Thank you!
I watch and enjoy all your videos, but this one is outstanding. It clearly demonstrates all options/functionality of selecting a subject . This video really adds value. Thanks so much.
Hi, I watch and like but rarely comment, but this is the best concise demo that I have seen. You have been very explicit which makes following far more easier. Thank you.
THANK YOU Anthony. For some of older psd users, the new tools are overwhelming with many new parameters. I know Adobe means well. Just exploring these from the hip, (as we are wont to do) makes things WORSE. I am grateful for this lucid, practical, evenly paced and understandable guide of a tool we so often need. ~TEU
Anthony, you always offer great tutorials with just a little more info, with less words, than those already out there. Thanx!
Thanks for a helpful and informative video. You’re right in the intro, this process can be confusing.
Easy and straight to the point! Thank you ❤
The very best explanation about this more and more complex function! Best tip is how to find the old selection-tool, which I was missing since your fabulous tutorial!
The best tutorial I have found on this subject. Very clear and very helpful! Thank you!!
Hugely informative and helpful video. Thanks so much for putting this together, Anthony.
This is the best instructional video I have ever watched. I will now follow all your videos. You definitely have the skill set of both Photoshop and that of an instructor!!!!!!
Best tutorial out there for subject selection. Love the shadow tip.
you are an excellent teacher! so happy to have discovered your channel recently. thank you.
a good explanation ever
Another fantastic video. So well explained. Thanks
Thanks for the video it ia always good to have a refresher plus I learned about the selection preset.
500% more helpful than Adobe's own explanation of this tool, for which humble thanks, but fact is for everyday pics. outside of studio-type images of the type you demo. here it's bug-y, beastly, next to useless. Believe me I have tried, practically reduced me to tears!
Dear Teacher: Thanks for a most informative video. I like the way you put forth complex topics in most simply way. Thanks a ton You made may Day
Very detailed and well explained video Anthony. That this video was >22 minutes compared to your typical video of perhaps 10-15 minutes highlights the complexities of PS vs LR in all of its variants. Thanks and I look forward to next week's classes. I'm in for the VIP level.....because I need repetition ad infinitum.
I've watched many videos about selections. This may just be the best basic video on the web.
Really loved this one! Great job!
Excellent video. I am going to try this on my foreground/ night sky milky way shots.
The best video I've found explaining the select and mask process, thank you!
in my version i cant see select and mask
Still learning PS. Thanks for this video. Really very well done and easy to follow.
thank you - this was really helpful
Thank you!
Excellent tutorial!
Thank you. Perfect Video. Greetings from Germany
Excellent ❤️ Very detailed information
Anthony you’re the best!!!!! ❤️❤️
Great video. Thank you so much!
Very useful video. Thank you!
Thank you! So helpful!
Good video thanks Anthony!
great tutorial thank you ✌
Well done mate!
Great explanation
thanks, that's useful. The one thing I have problems with when doing this stuff is with the +/- quick selection brushes, whatever I do always ends in disaster, are you brushing the selection out or moving/nudging it to where you want it?
Perfect Anthony!
Thank you very much, Anthony -- this is the best Select and Mask video I've seen. One question. On my computer (PC, Windows 10) Real-time Refinement is grayed out. Any thoughts?
very good, much appreciated
Hello Anthony, Very Precise but easy Tutorial. Thanks for that. But I have an issue with my PS. I am using Apple M1 Max Studio. But when I go to select and Mask option REAL-TIME REFINEMENT option is grayed out. I am using PS 24.7.0 Version and Beta as well. I have tried to find solutions in various places but no real thing. Can you please help me on this?
I mostly photograph birds, I edit with LR. When I use select subject, sky, or background I often get a thin halo around the edge feathers. Will using the method in your video help with a more defined edge?
Do you have a video which focuses on masking birds?
I often feel like the image selected for a video is chosen so it will perfectly reflect the desired outcome however when I try to apply the method to my photos the result is less than perfect. I realize I might be expecting instant perfection and I need to refine my skills.
Would love to see a video on masking birds with clear sky and a cluttered background. Thanks for your videos
Thanks!
Hi Anthony, When I make a selection using the refine brush tool on the hair, for some reason it starts to remove the hair instead of it adding it, would you know why this is happening???
Is this the only way you can go back and re adjust the image mentioned here 20:50 , the only way is the History tab?
1:20 I'm running Photoshop 24.0 and the "Select Subject" button that he talks about here does not exist. And the "Select and Mask" button does not exist either.
Did you get this resolved?
plush brush :)))

Thanks!
Thank you Satish!
