plan B
High-speed chases are really just a US thing. Most countries have a policy against it because of the high risk of accident. All you have to do to make your escape is drive moderately fast and the police stop following. Then they get your plate number from the dashcam footage or CCTV coverage, track the car through traffic camera logs, and come find you later. Maybe a few criminals will escape in stolen cars that are harder to trace, but it's better than mowing down pedestrians or T-boning at an intersection.
I have escaped from cops once - I was on the bicycle! Just turned into tight alley and I was gone. Or so I thought - they called backup, and there was another cop car waiting for me a few blocks ahead. Nearly dodged that one. I haven't done anything, but I was not in the mood talking to cops that day.
Get into simracing, if you have a decent wheel setup it will translate to real life driving skills. It's definitely not 1:1, but max verstappen is living proof that simracing helps.
Hypothetically if one were to be running at night, turning off the lights and flicking the brights to see every 50 or so feet could be an effective strategy. Its amazing how fast a black car vanishes 🤭
Use a common car in a common color. Tune car-recomend multi stage intake/exhaust(vvt, multi stage intake runners, exhaust cutouts. gives more power and then blend into traffic) Be aware of NOTAMS and prevailing mid alt winds. Aircraft limited via air not ground speed. Head upwind Have a car cover lined with mylar, cover car and get away from it.
Emphasis on the chase being as quick as possible. I saw a dashcam video of a 2014ish base model Corolla run from the cops and because of a series of confusing turns they took, they actually wound up getting away.
I’ve ran from them 3 times and got away twice. The one time I didn’t get away was because I turned myself in; I had left my coat in the car and lost my shoes running through a marsh, and the weather conditions would have given me hypothermia. I was also in a rural area and the nearest civilization was miles away so I wouldn’t have made it back
These days especially hiding your identity with either a ski mask or similar or with tinted/one way glass goes a long way. no plates no face no case. Choose a popular vehicle in a common colour that comes in a fast version, like the hellcat to the charger, Wrx to the Impreza, M135i to the 118i etc, put base model body panels/wheels downbadge ect on your fast car to help it blend in, be sure to keep your plates with you to put them on if needed. Bring an extra hoodie that’s a different colour too it’ll help you blend in even more IF YOU NEED TO PARK AND DUCK DOWN AND HIDE DON’T RECLINE THE SEATS

its a really good option to own a lot of the houses in the area where you’re gonna be running from the cops. if you manage to lose line of sight you can just pull into one of your many homes and they won’t catch you
If you are on a dirtbike or a supermoto and they are chasing you with shitty vans like in finland you need to make as many 180 degree turns as possible as the turning radius on those vans is shit, In general on a supermoto you should turn as many times as possible because its much faster to turn on a bike. But try to avoid driving in a circle. Try to get to a field or a forest or other small gaps cars cant fit trough, you can also drive up and down stairs pretty easily.
😬
Don't forget how to counter PIT attempts
honestly to those who did not take a whole course of combat driving, the easiest way to not give the cops the chance to do so.
its surprisingly easy too, always keep a close eye on your mirrors, when about to get pitted, slam on the brake will do the job.
if you f**ked up and got pitted and spun around, immediately put it into neutral or hit the clutch if its manual, keep your hand on the shifting knob, kick it into reverse as soon as the car slows down a bit, floor it, flick the steering to pull it back to front facing the right way.

I'd argue that white isn't the way to go, because black practically disappears at night. Also, running from the cops during the day is just stupid. You only need to break contact for a short period of time to completely lose them.

@@dirtydoge756 Ah ok, good you came out safe 👌

You dont need better brakes when you've got better tyres if you're driving high hp cars
@@lol-ws6po you DO need better brakes mate...
The styling is ideal too, it looks like a 9th gen Impala from most angles, so it'll be invisible in traffic.
can confirm this. I have a navy blue Caprice PPV that disappears at night when lights go off. excellent acceleration, excellent top speed.
“What car I’d get?” Names a bike
I mean bikes are the best thing to get away. Dont have to worry about traffic and easily hold over 140mph
That's the joke
Another thing is to know the area where you’re being chased, if you don’t know where to go the chase will be prolonged, also make sure to break line of sight as quickly as possible, the more you do the less chance of them catching up
Seeing a motorcycle police chase amazes me, at how a human on top of a machine slightly larger than a human can move so swiftly
F = MA
The motorcycle has less mass so its easier to accelerate
Also the smaller surface area means less wind resistance. Remember that the faster you go, the harder it is to accelerate because you're hitting more air molecules. A smaller profile means the effect isn't as strong.
The Netherlands: 707hp 💀
What are you talking about. The standard Dutch patrol cars are like 175~200 hp and the faster response units are like 250 maybe 300.

It works.

You should certainly do more hypothetical videos like this. Very good video
Range is a problem, and it's a big one
Cops will definitely chase you in NYC lol, don't believe this comment^

Black guy here, this is why chargers are golden for “great drivers” I wouldn’t run from police, but they are good cars to daily if you speed often, less likely to get police on your ass from snitches in charger vs driving a new Mercedes, corvette, Camaro etc. in Georgia it’s full of Hemi chargers, Scatpacks, and at night time V6 blend in. So yea I just speed but running is dumb at least my state, Georgia state is 5 stars in real life for those that think people are exaggerating.
Also chargers suck in automatic, manual is the way to go with any muscle or car being driven on track level.
Offensive driving courses are a worth their weight in gold, especially if you plan of hauling hot gold! lol

I was also in a rural area and the nearest civilization was miles away so I wouldn’t have made it back

i'd say other than a sportsbike the best car you could pick would be an audi a-variant but must have quattro awd. common enough on the road to not attract much attention, no loud exhaust and bodykit like the s/rs models but still got enough power with a inline or v6. maybe put some better than stock tyres and brakes and you are good to go
Step 1: dont use your own car.
unless you want to say hi the cops waiting at your house after you thought you got away with it
people like you are why houses, schools and hospitals get robbed without catching the robber. subbed.
I'm in America I was thinking about taking a ram with a 5.7 hemi and lowering it and making a sleeper out of it I was thinking about putting a hellcat supercharger on it and a few other things lol
First I got bank robbing tutorials, now this... I'm on a list aren't I?
uhh where did you find these tutorials in question
1. Sleeper
2. Motorcycle
3. Miata (always the answer tbh) at least that way, you can do it with a smile
to avoid the choppa all you have to do is find a dodge challenger with a bee, demon, or cat on the side.
"Would you get caught?" nah, i'd drive
its a really good option to own a lot of the houses in the area where you’re gonna be running from the cops. if you manage to lose line of sight you can just pull into one of your many homes and they won’t catch you
If you are on a dirtbike or a supermoto and they are chasing you with shitty vans like in finland you need to make as many 180 degree turns as possible as the turning radius on those vans is shit,
In general on a supermoto you should turn as many times as possible because its much faster to turn on a bike. But try to avoid driving in a circle.
Try to get to a field or a forest or other small gaps cars cant fit trough, you can also drive up and down stairs pretty easily.
But if its a motorcycle cop you might be fucked.
You can still get away fairly easily, even on mopeds if they are chasing you on A2 or
