    I can feel the part about Gem-knights. I kinda liked playing the deck (in solo mode) when MD came out, found more interesting decks and tried them again for this recent event with a gem-knight loaner including their new support...yeah cool, I can combo off for 2 hours and the result is either an ftk or pass on a bunch of big beaters.
    Other than that, I have this irrational hate towards Dark Magicians.
    Either they floodgate you to death, slowly banishing your whole life one card per turn or they whip out one of their dozens of weirdly specific "if you control DM, blow up the whole board" cards.
    Always feels cheap losing to them. But at least it's pretty satisfying to pop their Eternal Soul.

    I don't mind Madolche. It kept its identity instead of losing it over time like other decks did and it's still fun to play and play against. If there's a fan favorite deck that I hate it's modern Synchron. Sad thing is its that a lot of the strategies these fan favorite decks employ are the same type of strategies that a lot of modern decks use. It's either a floodgate board or a negate board.

      Speaking as a Synchron pet-decker, I actually won't completely disagree with you on modern Synchrons; the standard Speeder build is honestly just a much weaker version of every other combo deck nowadays, and that's why it's kinda fallen out of favour with me. I've since gravitated more towards the Bystial variant, which isn't as combo-heavy (not in the TCG, anyways) and is way less of a glass-cannon.

    True Draco. Worst thing I've ever played against, and I played against it a lot. The deck does absolutely nothing even remotely fun for anyone that doesn't enjoy watching their opponent seethe with rage. Infinite respect to the one guy at my locals that played it, he's an expert player and great guy, but truly he was the one that taught me you can hate a deck without hating the person playing it.

    Uhhh that does remind me of my Krawler deck. My opponents at locals were so annoyed. The first match I won in 5 minutes. 2 duels in 5 mins. But yeah that cards are strong. I flip them with pawns, and activate the effect. If my opponents decides to negate and destroy, banish or whatever I get 2 special summons for free. And if that happens, I have deus ex that just negates an effect when targetted face-down and negates all Monster effects when flipped open. + That subterror field spell just says that they cant be destroyed when face down and gain 1500 atk and def when flipped.

    Oh, Timelords...They recently got released in Duel Links and do you know what their game plan is? Slowly burning your opponent until he's defeated. They're the reason for why I had to put Lava-Golem into my deck. I'm usually against Kaijus and Lava-Golem only works when there are at least 2 monsters on the opponent's side, but some cards just force you to use such unfair tactics. To this day, tributing is the only reliable way to get rid of your opponent's boss monster.

For sure I don’t know any of the last 5-7 years of meta magic decks but I can tell you the basic concepts of how to play, most non set unique keywords and a general understanding of good vs bad cards from the small amount of time I’ve played them. As a Six Samurai player, I can say with 100% certainty the hate is justified. Modern 6 sam has been a LITERAL solitaire deck for a while. You try and go first, you pray they either don't have ash/droll or you draw your 1 of instant fusion / called by, and you proceed to combo for like 15 minutes while you build a baronne, 4 mat appo, borreload, naturia beast, and a shi en. The only good thing I can say about it, is that at least it's a fun solitaire deck to pilot. As combo decks go, it's variable and flexible, and it doesn't always take the same line even though they do usually wind up with a similar board.
      As a gren maju player, cry more, I will continue to absolutely meme on you while going second and I'll do it without even using fissure. You just spam level 8 dangers / kaijus, trigger a bunch of necroface and orochi effects and just walk over their face with some BEEFY LADS. And if you brick and don't draw your gren, you just make draglubion into numeron dragon and kill them that way, get owned nerds.

If you want free combos for link plays, or rank4s, you have to run Ojamassimilation and 3 more garnets. Ojamagic is a broken card but you gotta run 3 more garnets. Ojama Hurricane would be a great payoff card if only we had Ojamandala but that's an anime and Duel Links exclusive card, but we can slowly draw into Tri-Wright and then we got brick central.

    Me loving Heraldic Beasts (was the first deck I got in paper that wasn't insanely budget and got me to pick up all the rank 4 toolbox staples at the time) but realizing that it's currently just "crooked cook with astral kuriboh under it turbo" the deck. In my defense however it's a graveyard strategy which haven't had the most fun time lately in paper or currently in MD

      @@Phyantis4293 I play a lot of off meta stuff. Like I still have stuff like Swordsoul, Branded, Spright, Etc. But i also have Heraldic beasts, Traptrix, Kozmo, Sharks, and a litany of other fun little side project decks that I like messing with.

      @@kichiroumitsurugi4363 I was thinking about that in MD. I opted not to though cause I have zero clue how time thief plays and I typically stay away from splashing stuff that I don't know how to play into my decks. Hence why I basically never play tri-brigade hybrid decks. Might check it out in the near future though since I need SOMETHING else to do during Tear format in MD.

    Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh community, where whatever deck you use, whatever way you act, you're Hated for it unless you're needlessly the perfect human being who just so happens to be good and based at the game.
    So basically a Buff super Saiyan GigaChad. Smells like Tide detergent. Uses Kashtira, and Has Butler levels of Manners/behavior.

    TBF, Gren Maju started seeing success when Dim Fiss and Macro were at 1 and before Shifter even Existed. MBT even has a really great list on the Golden Castle of Stromberg variant, which is easily my favorite build of the deck because it just focusses entirely on getting those cards banished ASAP

    Performapals have three main themes:
    1) Attack modification with smile world and big boosts and battle tricks;
    2) pendulum summon turbo, meant to be pendulum summon toolbox in MR3, taking the extra deck as a backstage;
    3) Making Odd-Eyes and Magicians work/summoning the Z-Arc dragons turbo.
    I personally prefer the attack modification side of them, it is very possible to make a 100 attack monster turn into one with 6900 attack over the course of two turns, around 4000 in one or turning Blue eyes into Celtic Guardian. That was the best fun I had in Duel Links.
    The number of permanent boosts they have simply asks me to break it.

    I feel the Umi one. Mako's my favourite character and the Kairyushin effect is on theme for his first duel with Yugi. But a fast track TCBOO and sitting on Sea Stealth is just not engaging, and there are nearly no other ways to play the deck that are effective.
