Yeah they supposedly had a lot of material left over after the fear innocculum album and are headed back into the studio this summer after touring. I took what can only be considered a heroic dose on mushrooms Saturday and listened to about 5 hours of Tool. Super soul cleansing 👍😁
Yes! You can hear and see 1% more of reality on a heroic dose, it doesn't seem like much but considering we normally only sense 0.005% it's pretty impressive!
I live in Colorado so I can go to the store and buy my weed and grow, share and eat boomers legally…( and we picked up a qp) so gonna be a fine couple of months lol
They have over 30 years of great music and have evolved over time, they are amazing! You have to read the lyrics and listen many times, TOOL is one of the best bands ever!!!
This was the opener for the show I saw back in October. One thing Danny said that exploring their old Undertow sound is something that interests him. Hope he's right. Now you've heard Stinkfist, The Grudge, Vicarious, and Fear Inoculum. All their LP opening tracks, except for Intolerance. Hit that one for another Tool achievement award!🌀
Maynard is the best at singing to the music. Adam,Justin and Danny give Maynard the music after they are happy with it. Then Maynard listens to it and figures how to sing to the music. That is why it always sounds so connected. Enjoy your journey my friend because I will enjoy watching you take it.
You put this song on full in a good pair of headphones and disappear into a different world. Tool is like listening to a chapter book. Musicly Their songs go everywhere telling a story with something connecting it together . It can be a drum beat, a guitar riff or just a certain vibe. They are like the band the Cure in the sence that they grab you and mesmerize you and you cant escape.
@@SaeedReacts. lol. I actually didn't intend in adding the cure to your list but most definitely check them out. Check out fascination street . Not sure if it will be a view hit as a reaction but it is an incredible song.
Great Reaction! I think Tool (or Maynard) has some spiritual synchronicity going on in their lives. In August of 2019 they release Fear Inoculum, a song about being inoculated (vaccine) against fear. 3 months later, COVID was starting! Notice right at the half way mark exactly, Maynard sings "my Mitosis" (Biology cell division).
I’ve been a Tool fan since first hearing their Opiate EP, and hearing this album for the first time was very familiar. It still has that Tool feel and sound, but more mature, and in some aspects, more technical. They did have over a decade to perfect every note, but this album doesn’t contain everything they worked on. Between Aenema and Lateralus was the biggest shift in Tool’s sound, imo. Check out Maynard’s biography “A Perfect Union of Contrary Things”. It will give a bit more insight into the legend we know as Maynard James Keenan.
@@SaeedReacts. Also worth a watch is Puscifer’s “An Easter Story”, considering it’s getting close to that time of year. It’s just Maynard talking over video taken around his farm, but in true Maynard fashion, has deep meaning. Might not be suitable for a reaction video, but worth your time regardless. ✌️
Thanks so much! Still getting to know their music, but i can tell a few differences between earlier stuff and more recent. I like it all though. Enjoying this journey. Have a great day!
Tool creates experiences. It's not just something you throw on. As with most of their music, it took me many listens for it to click. Once it does, there's no going back. Tool is Tool. There's no other band that does what they do, or can.
This album is so well engineered and performed it went straight to the top of my list, but I can't sit and listen to a complete album in one sitting. Tool is on shuffle at all times.
If you live anywhere in Europe, get to a show this summer. Do the VIP if you can, it’s awesome to see the Danny Adam & Justin jam out to a few songs for soundcheck.
I will have to check those out at some point. A person who writes these lyrics is intelligent and interesting to listen to. A lot can be learned! Have a great day!
4:56 "did these guys have a crystal ball..." You jest, but I do think Maynard is tapped into something... whether he's just smart, has insider info, or some kinda Jungian physic thing. Take note that his most recent Puscifer album Existential Reckoning (2020) is societal destablization and aliens themed.
I think it has to do with meditation and clearing fear from your mind. Inoculating against fear, which can be contagious. With the campaigns on both sides spreading fear, it is relevant today.
The band uses so many spiritual and magical symbolism, ( danny drums for example thelema order )i dk i think maynard tap into something prophetic or they know . But something is for sure your brain chemistry change when you hear them, regardless of the lyrics. With puscifer is the same , existential reckoning is very special.
Maynard is using various metaphors -- from the medical to the religious, as well as others -- to communicate the idea of eliminating a pernicious influence in our lives. This could rage from that proprioceptive part of ourselves that we shouldn't listen to (like the voice of addiction) to some exteroceptive source, seeking to consume everything in our lives. By the way, just an interesting bit of trivia. If you flip half of ----TOOL---- back onto itself on the album cover (because of the way it's designed), it becomes a syringe.
Can’t lie, when I first got the album I wasn’t happy with all the long intros. First week I was like hmm I could cut 90 seconds off all these songs and would be just as happy but I have grown to love the whole Cd. I started listing to them back in 1996
All the other albums kind of come out and punch you in the face with aggression. This one is a slow burn. But man, when it gets going, it burns HOT. 🔥🔥🔥

Tool on shrooms. I can see that 😁

I may have done the same before the OKC concert on Feb 3rd 🤔🍄
@@LanceThompsonKssooner It's even better at home in darkness, music in the background, trippy only begins to describe it!

I am enjoying this journey. Definitely needs multiple listens to really get a feel for it. Looking forward to more.

Oh! I love getting achievements! Will keep this one in mind.
They played Intolerance on the winter tour. Melted my face off every time. 😍
Fun fact: when he says the lyric "mitosis," which means to split in two, it is the exact middle of the song, to the second.
🤯

Awesome 🤘

Thanks! Prophetic song about the shape of things to come. Its like they had a crystal ball 😅
Inoculating himself from FEAR...hence the title...He will no longer be controlled, guided or driven by fear.
When I first heard this album I HAD to comment. "It's a gd masterpiece", I haven't changed my stance, I love Tool❤
I am enjoying all of these!

Just like every tool album before it, it took me a while to come around then suddenly I realized it's my favorite album
Definitely music with a lot of replay value. And also you can discover new things each time you listen. Really enjoying TOOL
Good interpretation of this song. It took me several listens to appreciate a lot of this song. Much different from their previous works. 🌀🤘

I do. Need to see if they are anywhere close and tickets are available
Maynard does interviews about the music & what he is doing in life ,
you can google them!
Awesome review & reaction!..😎💯👍

I definitely feel things are happening in my brain and body when listening to TOOL.
I was initially disappointed bc I love Undertow so much. Upon further review it’s perfect
Sometimes certain songs have to grow on you.

Thanks for sharing these insights. And the trivia 🤯
Toooool! lets go! :)
🔥🤘
I was jamming this during the plandemic, I would tell everyone they don't need a cold jab they need a fear inoculate!
💯

need to up the volume on the music. your voice overpowers the level
Thanks for letting me know. Will try to fix that for future video's.
