Brian you don't need to show the world how a father loves their child. However the video sequence around 13 min I felt the love you have for your family and you children. Cole this would not happen unless you had awesome loving parents. My hat is off to you as a family.
Your father and son dynamic is epic. The old man is a bloody good rooster. Reminds me of my old man and I back in the day before I had my own family. Good memories!
Still praying for rain. We are back to 100+ degrees with extreme heat warnings. Also praying that the store takes off and maintains a good solid clientele. God Bless Y'all 🙏🙏
I can see a Video of Brian walking through a corn field. In the background off camera Cole whispers "If you build it, he will come." Brian looks around, "If you build it, he will come." Brian looks into the distance and sees the Storla shop in the corn. The new "Wall Drug" of Storla, SD. Future vacation stop.
I'm praying for a 4th cutting. You for the hay, me for the drone meditations. I can never get enough time listening to that acoustic guitar and watching you two bail.
I love you guys. Farmers ARE American Heroes. I'm so grateful for all of the farmer partners involved in the Co-Op store. You all work so hard for America's food supply. Thanks to Brian, Jeff and Cole.
You guys are so likable, dare I say lovable!?!? You bring your viewers in with being your natural selves and with your great father-son relationship. You both have great, fun personalities that are a joy to watch. I enjoy every video....you guys rock!!!
I really hope the store takes off and is very successful. You guys seem like really great guys and I wish you the best. Cole, what is your favorite job on the farm? You really seem to enjoy baling. You do a right neat jobn thre buddy. Great video and thanks.
If you want the store to takeoff then more people need to move to the country where they live and give them business. Not a bad lifestyle but can be very challenging.
For Brian - A recent college grad visits a farm one day. He approaches the farmer and points to one of the trees. "You know, with the methods you old farmers use, I'd be surprised if you could get one bushel of apples from that tree" says the college grad. "I'd be too" the farmer answers. "That's a peach tree."
Your father and son relationship is great keep up the great videos. Your attitude is eye opening even with hard times with little rain you have a great attitude.
In my hometown of Douglass, KS, there is a restaurant named The Triangle. Small town diner with Mexican/American food. We still go there all the time, but usually for supper. When my grandpa was alive, I remember him taking me and my cousin into town after morning chores to have breakfast. I remember even more vividly the camaraderie between the farmers and ranchers who did the same, the conversations about last nights storm, commodity markets, the latest politician to piss them all off, etc. It is a memory that solidifies the notion that there is nothing better in this country than small town America. The laughter and friendship, the advice and knowledge, and helping each other whenever it was needed. I am so happy that you get to keep your version of that going with Storla Station. I would bet that a lot of viewers will support the co-op regardless of location. Let us know how and where to go, and we will likely help try to keep the lights on with you. P.S. Cole, the Dakota Tom's egg and sausage croissants look delicious. I recommend keeping those in stock!
So glad you all are going to be OK. One less worry off my mind for sure. Now I can divide that worry up amongst the other folks I watch on YT who haven’t had rain. Isn’t that how it works? Anyway, prayers going up for all of you and for the success of the new co-op. Your investment will help the rural community for miles around. I love the idea that you farmers took the bull by the horns and started the store. Notice that? Bull by the horns! I crack myself up! Thanks for sharing hay baling. I only wish I was there to smell the beautiful grass.
Hay Festus, when I was a young-in, I worked on a dairy farm. During hay season, they would bale the hay and we would follow the bailer and stack them in threes in the field. After a few dry days we would go out and pick them up on a trailer. Then on to an elevator to take them up in the hay barn. To see you fellers bail hay like this is pure joy, its amazing.
I think it's a great thing that you're doing with your new venture.!🥰! I really hope that all your farmer viewers, wherever they are in the country, start to use your services however big or small their order may be.!🤞! I can relate and appreciate what you're doing with the store. My Great Grandfather opened the Tronnes Hotel in Neilsville, MN back in the early 1900's. Then my Grandfather and Grandmother operated it until the 50's I believe when they built a building adjacent to the hotel and opened the Tronnes Cafe. My father tells me his dad told him to join the military or he'd be stuck working there his whole life so the Cafe ultimately closed. The building is still there and had been owned and operated by several people since as the local tavern. I was fortunate enough to visit it a few years ago with my father and brother and stand proudly where my Grandfather did the day he opened his Cafe. It was a great day for us. I wish you great success with the store as I understand how important they are for small towns. Unrelated but interesting video my father shared with me today about 5 acres of a farmers field that sunk. They called in a slump.. Ever have such an event happen near you or even heard if this natural phenomenon in this video ( th-cam.com/video/d-woq4D_P4g/w-d-xo.html ) ?
I think that bale gathering system should be staying around. You guys would miss it terribly if you let it go back. Cole, will be amazing 10 years from now to have side by side drone footage of today's equipment and whatever tomorrow's equipment will look and work like. The drone footage of your dad and uncle will be priceless as you get older. Treasure and preserve it.

Hope the store works out great for you and all the farmers. You guys know how to do it right, helping others!! Great drone shots, love that row of bales from up high.👍🇺🇸
Brian you are absolutely adorable and I mean that in the kindest most innocent way! I’d be thrilled to have you as a brother! I’m one of those strange women who was always attracted to men that could make me laugh and smile. That wasn’t just a perk it was always mandatory. Right now my precious husband is not making me laugh at all. We have a 65 yr old Red Oak in the backyard that was starting to shade out our big pines and killed out the grass due to no sun under the canopy. Before he retired last October if there was a big yard project I was concerned about him doing I’d wait till his out of town days and get estimates, pick one and schedule the job when he was gone on a day trip. He might come home to find it done and get his chest all bowed out but his safety is my concern and he has back issues. Since retirement I can’t be sneaky like usual. He wanted those big branches cut to get some shade grass down. I had this sick feeling in my stomach but he swore he’d only cut what the pole saw could reach. A small branch landed across our cable line so Mr know it all tried to hit it with the saw to knock it down. He got it and the cable too!! He turned to step down the ladder, lost his balance and bam! Down he went on his right side and hip. I heard something and went to check. He’s on the ground screaming in pain. He never yells much less screams in pain. Got our nephew who’s an anesthesiologist to check for me if there were any beds open anywhere. He just happened to be in surgery with a dear dear friend who’s an orthopedic surgeon, one of the best and he sent our nephew to help me get hubby in car and then flew ahead to get paperwork started. To make a too long story a little shorter he broke several ribs in right mid back AND broke the greater trochanter completely off. Leg is hanging on by muscle, tendons and ligaments! Hubby said that didn’t sound good! No joke. Got him to ER at 7pm last night, stayed all night with him due to having problems getting meds dialed it. Came to get a shower today and check on puppy dogs. Age 8 and 11. He came out of surgery tonight after 9pm and our Dr got a sitter to stay with him. We’ll buy breakfast and lunch for her tomorrow in addition to her salary for the next 3 days. Got him crackers and a Coke and he was awake before I left. I’ve already told him I’m planning to get him good when he’s well !!! He’s not able to get his Type A personality to to calm down. He told me this may have been his decision making factor this time! So sorry, I didn’t know I obviously really needed to vent to a kind ear and you guys were my refuge in the storm! ~Much love to all the Sonnes from West Texas!!! Keep us in your prayers please! 🙏🏻 Thank you!
Miss Cricket... Sorry to hear this horrible news. He will have a long road to recovery. I am similar. When I get something in my head it sticks! You both have been through so much agony and dispair over this happening and we will pray for a speedy and full recovery.
I actually gave a couple of hands for this one Cole. So thankful for the harvest. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Brian, your input in these videos is the best. Please and thank you. Not to sound disrespectful in any manner. You really explain everything so I can understand. I (edited) live in a city, Brian. Your input to these fantastic videos is really meaningful. Thank you so very much for your videos, Brian. It’s actually my favorite part of the videos. Thank you. We all deeply appreciate it. I know that I will never, nor will ever be a farmer. But I think that you way undervalue your input. I actually would absolutely love a Brian video. Cole could still edit it up just fine. Save safe y’all.
Nice dryland alfalfa and grass hay. Grew up with 2 Farmers Coops in the area, 1 10 miles one direction, other 15 miles other direction. Both had feed mills, farm suppiys. One had cheese factory and milk plant, ran milk can pickup routes, grocery store and clothing store, mechanic and big tire shop. Other had rail freight access for cattle shipping. Never went the the Big City, 25,000 just 25 miles away until I was at least 6 or 8.
Brian, I've said it before, and it's worth mentioning again... I truly wish you all the success in the world for your new venture. The nearest town to us is just 3 miles away, and it sounds like yours. I'll be 30 years old soon and I can even remember when the town was " semi- busy", but my parents and grandparents show me pictures and tell me stories of when EVERY storefront was filled and busy and the town was immaculate. They had the old multi level hardware store with the wooden floors and the basket that came down from upstairs for your money and change. They had 2 feed mills and multiple machinery dealerships. Now, there is just a Dairy Queen and several bars. If it wasn't for the railroad siding, nobody would show up there. I don't want to get all nostalgic, but I miss even what was there when I was a kid and listening to the old " round table" on Saturday mornings at the feed mill, especially the " inflated claims" on corn yields and the stories of the buck somebody got during deer season whose rack got bigger with each version of the story. I am sad my 2 boys will never experience that history. But, what you are doing is bringing some of that back to your community, and I applaud you and respect you so much. And, when you get your inventory stocked, I DEFINITELY would be honored to do business with you. My dad said the same thing, but then he had to criticize me for running over his toolbox. Anyway... Best of luck !
@@alexdrake9931 lol Alex I appreciate you watching and commenting each video. Most of your comments are comical but the ones i love the best is when you are serious and so kind. Your sons have a great dad!
@@briansonne814 Thank you Brian. Cole and his brothers are very blessed to have you as a father. I know I joke a lot about my dad, but I thank God everyday he is my dad. I'm sure Cole does the same regarding you as his dad. A LOT of men can be " fathers ", but you and my father are " dads." I mean that as a great compliment and I pray that I will be even half the " dad" that the 2 of you are.
..."it's boots and chaps, it's cowboy hats, it's spurs and latigo"....OMG...I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Southeast Montana native here...nothing more beautiful than those golden rolling plains...um, and cowboys..lol
That was a great video Cole. Not a bad idea giving your dad the camera once in a while....he told a great story from the heart about the store venture and how he and his friends didn't want that piece of the community to disappear. I hope because of your channel that business does come from everywhere just to buy from people with backbone and grit that will sell at an honest price to farmers because they are farmers. I can't wait to see where it goes..... good luck to you Brian.
Impressive video! Best of luck on the Co-op. Channels like yours are a great way to help the huge disconnect where food comes from. I encourage all my culinary students to watch. It would be great hear more about cattle sent for sale. Be well.
That is so kind of you! But also it is a wonderful way for you to get your students an idea of the source of the products they use to prepare those excellent meals!
I hope that your new venture goes well . It is good to see people picking up the peices and just getting on with it . These big outfits that buy up places and then rape the place and then close down because there is no money in it are awful . It's really rewarding to see guys getting together or on there own out there doing it . As you say these places are so much more than a store , they are the community.
It's been nice watching you Brian, Hospital is nice place for a couple of months . Why I'm saying this because I bet your good wife is a champ in her weight class. So know Im thinking of you in the best way.
Makes me wanna go to the feed store so I can smell some alfalfa!! Best smell ever…I miss it. Praying for the store. So sad all the small independents are disappearing
Sonne Farms, I love watching y’all, in today’s world with all the negativity going on, it’s nice to see a father & son, and uncle making a honest living. Keep it up, you give a whole lot of us hope for our future. And that’s all I have to say about that!
I like to see the interaction between you and your dad. It's so gratifying to see a family working together doing what they love. People like you are what made America great.
Love Garth Brooks! Second Best performer ive ever seen live! Awesome vids 👌 Thanks for all the hard work you and the family does. Good luck with the co-op.
I hope everyone is very supportive of you keeping the store open in town. Just a suggestion for the store have some type of farmers market with sweetcorn and vegetables out of the gardens. Brian I love your humor but you might get kicked out of the house for what you said about your wife lol. Your right about the Olympics as it isn't like it used to be, but they have some new events that are interesting to watch. They have target shooting in high school now. I only live 2 hours from you sure would like to meet you sometime. Only problem I have is that I have a plate and 7 screws in my ankle and they think I have loose screws and broken fragments in my ankle according to the CT scan Monday in Sioux falls SD. Love your videos guys keep them coming, I'm totally JD green man !
....."and you know why...because nothings runs like a deere"...that made my day!And you are 100% right of course!

BTW.... Are you going to be stocking new toolboxes at the store? Asking for a friend.
@@alexdrake9931 If it means that much to you it will come easy to you as well
@@briansonne814 Thank you !
Brain, that's the way. I'm sure your community appreciates your effect.
..."it's boots and chaps, it's cowboy hats, it's spurs and latigo"....OMG...I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
Loved the drone shots!!! Thanks for that. Hope you get the rain you need.
Many good wishes to you and your partners, Brian, for much success with the store. Looking forward to hearing about it from time to time.
Love the dog 🐕 she is so adorable
I enjoyed the video! I especially liked the segue between Cole and to Brian! Good work. It seems natural to talk to or about each other in that way.
Lovely video guys... thank you 🧡
Cole all you need now is a bale mover like the Sasdutch Kid and you want even have to get out of the tractor. Love your videos
Awesome news about the store opening. Best of luck!
The drone footage is always a favorite.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!!
👍💯🙂
Love watching father and son joking around as they work. Reminds me of time spent with my dad
Peace ✌ out !!! Love it your a true man's man!
Good luck with your Farm Store. Small business is the back bone of America.
Awesome vlog today. I wish you both all the success with your store along with your partners. God bless.
I like to see the interaction between you and your dad. It's so gratifying to see a family working together doing what they love. People like you are what made America great.
Hope the store becomes a go to for the area👍👍
Excellent, glad you got a little more hay. Hope the store goes well. God bless

You are so kind
...hay there,...lol.. have a good one. nice work, stay safe..
God has truly blessed your family. Never take anything for granted.
It’s cool to see all those bales in a row and nice drone shots cole keep up the good work
