    Does anyone have the part number for the wiring harness that goes into the PCV connection on the inlet? One of my EBCS lines exploded and frayed those wires... TIA

    That inlet looks really good too, wish it was available when I was looking.

    I would imagine the Perrin and the other inlet hose you featured might be more useful if you are trying to make more power due to it being massive. This looks like a pretty solid oem replacement tho

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely a solid OEM replacement. The other inlet was nice but I’ve seen people have issues mounting the GrimmSpeed EBCS to it due to the shape. Still better than the stock one though in my opinion!

  • @MoJoNinjaGarage
    @MoJoNinjaGarage 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You also have to cut the bypass valve section on the bloc one too! I had to cut mine on the FP 3” turbo inlet.

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had no idea! Really glad I went this route then. Install was a breeze. On a second note, I did see how exposed the EBCS was due to the TBW skid plate so I did my best to cover it up 😅. Any water issues with your setup?

    At 13:11 that metal tab your referring to that comes in the kit… does it come in the turbo inlet kit from GS? or does it come in the EBCS kit? Sorry for the dumb question. I’m waiting on my inlet now for the last 4 months from GS. Just wondering what comes with the kit.

      @@ronfromportland I watched the video and it’s weird all of my reading on the Cobb access port read perfectly normal. So at this point I’m confused. I’m pretty sure it’s the way my intake connects to the inlet. My bpv as well I changed the line because I thought it came lose it didn’t fix it. I also checked for damage and found no damage I think I’m going to lift up the car tomorrow morning and see if the way it connects to the inlet changes anything.

      @@dantetovar2741 wait so is your car running rich? If so, that should show on the AccessPort. I would also double check the lines on the BPV, the lines that go up. Those tend to get popped off. The one other thing I’d check is the fitting that connects the turbo inlet to the BPV. Make sure this is seated perfectly. Let me know what you find!

    Woulda added this if it was out a month ago. Not looking to go back under just for that. Your inlet bolts were 10 mm? Mine were 12 and I was slightly worried when my buddy grabbed a couple 10 mm when reinstalling.
    Notice anything from adding that strut tower brace?

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a great addition for sure. I just doubled checked and they are 10mm. What year is your car? Maybe they had been updated?
      I didn’t notice too much of a difference tbh. I’ve wondered the same thing haha.

    • @aaronanderson5573
      @aaronanderson5573 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ronfromportland Mine is a 17. Videos said 12 and it was. Would be strange to step down to a 10, but it’s impeller side so it shouldn’t matter.
      Didn’t see any reason or info on strut brace, figured lca’s or rear swar would help more. Not sold on going to new coilovers. Stock seems stiff for daily driving. Maybe to adjust rebound “looser” for better comfort/control.

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking about the bolts on the inlet to the face of the turbo?
      Agree. I have Bilstein shocks and RCE Yellow springs with rear LCAs and they get the job done while being close to stock height.

    • @aaronanderson5573
      @aaronanderson5573 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ronfromportland Yes, the 2 that bolt the inlet to the turbo. Should only see vacuum instead of boost, so not as much stress.
      I scrape all the time. Took lip off and don’t want lower. Better comfort plus control would be nice. Stiffer isn’t always better. Group n tranny mount seems to have made ride more bouncy, though.🙁

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aaronanderson5573 weird! Mine are 10mm and the GS video also says 10 🤔.
      Yeah, the Group N mount with bushings changed A LOT of the car and made it harsher. It took a while for me to get used to the increased noises but I like it. Debating on a diff mount. Might be overkill.
