Oasis have a massive back catalogue of amazing songs. Noel is a fantastic songwriter. If you go on an Oasis journey you will not be disappointed. Oasis have never made a bad song. John Lennon was a big hero and inspiration for Liam and Noel. I look forward to your future Oasis reactions.

Thanks for the reaction!! 🙌 The band didn’t really split up over a big argument it was more like a lot of little arguments, some might say both of the brothers have kind of a argumentative attitude or big ego and the drugs / drinking etc didn’t really help 😂 it got so bad that they didn’t even like each other. That’s why this reunion is such a big thing because they haven’t even been brothers to each other for 15 years, Noel didn’t even attend Liams wedding. As far as creative differences go the wasn’t much of a problem Noel wrote most (pretty much all) of the songs whilst Liam sang most of the songs.

It was a defining moment of 1994. Kurt Cobain died in April 1994 and with it grunge music. Oasis proclaimed they'd live forever soon after and brought about 'Britpop'.

If you want a really good kind of back story to Oasis then you should watch the documentary ‘Supersonic’ (named after their debut single). It doesn’t cover their whole career, but from their beginnings up to the historic Knebworth gigs in 96. It’s well worth a watch.
Shock of the Lightning, Morning Glory, or Alcohol and Cigarettes are all good ones

Stop Crying Your Heart Out is one of the best song from their later albums.
Liam is the lead vocalist of Oasis and Noel is the lead guitarist, backing vocalist and more importantly, the reason Oasis songs exist, he is the songwriter of Oasis. On a select few songs Noel takes on the role of lead vocalist ('Don't Look Back in Anger' being a prime example). You can expect to hear Liams iconic lead vocals on most Oasis songs but it's worth seeking out the select few lead by Noel. The song 'Acquiesce' is an Oasis fan favourite and it has a nice blend of both of the Gallagher vocals.
cast no shadow is a great pick, dedicated to richard ashcroft the singer/songwriter of the verve- you may know the famous song bittersweet symphony or lucky man
Noel (pronounced Noll, like “roll”) is a phenomenal guitarist

Some awesome Oasis tunes to check out: "Rock 'n' Roll Star", "Cigarettes & Alcohol", "Stand By Me" and "Don't Go Away". 2 first are uptempo, 2 last great ballads.
Liam was the frontman, Noel was the songwriter for 95% of the songs, lead guitarist, main leader really. A few songs throughout their time Noel would be the main singer of certain songs but very few, some very popular ones like Don't Look Back In Anger & The Masterplan. Overall Noel would usually sing live acoustics & Demo's especially after the 1st albums, Liam would sing on the main albums. Ironically its also Frances Cobain (Kurts daughter) favorite song. The Live Forever demo is also worth a listen.

Noel (pronounced 'nole' 😁) Gallagher wrote all the Oasis songs on their first 4 records and his brother Liam Gallagher was the singer... However, the brothers would always fight and by the 2nd Oasis record in 1995, Noel decided that he would sing lead if Liam proved difficult ... & that was how he sang lead on "Don't look back in anger"... In 1996, Oasis were on tour and Liam was either not showing up or not singing optimally... so, Noel would take over singing lead if Liam walked off. Noel sang lead on lesser-known Oasis songs like 'Talk tonight' ... 'Magic pie'... 'Mucky fingers'... 'Sad song'... The brothers shared vocals on one of Oasis' biggest hits - 'Acquiesce'.
Some of the rocking Oasis songs include - 'Supersonic' ... 'Morning glory' ... 'Roll with it' ... 'Columbia' ... "D'you what I mean"... 'Rock n roll star' 🔥🔥🤘🤘
After Oasis played 2 massive shows in 1996 at Knebworth, England... the band signed on to do an MTV 'Unplugged' set... During rehearsals, Liam showed up drunk and wrecked and the decision was made just before filming to perform the set without him... Noel was upset and had to sing the entire Oasis set while Liam sat in the balcony smoking and drinking (and heckling his brother!) Noel was just not as gifted as Liam vocally... and Liam had a better stage presence, so to have him missing in action was not helping Oasis on tour in the US.
Liam made up for the Oasis 'Unplugged' disaster decades later in 2019 performing w/ his solo band on MTV' Unplugged' and delivered a stellar performance.
After the dissolution of the original Oasis in 1999 (guitarist Bonehead Arthurs and bassist Guigsy McGuigan quit the band)... Noel began to sing lead on more Oasis singles, such as - 'Sunday morning call'... 'Little by little' ... 'The importance of being idle'... etc.
One of the worst Oasis gigs was in 2000 at Wembley stadium... Liam was drunk after his first wife Patsy Kensit left him and he was a disaster onstage... For his part, Liam later apologized and resolved never to drink before gigs again...
Of course, after Oasis broke up in 2009, Noel Gallagher went solo w/ his band The High Flying Birds in 2011, where he sang lead on every song... Liam Gallagher and the rest of Oasis formed the band Beady Eye, but they only lasted 2 albums and broke up in 2014.
Obviously, Liam Gallagher has had the bigger solo career because Oasis fans want to hear the hits sung by Liam, rather than Noel... By 2022, Liam was drawing 3 times more fans to his solo concerts than Noel (But Noel would also be taking royalties for the Oasis songs that Liam would sing...) and Liam also sold out 2 gigs at Knebworth, where Oasis played in 1996.

Slide away best raw performance
There are plenty of slow/emotional performances of this song aswell which suits it massively because of the superb lyrics - MTV 1994 or Noel performing it in 2022-2024 for example. But the rock live version is just insane!

Liam, to me, seems brutally honest and doesn't care about offending and says what he's thinking, and Noel always seemed more sarcastic to me

You are really lucky my beautiful Nikki, , I dream of going back to 1995 and rediscovering Oasis for the first time again......before them I was very focused on Grunge and Punk Rock but when I discovered Oasis I forgot about the other groups , Noel Gallagher is a genius songwriter and Liam is one of the greatest leadsinger EVER.......... It's a shame that the problems between the two brothers have caused a lot of harm to the band
