Personally I'm kind of torn between a blaster and a slug thrower. Maybe carry both for different situations. Verpine shatter guns are pretty freaking sweet too!

The successor of the Z 6 Rotary is featured with an energy shield upgrade in Jedi:Fallen Order. They are quite a force to be reckoned with! (Until you can block all their shots with ease)
It's the same model in the game, so I would assume that it's just a Z-6. 'Though in Solo: A Star Wars Story, there can be briefly(during the Mimban battle and the push toward the enemy) seen a new, different rotary blaster, which could be assumed as the successor. It's features are hard to tell, but someone on the internet posted a 3d-render of it(assumably not how it was actually modeled for the movie). It looked like a M60-minigun hybrid(the main body is that of the M60, barrel is a minigun type).

How does a suppressor work on a blaster?
How effective is it at silencing _and_ obscuring the *light* from the bolt (a invisible bolt could perhaps mess with a Jedi's Precognition? - you can't see it in your future).
Did you have to pay an Imperial tax per suppressor and get it registered?
It would be a great weapon for a Bounty Hunter/Assassin/various scum.
Team it with a DC-17M which you carry for heavy combat situations.
normal supressor would just burn after time. There is no gas pressure, i think, in the blaster barrel, so the barell supressor would not work, i guess

i think it is because it is not light it is ignited tibanna gas as said earlier which is what is in the cartridges, i presume that most of the sound comes from the ignition of the gas and this is what is being muffled
I’m not too sure an invisible bolt could mess with all Jedi. Some that are strong in the force, yes. Jedi like Kanan in rebels were blind so they saw everything through the force. Cool idea though!
@@CorneIiusJonesworth There were blaster sniper rifles that fired invisible shots...it was one of Donos' favorite toys in the novels.

@@Ixe2077 It IS in Battlefront. The heavy class can use it, and the Ovisian Gunner can use it. EDIT: Sorry, I read the comment wrong. There’s a mini-gun in Battlefield 1 I think.

You did forget a about the T-21, which was developed for clones in the late clone wars before it was used predominantly by the empire. Also the Valken-38x, the Westar 35, and a few others.
The westar 35 was a mandalorian blaster pistol used by the deathwatch, did you mean the Westar M5

The 15s was always my favorite, and being into guns/military stuff as I've gotten older it seems to be the most utilitarian weapon of the bunch.

I wished we saw the clones use the DC-15S' folding stock more, or using the DC-15A's scope.
The stock would probably slip of the armor
The clones also used a blast cannon on occasion, with a couple variants if I remember right, with mentions of there being a module for the Clone Commando blaster to allow it to fire as one as well...and they're basically the blaster version of a shotgun.
The main reason I remember that is because it was used in the RPG and minis game at the time...

Isn't the Westar M5 another weapon the clones used it was featured in the 2D clone wars? It would have been nice to have seen the weapon in Battlefront 2.

I’d take the DC-17M. Everything I need all in one package. While I’m at it might wanna take one of those Katarn Armor sets to. And if not the DC-17M the Z-6 can get the job done.

@@danndidntask4057 We say "Dathomeir" not "Hell" in Star Wars.
I mean the ar 15 is probably more effective then any of these blasters considering it has a higher effective range and versatility. Hell modify it to fire a 762 or any higher caliber rounds and it probably punch through most armor in Star Wars. Hell it probably be more deadly too considering blasters seal up the most wounds they inflict.
@@ONEIL311 A 9mm would be better than a blaster considering the bolts travel at crossbow bolt speed.
@@ONEIL311 Gun nerd here, you can’t modify an AR-15 to fire 7.62, you’d need an AR-10. Which btw can reach ranges of around 1000 meters.
I did not know that the DC-15s became so much more common due to the republic wanting an alternative for the DC-15a because of financial difficulties; I have always assumed that the DC-15a was simply standard issue for low ranking and junior enlisted clones (privates) and the DC-15s would be given to higher ranking enlisted clones and NCOs like sergeants.
Gimme a DC-15a, and DC17 as my sidearm, paint my armour Red and put me in the Coruscant Guard on a diplomat security mission.

Fun Fact if you yell "for the republic" while wielding the the Z6 you can +50 badassary points, +100 survailbulty and +45 damage

Well it’s a clone helmet so...
The DC-15M is the best. I love switching between the different weapon modes in Republic Commando
DC-15A has problems granted, but in the role of a designated marksman weapon it could prove exceptional.

My entire time of watching the clone wars and I never saw anyone unfold the folding stock on a DC-15 carbine
You can see it in the Clone Wars 2003 show.
Z6 rotary blaster obviously it's the best weapon to Republic ever made only wish the Republic brought a ion Cannon would have been epic to see

I’m playing through SWRC currently so I can’t help it love the DC-17m because every time I feel like I’m at my wits end with SWRC as a game, I realize I’m just failing to use the DC-17m attachments or failing to direct the team. If I were living in the world of Star Wars though, I’d want the DC-15s and spent the saved credits on a better stock and improved sights.
The DC-17M also had a suppressive fire mode making it similar to a modern day LMG.

The grand army of the republic and the clone wars is my favorite Star Wars era Because I love the clone army, I hate palpatine though and in my opinion, If I had to choose between the 501st legion and a stormtrooper legion I would choose the clones because they were bred for war while stormtroopers were just people who wanted to shoot things and oppress people, not help.
The DC-17m and DC-17 Heavy Blaster Pistol (HBP): hands down my favorites. If I lived as a bounty hunter or mercenary in the Star Wars universe, I'd want a 17m as my primary weapon with a 17 HBP as my sidearm.
Lastly, I know it hasn't had much screen time but I really like the Cip Quad hope to see more in future Star Wars productions.

DC-15S carbine is my favorite. Not as unwieldy as the rifle, but it still has a greater range than a pistol. Imo a good all round weapon that might not be the best at one thing, but is still useful for any situation.
The Dc17m is my favorite of these because it’s used by my favorite type of clone trooper Commando
Would love to see you cover more specialized weapons like snipers launchers and any other infantry weapons they used. Also more factions.
What about the DC-15s pistol, a light weapon, fairly cheap (400 credits) and the same range as the DC-17 pistol (20 m). An excellent weapon due to its capacity to recharge itself in battle. But of course the major drawback was the lack of punch against medium to heavy armor (but it can chew as easily as its brothers B1 battledroid)

@@Arc-Trooper- Sadly yes. There were also great weapon in their arsenal like the Westar-M5, the cip-quad (apparently canon now and used by beach trooper), the PLX (not a blaster) (canon apparently)

1. DC 15S blaster carbine
2. DC 17
3. DC 17M
4. Z-6 rotary cannon
5. DC 15A blaster rifle.

450 meters is really short for a sniper rifle.

An interesting fact about the carbine is that it can be seen in the hands of several clone captains on Geonosis in AOTC

I think the dc15s is a pistol, but not like the dc17, the dc15c is the smaller dc15a
What about that one other rifle that the arc troopers used? It was kinda chunky looking and it had a scope and sometimes a sling

The Z 6, mount it on a vehicle or mount and hook it up to a power generator and you have a blaster that fires 9.900 rounds per minute for however long you want
OK so DC-15A is what would constitute a marksman rifle, DC-15S be a carbine and the DC-17 modular weapon platform as an SMG. I find it weird that a hip fired weapon such as the Z6 wasn't phased out as their squad automatic weapon since using it exposes you from cover and makes you a prime target for snipers.

It will never not be annoying how slow blaster bolts are. That's one thing I liked about 2005 clone wars. They seemed to fly alot faster.
