Thank you for that stirred up few memories for me I was born & many early years in Hitchin my grandfather had his office in the town centre pt barker & sons my grandfather being Philip Townsend barker & uncle John barker I spent many an hour at my great grandmother’s house at the top of windmill hill & went to school at kingshot briefly then stagenhoe park
Very interesting. I’m Spanish and I was in Hitchin for a few days always in September in 1987 to 1993. Always in the home of my bigs friends Dennis and Pauline Day in Kingswood Ave. I’ve got wonderfull souvenirs of my dear Hitchin, my prefer town of England.
