Hate doesn't come from true Tool Army fans. Hate is from the lost souls. Most of us Tool fans have been waiting 30 years for everyone to catch up and they finally are. Keep up the reactions.
That is well put. And i know that in my heart, but sometimes it can get under your skin. I hope to get better at that. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Screw the haters! Keep doing you. Pause when you want. We have all heard this song hundreds of times. I do recommend a relisten to all the songs full through, after, off camera, later on. Keep going, bro! This song has a deep meaning rooted in chromosal composition and psychology. I take it as message of self growth.
Thanks for this! I will listen to it again, because ive been on this journey of self growth the past few years (it was needed) and this song spoke to me.
@@SaeedReacts. Absolutely!! I enjoy the pauses to hear your REACTION!!! Like my man above said, we've heard this song countless times!! There are so many parts to have a reaction to, that some may forget if they wait til the end of the song(esp. Tool songs!)

Pausing is all good my man, some of their music deserves reflection. As long as you rewind a little once you start it back nobody should complain. A big aspect of Tool's greatness is their transitions. Some reactors miss the impact of them by pausing in the middle of one and then jumping back in in the middle of it. Always cool to see someone discover and appreciate Tool ✊🏽

The best thing about Tool is you cant land on a bad song no matter what you pick. Also, whatever song you do pick might become your new favorite Tool song. You’re awesome, man! Welcome to your new obsession! I'll speak on behalf of all the true OG Tool fans; no hate, only love, enjoy your experience and ignore any detractors. Whatever you get out of each song IS correct, that's the way Tool wants you to experience them, as long as you're in the here-and-now. Even after 30+ years listening to them the only thing that truly changes is your perspective to their music, when I was much younger it solely about the thundering drums and insane guitar riffs, but as I matured so did my appreciation of the lyrics, the melody choices, the bass guitar, and the overall composition. Saeed, we appreciate you taking the time to provide this content, your perspective is refreshing! BTW, I think Vicarious should be next in your list, then you'll be ready for the rabbit hole that is The Grudge (My personal Fav Tool Song!), Lateralus, and The Patient.

If you want Maynard's take on internet tough guys, check out The Remedy by his other band called Puscifer Gotta say, they're different from Tool and it wouldn't work as well for a reaction video, but they've become one of my favorite bands
Awesome review. I'm sure you will get many comments on the songs references to Jungian shadow work and mans evolution from 23 pairs of chromosomes to 24, hence 46 and 2. Great job!😊❤
You have great structure, comprehension, and taste. Pause it when you like. Own it. Tool is meant for the individual. I like every freestyle choice you make *SHAWDOW* is reference to Carl Jung who I believe is the good doctor
Don't listen to any of the negative comments! As an avid tool fan since high school in the 90s, I love seeing people discover such a uniquely talented band, and thinking about the meanings of their songs. Pause and discuss all you want! People who complain about pausing in a reaction video are just plain stupid, and you don't need to listen to stupid people. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much for these words. At times it doesnt bother me, but sometimes it can get under your skin. I know i can't please everyone. Still hope to improve over time.
Went thru the comments and didn't see anyone explaining this song so here is a brief: 46&2 refers to chromosomes which would be our next human evolution. Currently the majority of humans are 44+2 with some ancient tribal people still 42+2. There is a lot more to it than just that but thats the basics. Hope that makes sense!
Dude! Loved the reaction. As someone who is very affected by people's view of me, don't be too hard on yourself. While TOOL fans are some of the best out there, a lot of are assholes. Take what seems helpful and don't give a thought to the rest. It's your channel. Not pandering but, I'd to hear your thoughts on Dvne's "Towers" video. Spiral out!
Fear Inoculum is for me at least sonicly and musically the best f.*#in' experience. Any song from it would turn you for good 👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️
I gave some constructive criticism on a prior video on what I thought can help you out. I hope it didn't upset you. There are a few other people here recommending when to stop or to go back a few seconds and it's all because we care. If any of us just didn't like yor reactions we just wouldn't come back. We want to see you succeed. If there are others actually talking shit, it's the Internet like you say. People can be brutal in black and white.
It's like DNA, man. The Shadow Self of Dr. Jung and the chromosomes of our genetics. 23 from each parent, 46, and the extra two, that's for the mentally challenged. He's calling himself slow. The dark spots in his brain that hide the memories of his tormented childhood are the necessary shadows that bandage wound that only time can heal. Listen to that badass breaks, the vocal breaking, it's almost schizophrenic and a perfect tapestry of skin and soul. FOK yeh!
Pausing is totally cool! And necessary sometimes. Just gotta rewind a bit when you restart so you get back in the flow. Honestly, nothing is worse than a Tool reaction where someone just sits there, listens, says “sounds cool” and that’s it. They DID NOT GET IT. I LOVE IT when a specific part or lyric hits someone so hard that they have to rewind and hear it again. That’s the best. So you do you, man. Just do YOURSELF a favor and always go back, away from the camera and listen again. Just for YOU. Headphones on, lights off, camera off. Just for you. It takes you places.
Just so you know, I really couldn't label Tool as any 1 genre. You can search TH-cam for the rest of your life and you will never hear a band that sounds like Tool. They are one of a kind.
I love people enjoying TOOL. I recommend you to check Invincible, so gooood. Here is my favorite list, if you are interested in, please try. IMO they are also so goooood. Dream Theater - the Count of Tuscany (studio album) *but lyrics is very simple. Nightwish- Ghost Love Score (live at Wacken 2013) AURORA-murder song (live at Novel Peace Prize concert) *this is not metal, but I really love her.
A popular belief is that the song title refers to an idea first conceived by Carl Jung. But this seems in error as no relevant citations to Jung on such an idea seem to be available. Such an idea is further attributed to Drunvalo Melchizedek concerning the possibility of reaching a state of evolution at which the body would have two more than the normal 46 total chromosomes and leave a disharmonious state.[3][4] The premise is humans would deviate from the current state of human DNA which contains 44 autosomes and two sex chromosomes. The next step of evolution would likely result in human DNA being reorganized into 46 autosomes and two sex chromosomes, according to Melchizedek. Wikepedia
Dude. I’m a tool super fan and screw anyone who’s bashing you instead of making kind suggestions on how to improve your tool experience. That sucks. Pause when you need to. It’s weird when people get mad about people reacting on a reaction channel. Find your style and go with it.
Thank you so much for this. It's still a new channel and i am finding my way. I did not expect it to grow this fast, so i was a little unprepared for this (i wouldnt even know how to prepare for it). Will continue this journey!
@@SaeedReacts. I just stumbled upon you and I think you’re doing fine. Tool fans can be a little intense. Please don’t let the bad ones put you off. Tool is an incredible experience.
We know you're new to this stuff brother, you're doing great!!! Learn from each video/comment (even the rude ones haha), make adjustments, spiral out, then keep going!!!
stay strong my friend. have fun exploring this era of music it will reveal many gems, an epic time for music. Tool and Rage against the machine , are two of my favs.
You don't HAVE to do a reaction video but there's one from O'Keefe music something or other of a group of kids playing this song. The girl who sings has a great voice as well!
Tool isn't a genre of it's own, it's very original for sure, but the genre is progressive metal (a genre largelly defined by breaking established conventions in the genre it's in, like prog rock is to rock prog metal is to metal). Also, don't take Tool fans too seriously alot of us are notorious for being ... weird about it, and take it way too seriously. Also the song is about Jungian archetypes specifically the shadow which is part of the unconscious mind and represents repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts and shortcomings. Carl Jung theorised that you have 3 options when dealing with the shadow part of your mind, which is incorporation, metamorphosis (changing it to something positive) or rejection, but most importantly it is to be aware that you have a shadow, that is you have bad sides and you have to be aware of them and deal with them either by accepting them as part of you, changing them so they benefit you or rejecting them completely. The 46 + 2 theory is "simply" the next step in human evolution ( humans have 44 autosomes 2 sex chromosomes) representing a higher consciousness since the idea according to Drunvalo Melchizedek a New Age researcher is that humans current state is disharmonious, and that humans next evolutionary step is a harmonious one (that is harmonious with ourselves and everything around us). It goes abit further in that Drunvalo Melchizedek also meant that the conscious state of f.ex. aboriginies and humans very in tune with their surroundings and nature live in a more harmonious state than we do. which sort of makes sense when you think about it, or atleast if you've ever done like long term hiking or something like that, the level of care free and living in the moment cannot be surpassed when you are so far away from technology and civilisation which if anything gives most of us a fair bit of anxiety lol
The issue with lyric videos is losing the engineering that makes the listening to TOOL songs mind blowing. From the sound of the instruments to the better quality of Maynard’s voice which some say they can’t hear, to the panning of the instruments from left to right. Best way to hear TOOL is from Spotify and syncing the lyric video to match the Spotify audio. Just a recommendation not telling anybody what to do. Spiral Out 🌀
I've been enjoying your reactions a lot so far. So far you've been great at deciphering the lyrics and showing you feel it. I know ignoring haters ain't easy but it's frankly just some trolls, gatekeepers or angsty kids (mentally anyways) so I hope you can learn to just ignore those. There's lots of amazing and loving fans amongst the Tool fans who love to see others discover their passion so do it for us. The haters can just stop being stupid and watching videos they don't enjoy. What a miserable experience to put on oneself.
Never understood people watching reaction videos complaining about to many pauzes? Isn't that the purpose of reaction vids? The new listener commenting on what the experience let you feel.
I thought it was, so it was a little unexpected to get those kind of comments. But i understand that some people don't like it. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
@@SaeedReacts. No problem . Just one thing, no big deal for me. But when paused, skip 10 sec back. It's normal to pauze during transitions in the flow. These transitions in tool's music are what differiates them from most bands, so people are very meticulous on that issue. Keep them coming, stay natural, you are doing a great job!
Wow i like you i really enjoyed watching you check this out for the first time its one of my favorites and you seemed to enjoy it 😁 good for you but, a little advice look up what 40 ,6,& 2 means that should help you understand a little better
@@SaeedReacts. Yes there is and I love it I saw them live once best live show I ever saw and I've seen a lot of great bands live 😁 anyway thanks again you made my day today enjoy the rest of your day 😁
Wait. Last time the mic boom was on your right ear. Are you wearing those headphones on the right ears now or what? If you listen to TOOL with the L and R swapped, there is no telling what could happen to your brain.
I see you've reviewed a lot of Tool. Coming back to it so many times makes me want to suggest other rock genres that might give you the same power rush Tool delivers. And since Tool is a category of its own, let me suggest music from the Alternative Rock era, with Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, and so many more. Or you can move to Nu Metal, which came during and directly after Tool's time. This is one of my favorites that counterintuitively combines some of the most powerful rock you'll hear along with rap. Two bands in particular stand out for me as being amongst the best of its genre, Limp Bizkit ("Nookie," "Break Stuff" and Rollin'.") Limp Bizkit is a lot of slamming power but light hearted and fun instead of deep and broody, which can get a little too heavy at times. Rage Against the Machine is a lot of left wing political stuff, which I overlook just because I love their music and energy so much. They do "Pocket Full of Shells," "Bulls on Parade," and "Killing in the Name." Another fun listen would be Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" (a real slammer) and back to a darker theme with Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness." This music maintains its melodies, which I like, unlike what came after which was guys barking into the mike and a lot of herky-jerkey, rabbit sex kind of tempo. Despite that, the genre still has its delights, but wouldn't be my first choice. So if you're looking to increase your T-levels and have your natural male chemistry beat your path to an unbelievable high, like 46&2, nature and these bands will take you there. I guarantee it.
Thanks for taking the time to write this comment. I will look into some of these bands. Limp Bizkit i listened to a lot 20 years ago. The others i know by name, but not really familiar with their music.
@@SaeedReacts. Thanks, Saeed. Hope you do. A lot of the music you review is stuff I've never listened to or may have been going on at the same time in the 90s, but I can't help but say that most everyone I knew was listening to Alternative and Nu Metal or other rock genres at the time. Like so much of the greatest music of the era, college radio stations would play it and that's where me and I, rather small-mindedly, thought everybody else's dials were always tuned. I'm not sure who was listening to the music you're reviewing and it may be great, but it's just something that is outside my bailiwick.
Thanks! Comments like this really help. I will try to focus more on positivity. Thats what i am about. Even though the human brain can sometimes get stuck in a negative spiral. I draw strength from this. Thanks!
Looks like you've graduated from baby to tool toddler. If you are interested in the lyrics, check out Karl Jung. He has a handful of slightly out there ideas in psychology, a lot of which are now debunked but super interesting. That's where maynard took inspiration for this song.
I appreciate that! I hope i can improve even more. I am super interested in psychology, human behaviour and philosphy. Had to work on myself the past few years and been getting more and more into those topics. Will check it out.

Whats not derivative. But your point is valid and you can spend your valuable time on things you enjoy. I wish you all the best!
That is so interesting! So many layers to their lyrics. Thanks!
Spiral out!
Thanks so much! That means a lot! Will add your recommendation to my list!
@@SaeedReacts. they're a prog metal band from Scotland with a scifi/fantasy and climate change bent. Enjoy! Love your reactions.
Fear Inoculum is for me at least sonicly and musically the best f.*#in' experience. Any song from it would turn you for good 👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️
That one is on my list. I might have to move it up. Thanks for watching!
Your doing a great job pause when u want
Thanks for this! It means a lot.
There was definitely a lot of constructive advice, which i truly appreciate. Thanks for the kind words!
FOK yeh!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for the encouraging words. Definitely will go back to listen more TOOL on my own.
You don’t have to change a thing. I’ve enjoyed your reactions.
Thanks, that's nice to hear. Sometimes doubt can creep in one's mind.
Just so you know, I really couldn't label Tool as any 1 genre. You can search TH-cam for the rest of your life and you will never hear a band that sounds like Tool. They are one of a kind.
Interesting! I am glad i discovered them, it's quite the journey.
One word Metamorphosis ❤️
I love people enjoying TOOL.
I recommend you to check Invincible, so gooood.
Here is my favorite list, if you are interested in, please try. IMO they are also so goooood.
Dream Theater - the Count of Tuscany (studio album) *but lyrics is very simple.
Nightwish- Ghost Love Score (live at Wacken 2013)
AURORA-murder song (live at Novel Peace Prize concert) *this is not metal, but I really love her.
Thanks for watching and the suggestions. I added that to my (evergrowing) list. i do hope i can get to them eventually.

Thanks for this information. That is really interesting.
Great reaction! Would love to see you experience Parabol and Parabola!! Spiral out my friend!!
Thank you so much! I have those on my list and i noted that i have to listen to them back to back.
Keep going, spiral out :) Some many of Tool to check out :)
Will delve more into their catalogue. Thanks for watching!
Spiral out! 🌀
Thanks for the encouraging words.
Respect 🎉❤
Thanks! ❤️
stay strong my friend. have fun exploring this era of music it will reveal many gems, an epic time for music. Tool and Rage against the machine , are two of my favs.
Thanks, man! Definitely need to get into more Rage Against The Machine as well.
You don't HAVE to do a reaction video but there's one from O'Keefe music something or other of a group of kids playing this song. The girl who sings has a great voice as well!
Interesting i will add it to my list. Thanks!
Also the vitamin string quartet does an awesome cover…. Three violins and a stand up bass…. Phenomenal
Thanks for the information and the advice. I really appreciate it!
Fellow tool fans you may also check out My Sleeping Karma instrumental, also Rush was ahead of the times like Tool.
Listen to Maynard’s other band Pusifer if you want to know what Maynard thinks about haters and trolls. Keep going
Oh, thats interesting! Thank you for letting me know, i will check that out.
Spiral Out 🌀
Is that possible with the free version of Spotify? I do have YT Music, but i don't know if they do lyrics.
Karl Jung shadow theory + DNA evolution
I am going to read up on that!
🤘🏻🌀
🤟
I've been enjoying your reactions a lot so far. So far you've been great at deciphering the lyrics and showing you feel it. I know ignoring haters ain't easy but it's frankly just some trolls, gatekeepers or angsty kids (mentally anyways) so I hope you can learn to just ignore those. There's lots of amazing and loving fans amongst the Tool fans who love to see others discover their passion so do it for us. The haters can just stop being stupid and watching videos they don't enjoy. What a miserable experience to put on oneself.
Thanks so much! You are right. Definitely need to learn to pay less attention to that. So many more positive people. Have a great day!
0:28 You said you were a baby? Keep that in mind and listen to “Lateralus”
0:45 CORRECTION: You WITH the whole Tool army🌀
I did record my reaction before i saw this comment :( . I will need to go back and listen again. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this!
@@SaeedReacts. No problem, I also sent you another video on your Laterlus reaction. That video will blow you away even more.
Wow i like you i really enjoyed watching you check this out for the first time its one of my favorites and you seemed to enjoy it 😁 good for you but, a little advice look up what 40 ,6,& 2 means that should help you understand a little better
Thanks so much. Some people sent me links and told me about it. So many layers to this music.
@@SaeedReacts. Yes there is and I love it I saw them live once best live show I ever saw and I've seen a lot of great bands live 😁 anyway thanks again you made my day today enjoy the rest of your day 😁
"Crawl Away" next please
I have added it to my list! Thanks for the suggestion!
Many of us have had those ‘darker days’ brother. Learn from them, then leave them in the past where they belong. Spiral out brother 🌀
For sure! Took a while to realize that, but im getting there. Thanks, my friend!
You my dear friend you, you are a legend!
Thanks, brother!
Bro, pause all you want. We know the song. We're here for your reaction.
Thanks ! Appreciate it!
“Impossible to do on first listen”. Yeah, no kidding. If you got it on the first listen, we’d know you cheated. 😆
Spiral out! Keep going!!
I love songs that take multiple listens for things to click. Sometimes years.
Wait. Last time the mic boom was on your right ear. Are you wearing those headphones on the right ears now or what?
If you listen to TOOL with the L and R swapped, there is no telling what could happen to your brain.
Lmao
Most headsets have the mic on the left
Oh no! If i don't post anymore, you know why!
@@snozbaries7652 You missed the whole point. Watch his other TOOL video.
Pause as much as you need to, imo, it's your reaction. React.
Wow
Slither
You NEVER PAUSE TOOL
I know that is not done for the real fans. I do apologise, but that is my style. I understand its not for everyone. Have a great day!
hello baby. i live.
Hi, thanks for watching!
Maynard doesn’t like his fanbase
Lol this is what I call a view grab.
