- I get excited when I get to tour high end vans, but what's also nice is when we get ideas from high end vans that we can do too! Check out Terra X as they as some of the best builders I've seen.
Always love when I get the chance to check out pro builders. Terra X knows what they are doing for sure and look forward to following up with them in the future. There was lots that I loved and a bit that I wasn’t so cool with... the Fluor colour IN the van and the colours inside but other than they, brilliant!! I’d love to know the cost of the build though??

I'm from Germany, running lots of Festool stuff myself and you are absolutely right: they are just the best for carpentry. And yet, they're called Festool (without s) :) It dates back to when they were called Festo Tooltechnic as a company. Anyway, keep up the good work, you are amazing!
I love the color in the garage. Aside from being sealed, it helps the eye see things.
When talking about stains, first thing he said was "blood." About the siding, "bulletproof." These 2 are traveling hired assassins, right?

Yup. When I do my build, a toilet shower is a must. It will predominantly house me so it will be a selfish build.
They will make a van however you want......We never used our shower so the next won't have one...... it depends on how you use the van, for us we use the van as a weekend getaway and annual summer holidays, we aren't living in it. We will have a night here and there at a "informal camp" but we will then have a few nights at a proper camping, so we can shower then. It adds cost, takes a lot of space, and showering in a van or caravan is rubbish.....
The lift up countertop to access the huge fridge and freezer is one of the most ingenious ideas I have ever seen! And ive watched a LOT of van/bus/car builds. Absolutely amazing! I would *need* a freezer for myself, and so many builds don't have one or one that can only fit ice. That is such a *luxury* in these homes. Amazing!!!
I wonder how useful all that countertop space could be if you have to clear it off every time you need to access the fridge.
Love everything about this, the van, the company and the people. They seem like they’d be great to work with.

So nice to see these 2 come so far. I remember their 1st build, an your 1st interview with them. They are 2 perfect couples that are living life to the fullest. I love their builds. To the smallest detail, to the biggest projects. Love their color schemes as well.
Love it. Sadly your guests couldn't explain their ideas because you know everything they did. So, they became redundant, although if you're reviewing something that is not your project with the owners and creators, they should have, let's say, some 80 to 90 percent of the time rather on you taking over everything before they did. I could tell they would have been amazing explaining their own project.
My goodness... You're not wrong and you're not right (including all of you who have hit thumbs up). Different people have different styles. Jarrod is over the top excited and talking over others is a part of that. If you don't like it, if it's not your preference, if it rubs you the wrong way, don't watch. Some people are here because they like his excitement. He's gotten your kind of message many times over from many people and hasn't changed probably because he doesn't want to. His choice.

@@solarrs this couple is sooo coool, easy going, and exactly what this "camper" life represents. But this guy looks like he selling "as seen on TV" at 4am.
Unfortunately the way he overstep every time the guess is explaining makes the vlog not enjoyable at all. I wondering that's what a lot of people watch the videos but the subscribers are not as much. I came along to watch the video just for the title and after 30 sec he lost me. I wanted to look for the couple to see if they have their own vlog but I couldn't find it, so I have to go back to this one.....NOT FUN AL ALL.
What a well-designed build. Gotta find a way to fit a bathroom in there but I love it.

Sheesh surprised by the number of comments criticizing you for yelling, them being quiet, etc. I could hear everyone just fine! You know the second you spoke softer you'd start getting criticism for being dull/unenthusiastic. I really like your tours, they're informative, fun, and give us a chance to see a lot of vans we wouldn't otherwise see--not every van lifer is a youtube/video pro! This van is sick and definitely gave me a few ideas.
Great design and excellent workmanship!! Very talented couple. I'm super impressed with the build and finishes but I also realize it isn't anything I could afford unless I hit the lottery.
I like your videos. But please invest in a couple of microphones for your guests. It’ll be so much easier to hear them.

Alex is the typical German perfectionist. I could imagine him standing in front that sliding cupboard door for hours. Great job 👏🏼 personally I think it's to dark inside for such a small space and I'm missing a dedicated shower and toilet room.

Totally thought the same thing, as an Austrian/German-American. I remember my father dropping our ceiling to save energy on heating/cooling in our very long living room. One end was 1/8 inch lower than the other, which was completely not noticeable. He took the whole thing down and redid it until it was perfect. It's in our genetic structure.

Very gorgeous designs of this mobile house. I 💘 the campers cabinets and the part of the video where you all have covered the cabinets and the point about protecting your head from bumping on the corners. This is a keeper camper for sure

I love the colour scheme. I will have light grey and black on my build though and more chrome.
Can't wait to see more van builds in the new AWD Transits. The two main drawbacks with the Mercedes is they are extremely expensive to work on, and that's only if you can find a mechanic who is certified to work on them. Ford has way more dealerships nationwide than Mercedes does. This is still a pretty cool van build, though.
Ditto on the Transits. Ford is getting their act together with their latest AWD. Plus more headroom and width in the High Roof Transit compared to Sprinter.
For those sliding overhead cabinet doors...some sheet Teflon in the tracks would probably work nicely for a smooth slide.
I thought that was one of the best features of the build. The slides need some drag to stay in place while driving, unless you use latches or magnets (my pref)

Love that she was honest about the finger print less mica...it’s so true that it stains more easily. And I love the humidity gage but I would want a dehumidifier to go along with the gage. I wonder if it’s possible to have a dehumidifier in a van?
And as for you Jarrod...I love that you speak while behind the camera. I think it must be so awkward for the person showing their van when the camera person doesn’t respond while they are explaining their van🤷🏼♀️

Pretty awesome van! Love the secret sauce vinyl. I really like the projector idea too. Looks like something that can easily used in different areas since the screen is not a permanent fixture. It would be cool if where you hook up the projector (its stand) could also be moved to different areas or the van.

Yes the screen and projector is a great idea. And mobile and perhaps one day put up an out door screen to watch with friends out in the woods.

I’ve never seen that on any other van build and I always wonder how many van lifers have holes on their foreheads. 🏆
I would like to see rounded corners, though, on every edge ...every counter, every table, every upper storage...
Fun fact: I have a dent and a crack from my hairline to just above my eyebrow from cracking my head on my parents kitchen counter cubbords as a kid haha.

Hey can you do a video about van life during Corona virus. Getting basic things like water, bathrooms, electricity if you don’t have solar, etc? We’re in a unique position and it would be great to have solitarily with van lifers during this crazy time.
cantalot ya fortunately the coffee shops in my area are doing pick up and keeping the bathrooms open so people can go in out with minimal contact while doing what they need. If that ends, Im planning to resort to highway gas stations and rest stops.

Jarrod - you review/tour some pretty cool vans. I am having difficulty watching your videos because the camera movement is too much. It’s distracting and almost makes me feel motion sick. Flipping from color to black and white is not effective in showing/telling your story either. It’s all very distracting. Could you use a tool of some sort to smooth out the camera movements, and stick to color or black and white?
Well done interview. Microphone for your interviewees would be helpful. Also lighting was a little dark, hard to see some items. But again, well done interview. Very informative. High lighted products you don’t see often.

I would need to sleep side-to-side and create room for a bathroom w/shower and a closet. THEN it would be a 'luxury' van
They wanted counter top space. Most van builds have like 7ft of countertop space, which is more than a studio apartment. If im not mistaken the cargo area of a sprinter 170 is 14 or 16ft long. That means they used almost half of their build on countertops. The side with the stove was like 5ft and the bed was probaly 6ft.
Yes. I wouldn’t call this ‘luxury’...it’s no better than many other vans I’ve seen.
@@MarkeD213BustA with their super wicked lifting counter top to hide the fridge and freezer I wouldnt even need the other counter top. It perplexes me when vans use so much space for counters because when are you using them other then when cooking? It looks sleek and pretty but just seems like a waste of space.

The "garage" is beautiful! I'd lean toward all wood and beveled corners vs the child proof bumpers on the corners. One thing they could improve is to mount a beveled box to lift all roof items to better water proof all mounted hardware. There is no doubt Terra X is not notch craftsmanship! It really shows in the final product!

i would like to see a { FAN OUT } sys above the stove so when a person cooks the smoke/heat from the cooking can be taken out of the van. i know it’s gonna add to the build but i think it’s needed. should make it so it can run off dual power , electric or solar. i was really impressed with the the location of the cooler , fantastic.

They are obviously very handy, they should take the skylight LED's out and replace them, and maybe even add a dimmer to it. Modifying it would be an easy enough job for them imo. Having every little detail custom-designed and so many parts hand made it only makes sense to not leave this one thing that they both don't like as is.

kitchen can be built behind the cab and there will be a lot of area for a tall closet and a washroom on both sides.
