Hello From Reno Nevada im a disabled heavy Equipment mechanic crushed my spine at work i really enjoy watching your videos you know we are 75% farms here they only advertise all the casinos keep up the good work thanks for sharing your lives ive seen alot of things to make life easier take care Rob
Hey. We went through Reno on our way up to Mammoth mountain one year, loads of interesting places along the way. So sad to hear of your cruel accident.
Mississippi country girl here, thank you for sharing your life with us!🤩 I never had a close relationship with my Father, I would give everything to have a Father like you Mr Sonne! And for Jr you rock sweetie, your so well mannered! You must make your parents proud! Keep it coming, GOD blessed you and your family n friends!
From a big city dweller I think farmers are the coolest group of people in this country. What would we do without this group. Make our lawmakers aware of the importance of our farming communities.
I love the videos you make Cole. Keep them coming! I can't get enough of your videos! I really enjoy watching channels where families work together and yours is my favorite! Other channels might share basic information but your videos are so funny! You guys clearly have fun working together. It's important for families to stick together, especially these days. There is something very valuable about the "wisdom of the white hair". There's so much knowledge we gain as we grow older. Brian is obviously a smart man to keep his ranch going for so long... and he's definitely a proud Dad. I love his dad jokes! Can't wait for the next video!
Truly enjoy your videos. Your Dad is like no other. Still a strong farmer to the soul. Love seeing you two work so well togather. Russell in Houston,Texas
Hello Cole, Brian, an Jeff , BIG shout for MOM , love Ellie just doing her thing , i finally caught up on the video watching, thankn you all for all efforts to share your Beautiful American Farming productions , always learning, so much involved to run the place , Peace Blessings Craig ,
You guys are the best I love how you interact with one another........I missed out on that with my dad he wasn’t in my life until just before he passed away from Cancer....God Bless you both and the family
You guy have been busy busy! That hay hiker is pretty cool how it collects the rolls and places them in straight lines when your done! Saves time I reckon... Hope you are all doing good! 🤗😋
@@briansonne814 You guys are awesome, you make me laugh loads with your banter and jokes and also your bond! I was a fan beforehand But now I'm an air conditioner 😁🤣
Hay hay hay family Sonne!! I hope you had a great birthday Brian and Cole was suitably generous to you. I love the hay hiker, what a great bit of kit. The way the bales unload onto the floor is very satisfying. When you picked up the bale and it didnt fall on right reminded me of wrapping silage bales, if you had a mis-shapen one they would do that and end up jammed half on and half off, or they would spin off halfway through being wrapped. I thought your camera would be a goner inside the muckspreader Cole, I was dreading a stone to flick up off the beaters and wipe it out. Thanks for another great episode of Sonne farms!! Stay safe all and god bless. Dave.
This was an amazing video watching you guys pick up that hay from the field… The aerial shots were magnificent!! Truly enjoyed watching the tractors turn in opposite circles to go pick up the next bail and it look like you guys are having a little fun out there once in a while… At least I hoped you were. That new piece of equipment you used definitely made things go a lot faster… Only you guys come let us know just how much difference it made. It was wonderful seeing a father and son enjoy farming together because there’s so many stories about fathers and sons who are angry at each other and by the time the sun hits 16 to 18 years of age he’s threatening to leave and doesn’t want to have anything to do with his dad or the farm so, I think you guys are an exemplary Case of how it can be between Father and Son on the Farm♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
That bale hiker is awesome! Love how it empties everything in one straight line - no rearranging. A helluva lot better than one or a few at a time! You were doing great, Cole - practice makes perfect. The bale you wrecked can be used as bedding for Ellie when she doesn’t want to come in this winter lol
I know you and your dad are professional farmers, I still admire your skills with something akin to awe at what you both accomplish. Your mom I know is equally accomplished. From here in Montreal, you are greatly appreciated. Linda
GREAT to watch an enthusiastic young farmer working with his Dad!!! Thanks for very informative, interesting videos which are great for watching during this pandemic, and would be very enjoyable and interesting for all the city folks who never get to see a large, successful farm operation!! Wish you and your family unlimited success!!
My name is Brandon I am a country boy so I play farm simulator 2019 a lot and watching you guys truly gave me more onsite when it comes to playing farm sim lot of things I didn’t know how they really worked on a a cattle farm but you guys truly helped me out with it so looking forward to watching more of your amazingly awesome videos keep up the awesome work guys 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The hay hiker is an interesting concept. I would love to see the 14 bailer in action. I love it when you are spreading the wealth with the manure spreader. I helped my grandpa on his farm when I was a kid. Watching you do it makes me feel young again.
We cut and bale hay all summer right up to frost. Everyday from sun up until sun down. I like your equipment. My big brother has been doing it yearly since he was born almost. Man we cut and bale a lot of hay. We cut wheat, Rye ,and oat hay first, then burmuda and some hay grazer. Blue stem and even crab grass and anything else someone has. We cut some beat-all blue stem 70 acres that made over 500 round bale. They added those microbes and it really grew. We still have 1,000 bales to haul for a Rancher that leases land and the guy he leases off of makes him buy all of his hay. So we hired out to haul it. I like that round bale hauler the demonstrator. Nice. We use a 14 bale hauler that you slide all the bales forward and we dump them all at the same time. And we use flatbed goose neck like you guys do. We use John Deere tractors balers and swathers. We also use other brands too. In five years the tractors and equipment is flat dab wore out. lol
I hope your lip is okay Cole. Tell your dad I said it's okay to take the rest of the day off. If you hold a cold can of beer on your lip it will help with the swelling. What you have to do is, hold it on there for about 3 or 4 minutes. After that you drink the beer because you don't want it to get warm. Repeat as necessary until the pain subsides. Don't worry about day drinking, first of all because it's medicinal and second, like the song says, it's 5:00 somewhere. ( trust me, I'm related to a doctor )
My husband worked on John Deere equipment 50 years. My Dad retired from International Harvester. Good conversations between the two of them. I would love watch a big farm 👍. Keep up the good hard work.
Had a Fence-work Friday turn into a Sunrise Saturday. Got it wrapped up and was watching the vid in the truck during lunch. Apparently I took an unplanned nap at 6:40 due to the relaxing music, woke up to 16:06 with the worst anxiety! Thought a gate got pushed open! 😂 CAN'T hear the girlfriend on the other side of the room, or so I'm told...CAN hear a gate open half a mile away! Stay Sunny, Sonne's! 🇺🇸🐮💪❤️
So awesome to find your channel! We pass your road each time we drive down to Yankton. Lots of family there and miss "home"...........I'll have to look for your road next time we come visit from Seattle. Got our here by the military back in the day and all the kids are here otherwise we'd live back home near SF or Yak. Great to see SO DAK on the tube! Blessings
Good video! The double wide 14 bale would be the way to go if you were going to do it. To much travel time up and down the roads for the 7 bale model. The 14 bale model would definitely save you guys a lot of time with the hooking and unhooking of trailers.
I really enjoyed watching this video think u for sharing it with us keep them coming and think u for all the work that you'll do can't wait to watch the next one
Shout out to Saskatoon, home of Saskdutchkid! Hello from Saskatchewan everyone. I could see the hay raker used for staging. Picking up all the bales in the field and leaving them in double rows for the tractor with double forks to load and haul to the yard. If hauling any distance 7 bales probably wouldn’t cut it. You should have timed one of your loads to one of your dad’s hauling the same amount as him. Interesting video though. We have had 2 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. No haying here.
I farm for a living in TN. I started watching TH-cam videos to educate myself on different practices around this Great Country we live in. I just enjoy enjoy watching y’all for entertainment. Not that I ain’t learning something but y’all seem down to earth. I would say some of the other you tubers probably ain’t that nice if you met them in person.
should definetly try out a double wide hay hiker we have a 8 bale one works good cant get any bigger without destroying tractor brakes on our river hills. i have ran a 14 bale rig they are awesome for time efficiency i would look into one more towards that size for your operation if you have the horsepower!
I stumbled across y'all about 5 months ago, (March 2021), so I'm loving going back n watching old videos. 👍 A couple of days ago I watched the latest video, (26th August 2021), of the 3rd cutting, raking n bailing n commented how my slight OCD had me loving it as it makes the farms look neat n tidy. Now I have to say I'm loving the scoop 'em up on the fly bail collector SO70(?) of this July 2020 video. Loving it I tell you! 😁💙 Then cried when you spread the manure n made it all messy. So much so that I had to get my vacuum out n tidy up already clean timber floors just to settle my OCD. LOL! 😄 Are you going to be using/demo the vacuum bailer picker-upper again this year? Love your work Cole, Brian, Jeff n Ellie. And I'd love to see more of Mrs Brian too, where are you Tammy?! ! 💙🙏
Nice addition to your haying implements , love y'alls videos, I look forward to seeing every video , y'all takecare and hope you get some beneficial rain for your soybeans, corn and hay fields, I know that can be a huge stresser .
Having a Highline bale mover I can tell you from experience that the bale fork needed to be slid out another 12 inches at the least. It helps by giving you more room to get the bales in without tearing the netwrap. It can also prevent the bales spinning 90 degrees so you can’t pick them up.
This is some really good stuff. I love it keep it coming . I’m a Physical Education teacher here in Georgia but I feel like a farm guy. Keep ‘em coming I will watch. Thanks!!
Cole, this was just a very, very good video! You did a good job of the demo of the Hay Hiker and you will just get better with demos as you go. The manufacturer, distributor, and your contact would like to see their names on the screen - that's understandable and will draw you more offers. You will get lots more offers to demo equipment and implements, and if you associate with 5 or 6 manufacturers/distributors/ag companies like seed and chemical suppliers, they can keep you very busy at the farm shows in the offseason. That is very lucrative and allows opportunities for collaborations with other TH-camrs which is the very best way to grow your channel. Keep up the good work. You are on your way!
Thanks so much for sharing the video. I am impressed with the hay hiker. As many bales as y'all have to move, investing in the 14 bale hiker would be very helpful.
again, great multiple camera angles, that's a cool way to keep the videos more interesting that a single shot. Kudos! And the hay hiker, daaang. That's cool. Ummm, wow, Ellie. Tough call on who to run to! Thanks for the ever growing number of videos that are a pleasure to watch. How the heck is Lake Sonne still even muddy?
i grew up on a farm. farmed until 16. family lost out because of subs and larger farms dropping prices. you know, economy stuff. little guy loses out, ect. i miss it. i enjoy watching your videos. so thanks for making them.
Always interesting & enjoyable. I have said this before but you do come up with some excellent camera positions / angles. The camera going out the manure spreader "over & under" was neat. Thanks for sharing. 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜
Not necessarily, could always use the smaller mover to gather all the bales in a field into one long pile. Then the loader tractors don't have to drive around much to load trailers up.
We have a Kosch Balehandler - had to chuckle on the bale shifted while trying to load. There’s always one that no matter what you do, it won’t load until you’ve torn off the net wrap.
Just found you guys today and I have been binge watching all day I really enjoy watching and learning. I know it's hard work but you make it look easy look forward to watching all of your videos thanks again for sharing!!!
Poor puppy,, that's like asking a child which parent they like better. The hay hiker was ok to watch but at seven bales a trip it's no improvement on what you already have going. Good vid, poor Ellie. Peace.
If you’re only hauling a couple of miles, I bet the hay hiker will haul more bales faster than having to load and unload each bale. You’re unloading 7 bales in a couple of seconds and continuously moving while you’re loading. We have an in-line 7 bale trailer and I can haul hay way faster than my father in law can with his gooseneck flatbed.
@@briansonne814 yeah, the hay hiker does not have the capacity to make it worth while it looks like. it looks like the gooseneck trailer is the most efficient since you dont have to get out of the tractor to hook and unhook the trailer. good haying.....
Hey cole I enjoy the vedio and that new piece of equipment you was running that would save a lot of trips in the field I been working on the barn today and a friend of mind was helping me and it was a hot one today I wish I could have something like that to move hay stay safe and your family to looking forward to the next vedio and tell Jeff I said hey to stay cool cloe talk to you again in a day or to

You probably "need" the 14 bale mover especially since you've got a bit of a haul to get them yarded. Looks like a great piece of equipment!
it would definately need to be a 14 bale
Would a 14 baler fit through most gates?
Not necessarily, could always use the smaller mover to gather all the bales in a field into one long pile. Then the loader tractors don't have to drive around much to load trailers up.
What is the price of such a machine?

Another great video, as always. Thank you so much for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for video.
Nice piece of kit there. I have to load from the rear with my 8 bale loader and it takes two tractors or a pickup and tractor.
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome video, thank you from.......Mount Vernon, Texas
Really enjoying your channel. More Mom and Dad please. How are her flowers doing?
Awesome Video and Much LOVE as Always 🌞 Farms!!!!
Interesting piece of equipment, but I agree with the statement that the bale forks seem to work faster.
Yep, they might. But then you have to trailer them and singly off Ioad them. My family has the 14 bale mover...
Poor puppy,, that's like asking a child which parent they like better. The hay hiker was ok to watch but at seven bales a trip it's no improvement on what you already have going. Good vid, poor Ellie. Peace.
agreed
Everyone can start crying now...that massey is mine! Mahuauauaua!!
of course always enjoy watching 👏👏👏
Another grate video thank you. Looking forward to seeing the next instalment. Regards Richard

Have you ever considered a contest for subscribers where the prize would be the opportunity to visit your farm, for a say a week, to work along-side you guys?
That would be great
