Hi John. Thanks for another helpful video on Cubase. : ) I could be wrong because I'm still learning, but can't you do the same thing using Kontakt as an Instrument Track and adding Midi Tracks to it with the corresponding midi channels assigned? Kind regards, Darren (Wales, UK)

Yes you are correct! You can still do that but things change with instrument tracks. You can’t separate the outputs like you can in rack instrument. Also, how the computer distributes the CPU load is different. I referenced the video I did (link in description) that shows a performance test between both track types.

I can't hang an effector on each individual track when working with a rack track, is there a feature or way to make this possible?

How do we remove the rack instrument track? Please that would be helpful ☺️

Click in the name of the rack instrument (in the right panel) and then in the drop down select No VST instrument. It isn't particularly intuitive although it does make it difficult to accidently delete a rack.

Hi. If I set, for example, in the KONTACT rack on all three pianos the midi channel on No1 then in the track on1 all three pianos will play at the same time?

In this example if you wanted to play all three at the same time, inside of Kontakt, you need to switch the MIDI Channel to Omni on all of the piano sounds.
Then on the track itself, it does not matter what MIDI Channel you use they will play all three pianos.
