Good old blue light of death. That is definitely coming back. I bought one refurbished from GameStop that did the same thing. I ended up taking it apart and ACTUALLY fixing it myself.

First, before assuming GameStop put sandpaper on the glossy panel, check the model number on the bottom of the system. If it’s cuh-12xx, then it’s like that from the factory. If it’s cuh-10xx or cuh-11xx, then it has been sanded.
You can see the scratches it's clearly been sanded

That does look like a faulty console man. Do the ultimate test, try a foreign disc And if doesn't work then send it back

Tbh I don’t know why u giving them shit wouldn’t you want a camo controller. But yes the PS4 does looks bad because of the sanding but remember Sony got rid of the glossy finish and put on the regular finish the camera isn’t picking it up very well
I was happy with the controller because it was in good condition. It's just funny because it's like they pull a random controller out of a box and stick it in with your console. Also this console is supposed to be glossy. The PS4 slim and pro are the ones that aren't glossy

I wouldn't buy anything from Game Stop. They are garbage. I bought a refurbished PS4 slim 1tb from Sony Direct and it was in perfect condition possibly never used. It only cost me 249 dollars and it comes with a one year warranty.
Yeah I don’t like when they sandpaper it either matte finish is always the way to go to avoid that issue why can’t they just leave it glossy
if i have a kid and buy them a glossy console in the future and its sanded down, we are going back to gamestop and getting our money back.
i only bought 2 things from them in the past 19 years. that was my Xbox elite 2 controller and my gamecube back when gc came out. i rather take my chance on ebay lol
Got mine just now so far nothing happens works fine like new installing the application of final fantasy 7 remake then I’m gonna test it out by playing the first part of the remake 😊

So when buying a gamestop "refurbished" console you are basically guaranteed.
1. They don't actually refurbish it
2. They don't give you a matching controller
3. And they sandpaper the hell out of it to where it doesn't even look refurbished and in fact looks worse than used.

here in my country, $300 will get you a new ps4 slim with 4 bundled games and 3 months free psn subscription, and gaming consoles are usually priced higher here than in other countries,

I got one of these for Christmas and there not that bad, but you need to watch out for something because I got a HDMI cable that had been chewed up and I got a gold ps4 controller with a very stiff and a lose stick. There not bad if your getting something to start out with

Maybe like a few years ago I wanted to upgrade from my original PS4 to a PS4 slim from GameStop and I never got around to do it and honestly I’m glad I didn’t because most of the videos I’ve seen on PS4 consuls or any Consol for that matter from game stop always don’t work or stop working so yeah luckily I didn’t upgrade from GameStop

What is the definition of refurbished? I thought it is faulty product which has been repaired by its manufacturer.
If there is scratches it should be used.
I've actually only had one bad console from gamestop which was a backwards compatible ps3 which was caked with dust I couldn't even use it. I take way better care of my consoles than that it was sad seeing all that dust.

@@jrob0021 i'm 99% sure it's for good, because of economic problems for like the past 5 years. It's honestly really sad, cuz it's the only real life store dedicated to games. People always knew what you wanted in there, and would always help you.

It’s alway hit or miss when you buy refurbished consoles from GameStop you get different controllers when people trade them in return it if there’s a better one

I got my xbox one console from gamestop abt 4 years ago for about 150 dollars it has worked fine with some problems along the way gamestop can be good but at the same time I also bought a ps4 and it never worked and I didnt buy the warranty so I wouldn't be able to give it back
