I think House Stark as a whole, hell, the North in general needs a video. House Stark historically has some questionable decisions & honor the wrong things. Torhen Stark being mockingly called "The King Who Knelt". Yeah, because that didn't save y'all from being burned alive. Also, it's bad that Robb let Catelyn hang around the war camp but no one else said/did anything about it either. Why is there beef with the Wildlings? If the Night's Watch is so important why is it such a dump?
Also they eliminate House GreyStark for rebelling against them one time then let the notoriously backstabbing house of Bolton remain. I mean what the fuck is that about?
Yea people really misunderstand Twyin's relationship with Tyrion (So does Tyrion btw). Like Tywin is someone can appreciate Tyrion's cunning and rewards him for it like with Master of Coin & a wife, but dude Tyrion keeps on drinking and visiting Brothels ofc Twyin cant truly respect him. Overall being unbiased id give Twyin a 10/10 Fathership Medal.
@@jessjess23brooks89 yk I saw your other comment about how much of a POS twyin was, and while I do agree, you gotta look at from a medieval view. GOT is a world about x3 as worse as the middle ages. Tywins war crimes led to his iron grip on his vassels while the Freys & Boltons betrayed Stark when they saw an opening. He did actually succeed in having a strong rule.
@@mysteryboxe9230 But Tywin's scorched Earth tactics destroyed his house. In book-verse, the Lannisters have five year tops before their line goes extinct. One of the oldest houses in the seven kingdoms, gone because of his choices. This is a direct correlation from his war crimes and poor parenting. Even in a brutal time period, you can only get away with killing babies, destroying cities, and disrespecting every law of God's and men for so long.
@@jessjess23brooks89 Does it? If anyone destroyed his house it'd be Cerseri,Joffery, Little Fingers scheming and Varys scheming. Twyin isnt just Scorched Earth tactics, hes intelligent too. Twyin remarks how stupid letting Barristen go was, and it was Varys subtle scheming that made Joffery let him go. Only so much you can do when so many ppl are plotting on your houses downfall tbh.
I'd give Ned a B ranking overall. He's a great father to the boys, especially to Robb. A little hard on Rickon and a bit reckless with letting Bran climb all over the castle. I'd say the girls are a weak spot for him though, as he's far too lenient with Arya and leaves Sansa in la la land. Ultimately Ned's a good father but he makes plenty of mistakes and is far too trusting of others with the safety of his children.
@@seto_kaiba_ Ned enables behavior which is not appropriate for a highborn lady and lets his daughter run wild most of the time. Unsupervised. Which is incredibly dangerous and frankly, irresponsible parenting. Additionally, Arya commonly being in a state to be mistaken for an unwashed stable boy reflects poorly on her parents and her family name. Her zero to one hundred temper is also a big problem. If she were a boy I think the fandom would call her toxic instead of giving her violent outbursts a pass. Ultimately she's an exceptionally privileged nine year old who needs to be taught she can't just hit and back talk anyone she wants. Ned does a pretty poor job of rectifying this behavior. He even rewards Arya by arranging private "dancing lessons" for her after she's already attacked the crown prince (yes, she made the incident with the butcher's boy 100% worse by striking out in anger the way she did) and tackled her sister to the ground and beat her in front of everyone. Most father's in asoiaf would've sent their daughter home in shame after an incident like this. Ned, in my opinion, is too soft when it comes to Arya. Simply because she reminds him of his sister.
@@MarieCurtis92spot on, especially the "Arya would be considered toxic if she was male" 100% true, and Ned definitely gives her a pass because she reminds him of Lyanna.
@@MarieCurtis92 No the fandom would not call her toxic if she were a boy and if they did, I'd be the first one to tell them off. Arya was defending a friend from Joffrey. The King didn't punish her because he knew what his son was like and Ned was starting to learn to. He isn't going to be that hard on her for upholding his values. Ned values honor and bravery. Why would he be mad at her for this? Its dangerous sure but its also very typical for how Ned (and a lot of Northmen to be honest) would behave.
The criticism direct here against Ned Stark are either constructins (who says that he lets his children watch the execution every time?) or have nothing to do with his parenting skills. Bran does what countless of boys do, not because his father is so big on honour.
Robert Baratheon didn't have TIME to be a proper father!? He had time to whore, drink, overeat, and hunt! I believe he had the time to invest in his kids' lives (whom I believe he truly thought were his).
Isnt the night king a great dad ? He wants to make everyone his child, he cares for crasters foster kids and makes them generals. Just great wholesome stuff
If you don’t count the show, Stannis is an S tier dad. She gets greyscale and he says no way, whatever it takes to heal her. She’s best friends with the fool that’s a constant reminder of his parents’sl deaths and he lets them hang out because it makes her happy. And if I remember correctly, he specifically claims her as his heir and insists that his crown will go to her. That’s a legacy, Stannis is a Chad dad in the books
I dont know about mr Stark, every good father has a soft spot for his daughter and spoils her, look at Arya he does not like that she wants to be a warrior and still lets her do it. You guys are talking like he should have been more strict and be like "this is what s gonna happen" would any of us be happy with a father that crushes your dream and forces you to be a stereotypical character if you wouldn t want to be one? Also i kind of get Jon Snow treatment, bastards in westeros are frowned upon. Jon is not a bastard and he does not want to expose his identity plus i think he would have to sleep on a couch a few more times if he treated him equally to Robb thanks to Catts jelausy. Wolwes pups alright they are not dogs, but i think almost every single animal can be domesticated if you get it as a baby and nurture it among humans etc.. Of course they still have the nature of that animal but they are not killing anyone on sight without a reason. Bran whatever he could strictly forbidden that type of ativity i guess. He is more fair and loving to his children than any other of those guys, tries to teach them good morals (ofc in westeros those are often to your detriment) and would die for any of them.
this would have been perfect for next week... you know... Father's Day weekend I'm just bustin' chops. You both are awesome. I could listen to you talk about GoT and HotD all day
I honestly wish Tywin would’ve been the one to take the Throne. I really think the North could come up with a compromise to stay independent, but still cater to the Kingdoms. He may not have been the best person morally, but he was a damn smart guy.
I am humbly requesting a pro-Joffrey video. Rewatching Im noticing how much I enjoy his interactions with Cersei and Margarey. Mogging his mother, nerding out over crossbows and dragons. He's genuinely infatuated with Margarey but not simping either. Obviously in the books hes much more good looking and charismatic as well. Another point in defense of Joffrey, hes a 13 year old incest child with a sadistic, spoiling mother and both of his fathers are absentee psychopaths obsessed with violence and sex. (Yes, we love Bobby B, but he's not the best role model, even considering his ranking on this list).
Also we know Joffrey could have been corrected by a stern present father because every time Tyrion or Tywin harshly chastised him he actually took it and (at least temporarily) altered his behavior. He almost seemed to have a certain respect for Tyrion as his elder before Tywin showed up and pushed Tyrion down the totem pole.
Yeah Robert was not a good father, king, or role model. He slapped an eight year old Joffrey so hard he lost teeth because of the cat thing, but clearly he was emulating Robert's hunting and wanted to please and impress his father. And even though Myrcella and Tommen aren't like Joffrey they aren't treated well so people can't even make the excuse that he treats Joffrey bd because of his actions.
@@fightingmedialounge519 if he didnt respect Tyrion he would have told the Hound to kill him for striking the King, he threatened his own mother for doing the same. Fear compliance isnt ideal, but with some people, especially dangerous young men, its the only thing that works.
@@aceambling7685 no, because Tyrion is there because of tywin who joffrey fears(he also partially fears Tyrion). He actually does threaten Tyrion several times. It actually doesn't because the minute the people they fear are gone, they go back to their horrible selfs.

Tywin definitely hated Tyrion lol. Literally seconds after Jaime said to spare Tyrion life and have him taken off the Kings guard to be his heir in casterly rock, Tywin accepted to replace Tyrion with Jamie And Ramsey is only a psychopath because of how his dad raised him
Mace Tyrell and the Tyrells in general are probably the best family in the books. Just from reading the books (the show kinda made him a dumb loveable uncle who could cook a good bbq) I think he is a really good political thinker. Every move he made would benefit his family, to grant further power to his kids and family. He even has good friendships with his powerful vassals which the other great houses seem unable to do. I think he is going to try to marry his daughter to young Giff (Aegon) when Tommen eventually dies from poising from the sand snakes.
I wouldn't say, that Walder is such a good dad because he doesn't real, seas his children as persons, but more as bargaining Tools. He cared for his children, but not because they were his children
Roose doesn't legitimize Ramsey for Ramsey's sake lol he does it so the Bolton line doesn't die with himself. He's known basically since Ramsey was a young boy that he was a fuckin psychopath too. He said as much. He tried to teach him how to be a secret psychopath so as not to get his people to turn on him, but Ramsey wouldn't listen, and Roose basically said "fuck it. I gave it the bare minimum. I guess there's nothing I can do" lmao he's a terrible father. He KNOWS that Ramsey killed his LEGITIMATE son! And he's basically cool with it!!

I'm predicting Roose Bolton wins Best Father over the other guys in the thumbnail. Edit: Forgot about their devotion to Walder Frey. In Roose's defense, yeah, having your one living kid turn out to be a serial grapist murderer is generally not seen as being the result of good parenting. However, when one considers House Bolton's long history sadistic shenanigans, the argument could be made that Roose really helped Ramsay to get in touch with his heritage. Also, are we really 100% sure that Ramsay is a serial grapist murderer? Seems to me that the reports of his malfeasances are learned mostly second-hand. The one POV character in a position to confirm these dastardly deeds has clearly had a mental breakdown and may be suffering PTSD induced hallucinations.

Keep up the good work! 🙂
Someone needs to animate that intro conversation with the pull out noise holy shit
the best take in this video was putting the father at s tier. without the seven there would be no other fathers in westeros 🙏🙏
Roose could have been such a good father to his Frey son. Shame he was poisoned by his enemies
Tywin in Sopranos-Tier warms my dumb little heart
Don't ruin this for us
Yea people really misunderstand Twyin's relationship with Tyrion (So does Tyrion btw).
It's so obvious, but no one sees it

My father taught me how to drain the poison out of a snake too. 10/10
Based and DLDO pilled
Randall would have been S tier if he hadn’t held Dickson’s hand when they died
It's Ned, obviously
I'd give Ned a B ranking overall.
He's a great father to the boys, especially to Robb. A little hard on Rickon and a bit reckless with letting Bran climb all over the castle. I'd say the girls are a weak spot for him though, as he's far too lenient with Arya and leaves Sansa in la la land.
Ultimately Ned's a good father but he makes plenty of mistakes and is far too trusting of others with the safety of his children.
How is he too lenient with Arya?
@@aceambling7685 Gotta love double standards. 😂
I could listen to your two talk about our boy Robert Baratheon all day.
the way you rationalized tywin 😂 are either of you lawyers ??!?!?! 😅
You know Ramsey is a different kind of bastard if even the Hilt Honchos can't defend him 😂
I love how stanis tells his wife not to strike his daughter but then burns her Alive.. lol smh
Totally agree on Bobby B. Only "bad" thing he did was beating that little shit Joffrey whenever he desrved it, he even went light on him.
The satire is real in this
Literally not satire
How is this satire truer words have never been speaker before.
@@AerysIIFirstofhisname I think your name tells me all I need to know on your opinion
Well we all know Craster is the best father. SPEAKING OF WHICH CRASTER VIDEO WHEN?!?!?!!?
Hmmm sorry lads I had to skip to see where you put Tywin if Ned is C tier😅 strange takes to say the least
Where do you put those two?
Jorah the andal being your son automatic F
Roose Bolton, father of the year...duh
Roose did nothing wrong
@@OurHiltsHurt Except for siring Ramsay.
Cap. He failed to protect his trueborn son from Ramsey.
He is more fair and loving to his children than any other of those guys, tries to teach them good morals (ofc in westeros those are often to your detriment) and would die for any of them.
this would have been perfect for next week...
you know... Father's Day weekend
I'm just bustin' chops. You both are awesome. I could listen to you talk about GoT and HotD all day
We had a recording issue and had to release this video a week earlier lol
@@OurHiltsHurt **insert the "doing math in my head" meme here**
I honestly wish Tywin would’ve been the one to take the Throne.
@@aceambling7685 he most definitely did not respect Tyrion at all, and temporarily correcting his behavior out of fear isn't a good thing.
The main reason i watch you guys is cuz of your interesting POVs
I don’t believe Stan 100% believed the sacrificing would save everyone and there is no telling if she wasn’t sacrificed than the world would end. So, I think Stan deserved to die after “sacrificing” his child.
Mace always he is THE GOAT. Dont listen to the other peasents. I mean did you hear his voice. Living legend !!!
Do mothers next that’s a banger
Jon Arryn make Robert king , and ruled the kingdom for him ,he should be number 1
His sweet Robin hurts his rankings
Fathers are more vital than mothers too
@@OurHiltsHurtno Sweetrobin slander shall be tolerated. Breast milk maxxing is based, I foresee a future where man can go to Cafe staffed by new mothers and have freshly squeezed colostrum in his coffee. Robin is sickly, but this is the price he pays for his powerful psychic abilities, enhanced by the weirwood throne. Many men of great will and intellect paid for their gifts with illness of body and mind. We see this clearly with Robin's cousin Bran, who paid for his abilities with the use of his legs.

The Great Walder Frey
Tywin definitely hated Tyrion lol. Literally seconds after Jaime said to spare Tyrion life and have him taken off the Kings guard to be his heir in casterly rock, Tywin accepted to replace Tyrion with Jamie
And Ramsey is only a psychopath because of how his dad raised him
Madness has overtaken our city!!!!!
Caitlin is Sansa’s fault not Ned.
Ned is head of the household, he is responsible.
I'm literally so happy to see this video (finally ik that common sense isn't dead!!!!)
Hardest choices requires the strongest wil
Stannis: Burns his daughter alive
Roose Bolton: His son speaks for hisself
Yeah, definitely a C tier dad alongside Ned Stark 😂
Mace Tyrell and the Tyrells in general are probably the best family in the books. Just from reading the books (the show kinda made him a dumb loveable uncle who could cook a good bbq) I think he is a really good political thinker. Every move he made would benefit his family, to grant further power to his kids and family. He even has good friendships with his powerful vassals which the other great houses seem unable to do. I think he is going to try to marry his daughter to young Giff (Aegon) when Tommen eventually dies from poising from the sand snakes.
Tywin: The stern stepdad Westeros needed during the reigns of Ayres II Targaryen and Ayres III Joffrey.
I wouldn't say, that Walder is such a good dad because he doesn't real, seas his children as persons, but more as bargaining Tools. He cared for his children, but not because they were his children
😂😂 don't take the channel seriously.
S tier dad tries to sentence his son to death for a murder he didnt commit?
Idk if Walder is a good father but he’s gotta have experience the most.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm sure it's a banger!! BTW, where tf is our Craster video???
Nah placing tarley at A is the most wild shit ive ever seen. From parenthood being the point of living to celebrating tarley’s treatment of sam, this vid is filllllled with so many redflags
My fathers in thrones good day to you
I'm predicting Roose Bolton wins Best Father over the other guys in the thumbnail.
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things also could you make a video about the second dance of the dragon which may happen in winds of winter
I disagree with randell tarly bc Sam while not a good combat dude at all. Hell hes a self proclaimed coward, BUT hes smart, that could have been cultivated to be the best support for his brother. His brother is a hothead, seriously dragon fire, And randell tarly let him?? Another negative against him.
If its not stannis then you failed
By the thumbnail...I thought....you meant a different kind of Daddy lol
I was like " Tywin...is...so daddy? Hmm.." bahaha
Walder Frey was still pumping out heirs
Randy tarley is like Red Forman from that 70s show
Is this channel satire? I'm new here. I thought maybe they have just extremely different opinions than me until they got to Craster. There's no way a real person can actually have that opinion, right?
I'm like 90% sure this is satire, but the fact I'm not completely sure just makes the videos even funnier
Well, based on this video. I hope you aren't or ever will be fathers 😂👌
Craster.

30:00 Bro you guys are horrible. I feel so bad for laughing so hard!!🤣🤣🤣
Don't worry. This is a safe space for it.
Jaime is solid B tier.
How Ned wasn't good father, he literally do anything for his children's lives imo
Ned easily one of the best father in GOT
Robb, Jon, and Bran were fantastic, great leaders when they needed to be. Until Bran became a weirdo in the later seasons. Arya and Sansa were not the best raised, arya was pretty much not raised at all. Rickon was just a random little kid.
