Churchgoers Protest Over Sudden Closure of Trinity United Methodist Church

Following last Sunday's sudden announcement of the Trinity United Methodist Church’s closure in northwest Eugene, congregants are voicing their anger and frustration at losing their house of worship.
Now, they're calling for a reversal of that decision.
We caught up to church members to hear their side of the story.

This is what happens when the Denomination OWNS the building, and not the Church people owning it. God will provide that congregation a new place to worship. The congregation IS THAT CHURCH, and NOT THE BUILDING !!

From Buffalo, N.Y. A similar situation happened in a church in Buffalo under the Assembly of God denomination. After checking the internet for information it happened to many churches. Always there were subtle lies spoken and it's a money factor. The denomination closed the church, sold the property and took the money. There were many back room deals made before the final closure. IT WAS A TOTAL SHAME because the church building was paid for and the people and the youth wanted to stay. It was a BIG TIME SHAME.

This is what happens when your denomination ends up with a bad reputation. The church is not a building. It's those who follow the actual teachings of Jesus Christ. Repent and start following him.

Fortunately many churches are owned by the congregation (most Baptist), so if they die, and some do, they die or the building is sometimes bought by another starting church..
