Guys!!! I am SO happy I took the plunge with this next project I am sharing with you today. For years I have wanted to renovate my master bathroom. Unfortunately, we don't have the money to rip out perfectly good countertop and tile (as much as I would love to 🤪 ) so I basically gave up on having a new space for the time being. I felt locked in because of the tones and style, so I put it on the back burner and gave up on the idea. Fast forward to a couple months ago. My girls were begging me to paint their bathroom cabinets. They only have on double vanity, so I finally caved and agreed to do it for them. I went to Lowe's to purchase the same paint I used years ago in my laundry room. It has been discontinued since, but the nice man at Lowe's pointed me to a new paint by Valspar I had never heard of. He told me all about it, and I thought it was probably too good to be true. I didn't want to go anywhere else though, so I took his word for it and gave it a shot. I have painted cabinets several times, and to date this is THE BEST cabinet paint I have ever used. And guess what people... NO PRIMING! After seeing the transformation I was able to achieve in my girls' bathroom, I decided to give it a shot on my bathroom. Now, this was a much larger project than my girls. We have separate vanities and 16' ceilings in there. So, the entire project did take a few days but I am SO happy with the results!
The best cabinet paint I’ve ever used. I painted all my kitchen cabinets 2 years ago. Still like new. Nothing chips away, and it’s a full functioning kitchen . Cabinets get banged with use , but you wouldn’t know it . We now used on bookcases. Easy to use .
The timing on this video is perfect!!! I got a new to me piece of furniture yesterday that needs to be painted and I did not want to truck it out to the garage. So much easier this way! Thanks!
Perfect! So happy to help! Good luck with it!
Urban bronze is my favorite color! My kitchen has been this color for 5 years. It's beautiful!
Agree, Urbane Bronze is gorgeous!
What a difference a paint job can make you did a great job so glad I found your channel looking forward to your next showing have a great day and God bless
We have the exact same tile on our floors. The entire house has it, except for in the master. We bought the house 3yrs ago and really do not want to spend so much money on replacing it all. B/c of this, we revolve our color scheme & furniture around it. I love the contrast of this color with the tile. Will definitely get this color 👌🏻. Thank you for sharing
Yeah! Yes my girls bathroom is the same way... a room full of this tile! Let me know how yours turns out!
Yes ma'am, for sure!
Love hearing the end and seeing how real you are. Just like the rest of us!!!👍
Good thing you like it.
Amazing video as usual!! You girls are the BEST 🙌
Thanks Whitney!!
I have some of this paint from when we moved in but haven't painted the cabinets because I didn't want to sand and prime. This is great news. Hello new kitchen and bathroom cabinets this summer.
Yes! I needed a quick easy fix 😁 You will love it! It's awesome stuff!
I used it on my kitchen cabinets it worked great
How are they holding up now?
Thanks for the video. This is on my project list this year once my wife picks out the colors.
Awesome! Sometimes picking the color is the longest part for us ladies 😉 I bet she will love it when you get it done!
Omg I just used that paint for my kitchen cabinets too! It went on so perfect and i only used like half a gallon for my whole kitchen
That is awesome! It's crazy how far it goes I agree! I'm so glad you love it too!
@DM: How are your kitchen cabinets holding up?
Still doing good almost six months in. I think I may have gotten to inpatient and started putting things back together without completely letting the paint dry so in some places the paint was a little tacky and pealed but nothing I couldn’t re paint then let dry. That would be my only advice let it dry a few days. The quality and look is awesome and still glad I did it
Can you paint over wood cabinets that are stained or varnished?
I know gray is such a popular color, and I keep wondering for how long. But given the counters, mixed colors -I really like that non-primer paint -that comes in a super light brown. I think it would’ve been perfect for that area with the addition of the mirror and the lights above.
I wonder if people are trying other colors.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a deep, navy blue person either, I just want something that will be long lasting.
your project came our better than the sponsored ACE and Lowes videos. GJ
Hows the paint holding up?
What if some of my poly is coming off my kitchen cabinets would I still have to sand ?
Hey sweetie...... here's a question. On your ''blooper reel '' you mention the dining table that is too high, and the island that was too short? Will you teach us how we can repair errors? Please?
Can I do this over oil based paint?
Does this work on fake Wood?
How often do you do a new show…..?…..? I keep looking for you
Does it work on laminate cabinets?
I love it!! Would this paint work on previously chalk painted kitchen cabinets that have chipping and have wear? Annie Sloan did me wrong!
Def. No you need to prime prior to this. Even with her "painting" this will eventually fail
Would look good when fresh. You didn't sand or prime it, why would it not start to chip away after 6 months?
The title says "NO Sanding" -- and midway through, girlfriend was sanding her butt off.
Haha she said filled the cabinet hardware holes and had to sand the wood filler for a smooth finish.
Can you make a video putting lights in balloons
Is there a reason you don't use a paint sprayer? Is it just to much clean up?
Mess yes, and all my kids are in the house. Spraying would make me have to tape off nearly everything and the kids would be breathing in a lot more too! Hope this helps!
Nice
Hey Whitney! Has your sister quit the show? I haven’t seen her in a long time.
I’m still here! Just posted a set of lounge chairs for our last video!
@@shanty2chic Awesome! Thanks for responding 😊
nice video
I only wish she take off the outlet covers.
General Finishes paint will do the same thing and I believe is a better product.
Their website literally says you need to sand or the finish may fail... ?
I went out and bought this paint in alabaster and tried it on my bedroom furniture and don’t like it after three coats. Such a wasted day.
"How to Paint Cabinets with NO Sanding or Priming!" - use unobtainium paint.
Why not take an xtra 5 minutes and scuff the cabinets with a 3 M pad 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It’s not needed with this paint. Why spend the time when we spent the money for the upgraded paint that doesn’t require the typical prep work?
