- Not sure if anyone has done this with all characters including DLC but here is my ranking of strongest final smashes based on horizontal knockback

We don’t need knockback. We have a delete button. Base damage is 70%. Zelda’s FS does more damage if the opponent is further away.

Best way to rank final smashes in my opinion would be to grade them in terms of knockback, damage, range, versatility, etc.

Maybe make a sequel that ranks them on how they can actually be used? Like Zelda has an easy s teir, jump off stage and put them in the blast zone, it kills at 0

I feel bad for peach and daisy mains which got there ultimates ranked the worse because they spent kb or damage based and are meant to give you free hits which I could see as good

Peach's and Daisy's Final Smash is more meant to buy you some time to heal up whilst you're opponent sleeps away.
Actually most uses of peach final smash is to knock enemy back and then use the final smash if they are about to recover back to stage and just make them sleep mid air and instakill them, then heal up.
Alternate title: Everyone beats the crap out of Mario, including Mario himself.

I definitely wouldn’t put Peaches FS in F tier…you can push them to the side and get a fully charged smash half the time and recover up to 75%…

You should do a tier list based on the "best" smash ultimates.
It should look at usability, how easily to dodge they are, damage, knockback, special conditions and how easy to use they are.
Alpharad made a tierlist on that very subject when Ultimate first came out. Would be outdated after dlc tho

I'm not entirely sure if it's "better" but with G&W's final smash you can hit him with the top of the head instead of grabbing him and I've carried people off that way sometimes. Also with ice climbers you literally just have to hold right.
Giga Chad Marth and Lucina sure have been practicing their Final Smash, so that it can KO people in One-Hit.
If we are talking horizontally knock back, shouldn’t we take sephiroth launch status affect rather than any of the others since launch is the one with the greatest knock back of all the status affects?
Why only count one direction of horizontal knockback? Knockback is knock regardless of if they're going left or right

We can all agree that sephirophs final smash looks insane
Some comments on missing things/improvements:
-Mario did not receive the complete damage from Olimar's Final Smash (the munching part). I don't think this could be fixed in this stage though. Maybe starting with the additional damage it would deal?
-For Ken's 'fire' Final smash you could have done it from the other side
-I think you should have added Shulk's Final Smash using a Monado Art as a bonus
-For Ness, and Lucario (maybe some others)? You could have started with Mario on 5 or 10 and measure from there to make sure the knockback is on the 'correct' side.
-Missing the Mii Fighters FS
-Apply Zelda's FS with Mario far away so additional damage is done while being absorbed
-You should have added the other effects of Sephirot's FS. For example, stunned effect would be 0 knockback, I dont know if the rest have a change on knockback
-Add the knockback value (regardless if negative) even on inconsistent ones to see the max value you got on your trials as it is still different than 0
- You can improve Lucas knockback, but it would require several trials
You forgetting 50% of the comments saying this shouldn't be based on knockback.
This video would have been perfectly fine if this wasn't a tier list and the title was which final smashes launch the farthest.
Imagine being sephiroth a final boss which smash is literally world breaker and being weaker than Duo Duck Hunt wich is basically average day on America
For ness you can choose in what direction the stars will fall you can easily hit multiple time the ennemy and push it back more than the ulti of lucas for example
you should do a vertical knockback list as well

Peach/Daisy being the worst already shows a problem with this video. A free heal, and a chance to instakill anyone in midair (as they fall to their deaths) and/or a free fully-charged-smash punish? That's material for the strongest Final Smash in the entire game.
And Zelda's being D tier when it executes at a certain percent and is incredibly hard to escape for 95% of the cast? Criminal.

Not to mention the initial eye-catching boom is "Strongest Final Smash", only to ding in the asterisk of non-di knockback at 0% for a fraction of the time as the first frame. Smells a little "trying to clickbait", which I certainly wouldn't expect from this channel...
And it doesn't change that the examination of one piece without consideration of the rest of the Final Smashes is a noteworthy critique, even if they were more upfront about it without needing to check the description for an otherwise straightforward video. I wonder how a "Back-Throw Tierlist" would look if done at 0% with no modifiers, rather than examining at what point Back-throw would kill, for example.
I'm going to go watch an actual good tier list.
Terry's final smash is really strong since you can true combo into it for some insane damage and possibly a kill(at 0)
For people unclear of why some are not rated as they want it is depended on knockback caused not other factors such as combos percent and whatnot

Just realized this is based on Horizonal Knockback so not only does this place Instant KO final smashes in low tier automatically but also places final smashes that kill at the top lower too. This tier list is even worse than I thought.

We do not rank final smashes by units, we rank final smashes based about how easy it's to capture enemies, total damage and how easy it is to get a KO, that's the perfect formula.

Ness's final smash CAN be controlled, just not as loosely as Luca's

Peach has 30-to-death combos, can simply let you fall to your death if you get caught mid air or simply kill you with a smash attack/kill confirm if you’re above 60%

Tbh u did this wrong, alot of ultimates aren't based off of kb and are good bc of high damage (ridley is F despite having one of the highest damages ingame) or peach where it's really a strat to knock people off while there stuck healing yet there somehow the worse ultima despite usually meaning 100% Ko

Zelda's "vacuum" is fucking BROKEN and then you're guaranteed a stock if you're above 100%
HECK if you're off stage and chase you can still die at fucking 0% so long as you close enough to the blastzone
