To the FNG in the video, good job! When you get to your first ship, make sure you sign up for "Mail Buoy Watch" right away! You want to get your Buoy Watch quals done right away! You might also be required to do maintenance in your assigned space, always have a bucket of I-D-10-T Grease on hand it will make your life easier, when you are assigned to do your maintenance!

The asvab is really easy..don't worry too much about getting a highhigh score. On average, I've heard people get from 50-60ish scores and that opens quiet a few doors for you jobwise..like corpsman, MA, and of such. What you should worry about though is MEPS lol but just go for it, don't let fear stop you. And if you don't get in? You can at least say you tried. Everyone I've met so far say they're all nervous, so you're not the only one, just take a leap and go for it :)

Divisional jobs you do not want: Any Yeoman RCPO MA Starboard side watch Laundry PO Weapons PO Divisional Jobs you might want: Mail PO Religious PO (that was me) head crew (if you are clean) Tips: Watch what you eat, don't go confident that you're in bootcamp and that you'll loose weight...Know your general orders, rank and rates and chain of command. Be cooperative always and don't fall into the ''I hate my division'' mode. remember its all a mindgame

Your braces will have to be removed prior to entering boot camp. If your mouth does not have room for your wisdom teeth or your wisdom teeth are not growing correctly, they will be removed.

@kg062007 lol no. Getting "beat" or "fucked up" means ur getting "IT'd". Intense Training. A shit ton of excercises for a long time lol. They make u do that since they CANT hit u. Its all to build discipline tho, and to help u work together.

I say theres no harm in talking to a recruiter now, u dont have to sign anything. Their job is to inform u...u dont have to commit to anything just to ask them a few questions lol

SMC (SW) Kerker, HT1 (SW) Comstock, and SM2 (SW) Bursnall. Back then, we had Service Week which was Week where we'd work all over the base RDCs would call us "Service Week". Guess they stopped doing that a few years ago LOL
I ship March 12 and your videos have helped me so much. I am so ready to leave. My recruiter told me not to go on yoututbe looking for answers but I am so anxious. I have been waiting to leave for 7 months and the closer it gets the more prepared I am. I know my information and I am prepared for the physical part. Hopefully I get nice rdc's but if I dont thats fine. Thanx for your videos. They have motivated me soooo much!!!!!
Hi! You dont HAVE to know how to swim to GET to basic, however will have to learn in order to graduate! You'll have until 6-5 day of training to pass ur swim qual before they asmo (set u back) in training...itd be good to take lessons now bc with all the stress thatd be 1 less thing u have 2 worry about..good luck!
idk if i answered u on this but not much bc whatever u accumulate ull have to carry lol. I mailed sum stuff home so i wouldnt have 2 lug it on the plane..i still had 2 backpacks, a garment bag, laptop bag, and big ass seabag to carry lol
ull get plenty of practice there lol. But do as many as u can..take a break..couple mins..then go back and do that # plus one...do that daily n ull get ur count up. when u go down ur arm must make a 90 degree angle..
I think regardless of ur sex, race, etc if you allow ppl to disrespect u, they will. But with that being said, no. I haven't been treated badly bc i'm a woman.

I went to boot camp over 20 years ago "Great Mistakes" supposed to go to Orlando, Florida but they changed it last minute before shipping me out at jax MEPS. Started out with 116 dudes and less than 46 graduated but more than half of them didn't pass the final PT but they let them "Pass and Review." Most of these guys will not finish their obligated enlistment because they will get kicked out for drugs, ua, dumb stuff.
im 19 lol i requested more information but nobody has called me yet . i wonder what the hold up is . one thing for sure is that the air national guard is on point but I'm trying to be a sailor hooyahh!!

Your videos are the best. I am going to MEPS tomorrow and will be doing the ASVAB and physical.. I'm pretty nervous.. Very encouraging videos.

it depends...sometimes u can slip thru the cracks...
U had to jump off a landing into a pool (indoor) then swim to the other end of the pool. And u have to float..
i was supposed to ship off in may but i got in trouble at meps and they delayed me til December lmao. this helps me out alot thanks.
