Synplant 2 is more accurate but you can't see the waveform. In fact, Synplant doesn't show you the oscillator's waveform, but it can pretty much recreate any sound if you keep rebranching the closest sound. The random seed is also pretty fun, I ended up with dogs barking and weird cartoonish sfx just by clicking random seeds. Synplant will change the entire synth industry because you will discover 100 new sounds in a hour.
It's fun for where it is right now, and good for vital to have this but it's not anywhere near as good as synplant 2. Perhaps with more updates it'll get better
@@mikaelhansen8035 Aye. I don't use them that way except for building up one shot libraries. I wouldnt want to buy synplant 2 expecting it to do that either. It's closer to it but falls very short of that goal. Much better at creating high quality new sounds though, especially if you go out of your way to feed it samples that make it harder eg blending samples, or putting a gap in the middle of wildly different sounds.
I’d agree. Synplant is much better for getting more unique variations of sounds as well. Feel like MicroMusic has some decent potential though for more accurate recreations of more traditional ‘synthy’ sounds.
Great vid. I had good results too if you’re choosy with what you know if can process and then tweak. In all I think a good tool to get a sound you want or even to push you to get something equally as good. It’s all free too, so why not give it a go?!
@@gechabeats_ there was at least one update I know of since launch because early versions had a problem with the white noise sabotaging the patch. I'm keeping an eye out how the guy develops it before all the big boys bring theirs out.
Exactly! Then you have a sound close to the original, but it's more like 'your own' sound. I think this is great for remixing old projects and you don't know how or don't have time to spend ours on recreating sounds that you made years ago, or for inspiration. But i think we should be careful and try not to depend on AI, bc our own creativity will go down the drain. I think it's better to design sounds yourself, then the sounds are really your own sounds.
Hey Gecha, what I'm wondering is that can you use the preset with different samples ? Like let's say I found a pad on Splice and use it with Vital's preset that MicroMusic created for me. Is that possible ? Cause I see on Ableton there's a midi on your timeline. thank you
yea it works very poorly i tried this thing a bunch to recreate sounds from a video game track i really like, tried to find the part of the song where the synth stands out the most. nope. not gonna work like that. big time waster if you're into that sort of thing lolol. i'd rather make my own sound
i agree these type of tools can be fun to play with but in the mean time will destroy your creative mind as you drop it into a tool to find stuff , training your creative brain in a lazy one that's what it will result into after years off usage
its an easy way to learn when you deconstruct it, but i see were you coming from - for me it destroys a part of your own creativity , nevertheless always good to learn new ways @@foljs5858
or you could try synplant2. the difference is really night & day and i really hope people don't get the wrong idea about this kinda tech just because they only have access to MicroMusic
Doesn't work, it only creates some kind of presets that sounds like a default or init sound. I tried it with Martin Garrix Animals like in the demo-video. First I though the "WARNING:tensorflow:AutoGraph is not available in this environment" is the problem but with the hotfix3, it doesn't show up the warning but the sound is still the same default like preset. And every 10 presets sound exactly the same.
This is REALLY freaking amazing.
Can already see dozens upon dozens of uses for this.
Considering VITAL is FREE... OMG. Lots of uses!
IT IS STIL NOT FREE! :(

From free to 100$, that's a better jump than Duplantis would ever dream to do.

Exactly. I tested it out to try and recreate a handfull of synths. Never got that close to the source sound

Very,Very usable piece of software. Thanks for sharing this because it will also help me with learning Vital.
Wow, this is mad!!! Thanks.....quite a decent file size.....
Sounds like a lot of fun.
Great vid! Inspirational!
very nice alternative to synplant
This is pretty amazing. Are you using the free or paid version of Vital? (paid has more presets/waveforms, to draw on)
real strings, violin etc?
1:46 bro this ai cant remake a litteral saw wave with some filter envelope synplant is totally better

Nice thanks a lot for that ! By the way your fast forward tape sound FX is amazingly good where can I find it ?
Nice one.. hopefully Mac version is coming soon !
Well, Synplant is running by only a french guy who developed all that crazy beast by himself.
this is crazy
This is only in Alpha currently too, so hopefully it should get even better!

NOT FREE
👍🏻👌🏻
You can change the title now because it's not free anymore. 100 bucks (80 at black friday "month") or a 10 dollar subscription.
can do sound effects?
How is it free when its asking for $89 or £69 pound ?
They changed the price. Not the channel's fault, but he should change the title.
Anyone has a different link for the software? Its no more free ;/
You could have mentioned that Mac and Linux aren't supported yet.
I know, I completely forgot to include it! My bad!
No worries. When they get a Mac version together (Intel compatible, please and thank you), I'll gladly be checking it out.@@gechabeats_
Don't you want it to create sounds close to a preset for variety? Not to recreate the sound...

Thanks for your excellent video. I'm glad to learn about MicroMusic. But I don't see where it's free. It costs $100.00

nope
Doesn't work on Mac...
Good.....😅
Need it for Mac
Because YOU can’t get it too work dosent equate to it dosent work.
Not Free, and judging from the other opinion it just generates presets with random values.
Interesting, but 100 bucks are not what I'd call free 😢 Nice review though 👍
its not free they ask for money on the hompeage. not worth it.
of course it costs money when i find it :)
Fuck AI, seriously
I know man I know...
Great plugin.
But please change the video: it's NOT FREE!
