Yes, Climbing replaces a step required to climb and is also replacing something we can do perfectly fine because this is a no Right or left run, not a no jump run.

For the spider boss, I found it possible to beat him with no left nor right presses: get on the middle of the ground to trigger the boss, then time a glide into one of the shock balls eggman throws in order to get hit to the left, then use only the left poles to damage eggman, and when there are spikes on both sides, you can spindash and hit eggman towards the spikes, careful tho since you'll need to correct yourself before getting hit.

Basically nobody has seen him online since his last reply on twitter. His discord mods and everyone in the discord abandoned him, and nobody knows what happened. For all we know he actually died, which is a very real possibility with the total radio silence with literally everyone. I hope he's doing well

Okay I was doing my own run and checked out if others tried it, and I have a few suggestions. The Spider-Boss throws these energy balls that can be used to get thrown at the left of the mech. It's really precise and it really hinders the rest of the battle since you don't have any rings, but it is possible without a left press. Same trick can be used to fight the Lightbug Boss without going the wrong way

I did this challenge myself a while back, but I didn’t really try too hard to succeed. I only got as far as Studiopolis.
Edit- realized this might sound confusing. I only went as far as Studiopolis without right presses, not without left.

In flying battery zone act 2 boss, stay on the left side and you won't have to press left. Don't go to the right side

I thought the pole swings send you in the direction you're coming round. I'm sure the ones before the boss send you in both directions though I've not tried it for the boss specifically.

9:00 for the spider boss. Could you have not glided into the spikes on the right and as soon as you land, turn into a ball. Which then would move knuckles to the left side

For Flying Battery 2, is it possible to damage boost yourself to the left and get a couple rings to reach the left side of the pole?
i thought it wouldn't be that bad but as soon as i saw mean bean machine i then knew how hard it would be
My corpse is typing this because I took a shot every time you said "difficult".
In the boss you could spindash up to the wall and use the backdash (aka spindash while moving to the left but facing right)
*remembers sonic's drop dash could theoretically could do this as the drop dash covers some of the slack.*
...As long as you don't get stuck

Definitely was hard (at least compared to the rest of the game), but honestly, I found the game itself to be generally easy.

You can hit the 2nd phase of metal when the bots spindash btw. Just spindash into them and they'll bounce off and hopefully hit Metal Sonic. also I know I'm late.

I’m not sure if it would work but at the end of Chemical Plant act 2 as it shoots you out of the pipe, couldn’t you fly to the right immediately as you’re ejected, as you’re still in a ball?

I know how to skip the left press in Flying Battery 2's boss! You have to glide precisely into the spin pole so you can be launced right and be damage boosted!

If you’re lucky you can eliminate left press 2 in flying battery by jumping into the spider bumper and it launches you to the left

i actually beat it with 2 left presses. one in chemical plant zone 2, and hydro city zone 2 where the fans get you stuck. first chemical plant zone 2. once your done with puyo puyo, once you get shot out before the spring gets you stuck, if you do a wall time jump in the very right time, you can glide to the side wall. now for hydro city 2. now this is where it gets confusing. so once you get to the boss then just you can glide over the bubble and have your se-... oh great another timing jump yeah that’s unheard of yeah... *sarcasm* anyway if you glide at the very right time and glide off to where you pressed left in the boss.. that’s where you glide. so yeah that’s basically the solvers there and unfortunately the rest of the left presses sadly aren’t beatable. im sorry it’s sad ending but yeah hope it helped

If you done the chemical plant 2 after ending the boss when you kick out of the ground and before you hit the spring and before and then glide and done

fb2 boss maybe can be beatable if u get hit backwards bcuz of the spikes in the third stage condition
I remember I tried this, I don’t remember how, but I was able to do Flying Battery Act 2 Boss Left/Right-less, although the Chemical Plant one will always be unskippable.
There is no way to get to the left side. You cant damage boost, you cant use the bumper, and you cant use the pole
