I was personally having trouble acquiring the target with the dot until I tried putting the blue painters tape over the glass. It definitely made it easier to block out the sights and have made greater progress with that drill. Thanks for the tip, as I would have never thought of it. Appreciate your videos! Extremely helpful. Keep them coming Travis! Love the Sweatshirt too. .
The “more practice” attitude is a square range centric / one-way range centric attitude. If you are planing for a fight you bring the tools that make things easier and give you an advantage.
Ive been shooting uspsa for a few years now so finding the dot isn't a problem. Just pull the gun closer to your face to aquire, then push out and shoot. Worked for me. Thank you.
I don’t yet have a red dot on any of my pistols. But is it actually this difficult to find and learn to use? Because there are an awful lot of videos out there from people talking about “how to find your red dot”. Nobody ever has to put a video out saying “how to find your iron sights” 😂
I just bought a Taurus that came with one from the factory and I love it except for the "Houdini" part! I'm going to practice Kennedys' advice instead of pulling the pistol back in then out again to acquire it. Thanks Travis!
Personally I don't think it's that difficult of a transition. Put the dot on target and pull the trigger. Just need to practice trigger pull more than anything.

Like to hear this
The Holosun 507C with the ACSS Vulcan reticle is hands down the best red dot for those making the transition from irons...👍
15 minutes of dry fire a day is hands down the best way for those making the switch from irons.
@@jessegpresley 🤣 shave 10 minutes off that with the Vulcan reticle
This
And when shooting in awkward positions ACSS helps HUGE

What holster are you using in this video?
Travis, do you teach transition as well as IR carbine?
I angle my wrist down and the dot goes LOW ?
Thanks Travis, great tips.🔫🇺🇸...
Thanks for this video. Thinking about getting a red dot.
Thank you for your support.
I need you and Tyler Wombles to host an event in Maryland

Travis, your mic is clipping with about a 10 second delay
Thx
Woot woot 👍🏼🇺🇸🥃
I’d like to see a vs. video 1 guy w irons and another with a red dot shooting targets/scenarios that expose the strengths and weaknesses of both…
👍🏻
