Actually it is not hard to learn how to make anything you want in game development, the hardest part is making it, like a builder know how to build anything but building it is the hardest part, maybe from the video it looked for you that it is easy he quickly make everything, but as a game dev I can see the effort and time and headache he puts into the game.

Back in 2017 roblox (when ppl actually made original games) there were similar things but you had to instead defend a fortress and you were the fighter instead of having towers doing the work

Turns out , my tower defense, sometimes have 100 of enemies coming all at once at the same time and its causing the performance issue within the game, Can u tell me how are u handling ur enemy instantiation? and how can I improve my performance for Web, because using the profiler, most of the time, the spike comes due to instantaition of multiple projects at once.
Simplest solution would be to not instantiate more then 1 enemy per frame. You could also use object pooling. I don't know any web specific optimizations, sorry.
But this project genuinly looks awesome, the progress you showed from 25 subscribers, all the way up to almost 7k really shows, especially the graphics- theyre splendid and i absolutly love them. Btw hows the samurai game going

I made it in around 3 weeks, maybe 4. It was made in September/October, so can't remember exactly. This was just a side project, I just tried making it in the least amount of time as possible, no real restrictions or anything.
nope, there's nothing on github. To not shoot through terrain it just does a simple Linecast from the tower to the enemy to determine if the enemy is visible.
Linecasts/raycasts are very cheap, you should easily be able to have 1000 of them a frame without much issue. And you don't have to do line of sight checks every frame either, you can have tick rates, have offset times when each tower checks, can use multi threaded RaycastCommand too. I didn't do any optimization for line of sight as It wasn't causing any performance trouble.
oh damn, you now some tower defense games that have 3d (vertical) levels, where your defenses have line of sight and some enemies have a vertical route? I'd like to know as well
lol, bro The CONCEPT is the same, you added nothing new to it. It's like making Minecraft but you have octagons instead of cubes, or making CS but instead of ct and t sides you have aliens and soldiers xD When you change the setting/location/entities, you make the same but with different assets.

Gemcraft. You are not only defending a tower, you are defending it with other towers. And sometimes you're attacking a tower too.

For basic sound editing Audacity is good enough, but for more complex stuff I use Fl Studio.

nope, there's nothing on github. To not shoot through terrain it just does a simple Linecast from the tower to the enemy to determine if the enemy is visible.

Yes. and I apparently do it every frame for some reason, even though just once (on spawn) should be enough in most cases.
