Walking fast uphill burns the most fat out of all types. Add some weights on you, and you'll burn more. At least it does for me. No need to run/jog/sprint.

When i was working out i chose "games" (basketball, futsal etc) as cardio.. i dont know about other people but when people were walking and running for the sake of burning fat things got boring quickly and i got tired fast

Running may burn calories faster than does walking, but the question posed was, "Which burns fat faster?" The answer is not so simple, but if a person runs too fast the body cannot burn fat and turns to catabolizing muscle for energy. Slow cardio allows the use of stored fat for energy. So the trick is to walk or run fast enough to burn fat but slow enough to avoid burning muscle. There's lots of info on TH-cam describing this and how to do it.

Slightly incorrect. Once you surpass that certain tempo, your body doesn't start eating up your muscle, it starts burning carbs. Also, the body stops burning fat after your heart rate exceeds about 150 (varies depending on the person) and your body has to exceed a heart rate of about 120 to burn a significant amount of fat

Running along with walking is probably the most sustainable. It's free other than some running shoes and no equipment required. You can do it virtually anywhere. In my case, running definitely burns more fat. After just a 5 minute run, I douse myself in 93-octane and strike a match to welcome the sweet release of death. This burns body fat right down to 0% very quickly. However, I do feel much less motivated the next day.

Running will get you fitter and more athletic
But it will tire you out and can affect other types of training
Walking will only burn fat but it's easy
HIIT will give you the best results when in comes to performance, it will take the shortest time and be the most fun out of these 3 types.
However it will never burn as many calories and it can be really taxing. It's simple math, you will never burn more than 150-200 cals doing a 10min HIIT workout but i's very easy to walk 400cals

both is great, but running gives you more confidence increases your lung capacity, your dopamine levels, and you loose fat face faster with it. But walking is also a nice add on to loose calories

there are other ways to increase your conditioning capacity and dopamine, too! rowing, biking, or ski erg are all great ways that I see many people who do not enjoy running have success with.

The thing is you need to also fix up your food consumption. For me, I lost 5.5Kg in just 22 days just by jogging 20-30mn everyday and fixing my eating habits.

Simple math about Body physiology, always train your muscles while losing Fat to get a stable physique. Avoiding strength training and fasting diets makes you lose fat but also eats up muscle. Results - loosen up skin making your body look like a polybag

Best dieting advice I ever got.
I hate running so went to weighted sledge rope pull with push return.
Great compound and cardio excercise rolled into one.
Builds arms legs back while knackering you.
    Love it

I run martahons but during COVID I reduced 20kgs approx 45 pounds. Walking is a better method to reduce weight. Eat protein and fibre rich food if you want to run. But if you love running at a pace where you are able talk and run as well. Burns fat increase metabolism 😅

Walking does build muscle, just not bulky ones. If your goal is to lose fat and keep it off, then walking is a better option than running.

That's not what mens health magazine says. Weight lifting barely burns fat compared to walking. Always go cardio for fat loss, walking is recommended or bike

    • @marcusfilly
      @marcusfilly  ปีที่แล้ว

Lifting weights (AKA building muscle) increases your resting metabolic rate. In other words, you'll be able to burn more fat even while at rest.
Don't get me wrong, I love doing cardio for health and to feel my best. But building muscle is the ticket to efficiently burning fat.

Walking burns more fat than running. If you're taking in oxygen at a healthy rate for the aerobic reaction of breaking down fat, your body burns fat. When you're running and you're huffing and puffing, the activity is oxygen-starved and your body srats to break down sugar. Also running is stressful and therefore your body produces cortisol, which is a fat storing hormone.
