Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! Which small campers under 5,000lbs GVWR did you like best? Do you prefer a travel trailer, motorhome or 5th wheel? Please say hello by leaving a comment below and sharing your opinion about these RV floor plans.
checked the fit and finish of the Jayco and FR, bought the Lance on year-end closeout. For us two, the swivel rockers, moveable table , and full-size queen bed were the clinchers.
On the 2nd one, the GeoPro the kitchen over-the-counter mount sink will alleviate folks concerns over sinks dropping out due to water seeping underneath. 😊 my pick, #2 would work. #3 maybe. #1 would be someone else favorite.
Forest River for me --- I personally liked the layout the best and also prefer kitchen / living space in the front entrance areas and then the sleeping area in the back. However, with the Jayco, that's a great point about the pros of having window AC units! I never thought of that.
I like the prices of the Jayco & Geo. I like the set up in the Geo, but I don't like the slide out. The Jayco I don't need bunks. Larger bathrooms in all three trailers. The Lance is step up perfectly for what I need, down fall is price & bathroom size.
I like the fact that they have put a window air conditioner unit in instead of a huge roof top air. It will be much easier to install a new one when the time comes to replace it. We are not a fan of the small dinette and we would rather see a reclining love seat, it would suit our needs much better. I was wondering why they didn't put a window above the sink area, who doesn't like to look out in the mornings while sitting on your recliner drinking coffee and tea. Now you only have a blank wall to look at. Moving on to the bathroom, I agree with Mike, I think manufactures should install retractable shower curtains in ALL campers. Much easier to get in and out of shower instead of dealing with a wet clingy curtain. The fact that it doesn't have a sink in the bathroom is not a deal breaker for us. I love the front kitchen on the Geo Pro but having a flip up bunk over the main bed is not an ideal situation if a kid needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and has to climb down on top of you. They need to rethink this idea. The shower in this unit is just too small for adults. Not a fan of the Lance.
We have considered this but it would make the videos too long. We provide basic info and then we figure if someone sees a model they like they can investigate further. You must be a serious boondocker if tank size is a major consideration. Where do you like to go? We are always looking for cool new places to boondock!
Well again so disappointed with the Jayco. What's going on with them ?? The FR is nice but not a fan of bathroom location but LOVE the kitchen set up !! The Lance is way too pricey for the size but the size is perfect !! LOVE the option of a sofa or chairs. Maybe combine FR kitchen in the Lance camper ? Lastly, all 3 need to rethink the shower configuration. Sorry, I need COFFEE !! Thanks Susan & Mike, safe travels !!
We need some coffee too! We quit drinking coffee for a while and we so now that don't have our tolerance built up anymore we are enjoying the coffee buzz in the morning! Thanks for all your comments!
Not much... the max tow capacity of a 2015 jeep renegade latitude is only 2,000 lbs and we recommend you only tow up to 80% of your max tow capacity which is just 1,600 lbs. Jeeps are great for off road adventures but they don't have a good tow capacity.
I don’t like the Jayco flight SLX I’m not a fan of the bed being down the entire time and right smack at the front door. The dinette with the position of the stand would potentially get bumped into... a lot! It looked cheaply made. Now, the FOREST RIVER GEO PRO- I instantly liked the front kitchen, the sponge drawer. Y’all probably already know I’m a fan of drawers being apart of the kitchen cabinetry. I like the swivel table. The sofa looks comfortable. It’s a nice color. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the 3 windows at the back of the trailer surrounding the bed and the Alice in wonderland “drink me” size shower. 😂 I’m so sorry, I would not fit!!! 🙃. That would be one frustrating bath time. Other than that, it was a nice trailer. The LANCE 1475 was snug. The sofa option with slide would be the better choice, for me between the swivel chair or upgraded slide out model. The shower was a bit more roomy. I was surprised at the size of the bathroom.
I’m looking for a camper this size that has somewhere to place two CPAP machines on each side of the bed. Anybody out there seen something that would work?
Hmmm...we will keep an eye out for something... interested issue. This is a great question to ask in our private Facebook group called RV Camping for Newbies. Here's the link in case you wanna join. facebook.com/groups/RVCampingforNewbies Thanks for watching! Mike
I can just imagine a 6'1" or taller guy bending over to wash his legs and banging his head on that sink counter! The bathroom is terrible in that Lance. Kitchen was nice though. I would take #2.😊
Not to sound gross but when you do your elbow test I think your elbows are too high. I have never seen anybody have their hand and elbow up that high to wipe their bottoms. Lol
I don't think solid wood cabinets have been used in any camper for years...many years. They are just too heavy and way to expensive. What campers do you know of that have solid wood cabinets?
What makes you say that? Most of these trailers are built for the weekend camper not full timers. And they are built to be a light as possible. What campers do you think are high quality and why do you think so? Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike

I like the front kitchen and bed in back for privacy. Thanks for your review!
The front kitchen is pretty awesome! Thanks for watching!

Lance builds a very good camper - good choice!
Wow, the Geo seems like such a better value than the Lance when the prices are compared.
Great stuff, thanks!
The Geo seems to be the favorite with the kitchen design. Thanks for watching!
This was very thorough, thank you
Thanks! Glad you liked the video!
Nice units but the Lance price is crazy high...
Never pay sticker price! Negotiate or buy used and save a bundle!

Hey Erin! Good point on the kitchen sink! Thanks for watching and especially for your comments!
Use the tub as the sink
Haha! Never thought of that before. Big pots and pans would no longer be a problem!
I love Jayco campers, but this one could use more drawers in the kitchen. The Forest River kitchen is gorgeous. The Lance is waaaaaay too expensive.
That kitchen is pretty cool! We agree about the Jayco. And Lance is a high quality trailer but you have to pay for it.
Forest River for me --- I personally liked the layout the best and also prefer kitchen / living space in the front entrance areas and then the sleeping area in the back. However, with the Jayco, that's a great point about the pros of having window AC units! I never thought of that.
Thanks Jules...I'm glad I could offer a different perspective!
I'd go with the GeoPro - love that front kitchen! - despite the slideout 🫤. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I like the Jayco. Being single it fits me. The bunk beds are bonus. I have 3 grand sons. As for no sink, it is not a deal breaker.
Jayco has some nice trailers. Thanks for watching and have fun camping with your grandsons!

Hi Mary - all good observations!
Thanks for watching!
It would be ok to not have sink in the bathroom, but in turn would be ideal to have a actual usable sink in the kicthen
Agree with that!
Thanks for watching!
Mike
Could we please have more class A and class B RV’s these seem to be few a far between, thank you, keep up the awesome work from here in the UK
We are working on a Class A tour video now and it will be out in the next several weeks.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words too!

Hi Judy,
Thanks for your comment! Very thorough!
For the amount of money, the Lance should have had a large sink and more accomodating bathroom.m
Totally agree!
Thanks for watching!
I like the jayco
Jayco makes some great floor plans. Thanks for commenting!
Ok the F R geo pro is my favorite put twin beds in and I'm there!
It would be very helpful if you could list off the tank sizes in your reviews.
We have considered this but it would make the videos too long. We provide basic info and then we figure if someone sees a model they like they can investigate further.
You must be a serious boondocker if tank size is a major consideration. Where do you like to go? We are always looking for cool new places to boondock!
I like the last one better
Why do you like that one the best?

Thanks for watching and for your comments!
I lile the front kitchen and rear bed on the GeoPro BUT GeoPro's never have much storage.
Very true - but very little storage space is true for many travel trailers.
@@RVBlogger it is why I ended up buying an Imagine Aim 16ML. Grand Design understands how to include storage.
@@sssophiesmom we love the floor plan of the 16ML. Spacious bathroom!
I wasn't a fan of any of them. But there are so many options out there.
That's the whole point...there are tons of great options. But has anyone ever found the perfect camper? There are always trade-offs.
I’m looking for a camper this size that has somewhere to place two CPAP machines on each side of the bed. Anybody out there seen something that would work?

LOL! That is very true!
I don’t understand the BH
What do you mean by that? What about the BH do you not understand?
Thanks,
Mike
After the number like the 174RBX what does that mean rbx
@@kennyscott1591 Oh...gotcha - BH usually means Bunk House and RBX would mean Rear Bath (Not sure what the X means)
@@RVBlogger oh ok no thank I you
No bathroom sink is o k as long as there’s a hand sanitizer in place,
Hi Mildred...we agree!
Hope you are doing well!
Mike and Susan
The materials they are using these days are so cheap. Miss the days of solid wood cabinets.
I don't think solid wood cabinets have been used in any camper for years...many years. They are just too heavy and way to expensive. What campers do you know of that have solid wood cabinets?
Chinook was one of them.
@@CamperMan727 I'll check them out. I think they have solid wood fronts (very common) but not the entire cabinet...
Bathrooms need a sink.
What about hand sanitizer in the bathroom? Would that work?
Thanks for watching!
Mike
Everything about these trailers screams cheap material. Stuff seems like it would break easily and or not last at all.
What makes you say that? Most of these trailers are built for the weekend camper not full timers. And they are built to be a light as possible. What campers do you think are high quality and why do you think so?
