The streets are littered with dead orphans.
The rich and powerful live in arcologies where they are safe from the pollution of the world. They have wars with each other where the poor are killed en masse but the arcologies are never harmed.

Now knowing what that knight Belius tried and did, makes seeing the death knight not only overpower him but thrusting it blade into him repeatedly while he's screaming for it to stop is even more satisfying

I get that it wasn't Ainz's plan to get these guys to invade Nazarick, but he did agree to it, so it just feels a bit hypocritcal as it was hardly neccesary to allow them to invade in order to show off Nazarick's power.

Honestly knowing the original world Satoru (Ainz) was living in I think it's better that he got in this accident and was transported to the New World. He's alone in World 2138, an average salaryman, and although he's not a human anymore I'd say the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.
His old world's kinda fcked up if you really think about it. At least, in the environmental aspect.

Dude, we just learned in this video that their environment is toxic, their ocean is poison, the animal kingdom is fucked, and one of Ainz’s gamer buddies was murdered by a megacorporation. You don’t have to think about it that hard, his world is a nightmare and they spell it out in terms plain enough to see from Space.
And now he in turn goes and fucks up the new world. Ironic.

The darkest part seriously is the destruction of the Earth in that universe.
Yeah I wished the anime can show the life of ainz before he was the ruler of death. I mean he had no family and the world he was living in is completely shit. That why he talks about people with power can do whatever they want i mean the stuff he says he's speaking from both sides.
That's also why a fair share of players in the game spends their time just exploring the world of ygdrassil. A sentiment Ainz didn't undestand before but do now after seeing how beautiful the new world is.
Read some of the comments, one said that Ainz basically came from hell not of fire but of toxic waste.
No wonder Ainz chose a skelington as his avatar.
It's really hard for me to put a solid estimate on Ainz's alignment. He pops in like a kind savior at some points and commands a "Serve me or die" mentality on random innocence in others and though he is consistent in his father-like personality towards the guardians of Nazarik, even to some of them he has shown a sociopathic tendency. It's interesting how I can't tell if I hate Ainz or love him because even if you know exactly what's going on in his head, you never know what he's going to do.
If i remember the stats of him correctly, his Character had a Karma Stat of -100 which means in terms of the Yggdrasil game his Character is completely evil. Even if his normal human personality survived, i wouldn't be surprised if he slowly is turning evil because of that. The only two things, he loved, were his friends in his guild and the NPC they all created.
If memory serves, he does have an inner monologue in the light novel. Wherein he speculates that him being undead is ever so gradually bleeding into his personality. Thus drastically affecting his decision making in some regards.
I'd feel confident in saying Lawful Evil. He has no qualms massacring innocents but is still willing to abide by a form of code and respects others who do the same. He is willing to slaughter an entire kingdom and sit down with the ruler of said kingdom beforehand for a courteous discussion.

"Evil" people aren't just mosters who don't love anyone, and most importantly they aren't evil in their own eyes--they truly persuade themselves to be making the only possible choice in every situation. Ainz strikes me as something like lawful evil.
The more I hear about the "real world", the more I like the idea of the series ending on Ainz conquering it as well or just destroying it and wiping everyone out like Attack on Titan.
Imagine satoru waking up from his VR set and saying "man, that was a long dream", still in his human form and unknowingly his power's from yggdrassil is still with him he stands up and goes outside forgetting to wear his Hazmat suit but the toxic gas doesn't affect. After an hour he come to realize he basically has the abilities and skills he had when he was Ainz and then plans to rule the real world starting with taking down the big shots like how he did with the virtual world.
Arche and her sisters didn't deserved all that suffering 😢

Also it is quite strange for noble families to sell their children into slavery. There were many poor nobles in the past, worst case scenario is sending children to monastery, but that was exceptionally rare. Usually some relatives or friends took care of children if their family can't afford that anymore. So you can blame author and forget about this case.

Regarding bellriver, wiki said that before he died he gave that information to someone. A lot of speculation said that someone could be ulbert. I just hope there will be more info regarding this fact in future volume.
Actually that speculation is wrong because they tried to somehow join to things from a different moment in time. The bellriver thing that was stated in his character reveal by sobin, and that time we knew there was a fight between touch me and Ulbert (if I'm not mistaken) for something they said. We don't know what it was the thing they fought for but we know a member or a friend leaved the guild or the game for it. Later on ainz got ascended as leader of the guild

He's a very morally grey character, he's done some horrific things but he's not completely heartless. Ainz spared the three elf slaves because they didn't willing intrude on Nazarick, had their ears healed, and also gave them better living conditions than their homeland.

It is said that Bellriver actually managed to tell the information he had to someone else before he was killed, but who it is we don't know.. they refered to the person as "a certain someone" could it be Touch me since he's a cop? who knows

It makes A LOT more sense to me now why one of the requirements to be in thr guild was to be an active worker in society since their world is utterly fucked
The only i feels bad about are Archer and her sisters she did only want to make enough money so she could take her sister and live a happy life, that did break my heart afther the awsome scene in Nazarick that her sisters was waiting for her in front of the windows. Sad that Ainz didt see the value to keep the team alive like Enri and the village.
Because there was none, Fluder is superior to Arche. One mistake they made is lying about his friends which is his weakness (Albedo knows it and hates it).

ii prefer to define evil person as person who willingly and has a great wanting to do evil things, like Demiurge. I definitely won't say Ainz is a good guy, but i would prefer to call him as a neutral person or a person between evil and good, he is basically just doing what benefit nazarick and his comrade, and that deed can be evil or just.

@@Planetdestroyer.138 i don't know, as far as it goes, i definitely really enjoy Overlord even if there is not anyone who could give any single treat to him. It's just how the author handle the OP trope to be good or not. No-treat to the MC is not a thing that absolutely make the story bad, there are an instances where OP character with no enemy can beat him become boring and there are instance when it's not.
and "better" is definitely subjective. Depends on what your priorities is, better can vary between people.

i got one question about Arche's sisters, i remember back when the episode aired that some ppl were saying that in the novel they were bought by Nazarick by Ains order and they became maids there, they said the elves slaves from that one dude also stayed in nazarick, is that correct? i could never confirm it.
Perphaps they became maids in the WN, but not in the LN. And yes, in the Light Novel the three elven slaves were taken by nazarick and are working under Aura and Mare's supervision.
That’s the web novel. In the WN Maruyama held a poll to see if Arche lived or died. Obviously she was voted to live. Which actually disappointed Maruyama. She was kept as a sex slave for Shalltear. Later she teaches Ainz how to act like a noble and he found her sisters and brought them to Nazarick.
Obviously in the LN he did what he always wanted to do and killed her off.

Yeah, Maruyama actually hates how female characters in Japan get so much plot armor. So that’s why he was disappointed. Shit, I heard he was planning on killing off the Blue Roses in V14. But he was convinced by his editor not to do it. So chances seem pretty high that in one of the next two volumes those bitches are going “bye bye”.

@@ZephyrBW True. A lot of aspects of Overlord were based on popular RP gamebooks that contained stories about fantastic settings, spells, heroes and villains, etc. in Tabletop Games.
Just twist some stuff around to make it darker, and a lot starts coming into place.

All the guards were killed, by Sebas. The elite and guests either got away or wete captured by the Kingdom somdiers and put in prison. Later on they were freed from prison and are not hiding in the fake Nazarick near the lizardmen village,according to Ainz directions.
Overlord sounds like today's humas future. I think the rain 🌧 was so acidic and radioactive that probably became purple or green due to how bad and how polluted the air environment was.🤔🧐😳
There are actually two endings to Arches sisters story. In the LN, for sisters died due to overwork. In the web novel, Arche doesn’t die she’s turned in the shalltears toy, the sisters were still sold into slavery, but they were given to Ainz as sacrifices by a cult that worship him, and then they were reunited
Guess Maruyama wanted the light novel to be more fucked up than the web novel.
With lots of this it is easy to see why Ainz is more alive now as an undead than in his old life. Their world is basically ours in 100 years at the rate we're going.

Wait, about the skin used to produce the scrolls in Nazarick I remember they used the skin from a half-human species that resembled a goat. About the fact that they healed the injuries in order to produce more of them it's true, but you missed the fact that Demiurge made them eat the babies from their own tribe (but made them decide which to pick so that they wouldn't eat their own children)
no they take the skin of Humans. Demiurg simply called them "sheep" as a joke (Ainz didn't got it).
And about the Children: Demiurg lets the children meet their parents, tells parents and children what is about to happen, turns the children into minced meat in front of their parents and maks the Parents eat them. And he specifically makes parents eat their own children.

In the Web Novel, Kuuderika and her sister, Ureirika were sold into slavery after Arche vanished. She and her sister were given to Ainz Ooal Gown as sacrifices to a cult of nobles that worshiped him. Ainz later returned them to Arche, allowing them to live peacefully on the 6th Floor.
LN is different! I think they were sold as sex slave by their parents and then died of exhaustion.

Wow, pobre Arche, matan a sus compañeros, es atormentada por un vampiro y denegada de toda esperanza, la asesinan. No sólo eso, sino que la descuartizan, usan su cabeza para un demonio, los brazos se los quedan otros demonios de poca monta, le arrancan la piel, y el resto del cuerpo es utilizado para comida. Y lo peor es que sus dos hermanitas son vendidas como esclavas, y mueren, no sé si dicen esto en el anime, pero no he leído el manga y es muy triste y perturbador.
