Doesn't losing all your lives and using a continue reset your score though?
You could've gone the whole game normally, used a continue on the last zone, and gotten a minimum score from that, right? Not zero because of bosses, still, but lower than any other means.

You would think that ending the stage at 9:59 would give you a lower time bonus, but that is actually the best way to get time points.
Yeah, it was a feature in sonic 3 where ending a stage at 9:59 would award you with a 100,000 point time bonus that for some reason ended up returning in mania

The no-collision revive thing first shown at 10:11 the Encore Ghost Mode, or EGM. Short and memorable. (If it is possible to use the glitch outside of Encore, just Ghost Mode/GM.)

I think the no-collision glitch should be called Ghost Mode.
It has a charm,with it being a glitch in previous Sonic games as well
Time Bonus: The faster clear, the more score!
Ring Bonus: Every ring is multiplied by 100 and added to the score.
Cool Bonus: Works like Damage Bonus. No hits grants 10k score! Every hit taken reduces bonus by 1k.

Green hill zone 2 u dont need to attack the boss to destroy ot u can just keep running foward until eggman gets defeated but i think you still get points from it though i dont know but i dont know if it still works i did it ages ago

8:21 That time would be close is the S3&K Boss-Kill-With-A-Second-Left-On-The-Clock glitch was in effect. (What this is by beating an act in... about a minute, or something else, your granted 50000 points, but if you kill the boss with a second left, 9:59, you would be granted 100000 points.)

Billeh, in Press Garden Zone, if you land on the log in the cutter right before the boss for no more than 5 frames, then get frozen and hit the tree wall, it causes the tree to disappear.

dumb fact if you get 9"59 on timer in some sonic games you get a ludicrous point bonus
Play the entire game without caring about points, and once Titanic Monarch starts, exit the stage and start the save file back up.
Now you no longer have any points. Now all you have to do is avoid points in TMZ
