@@DJtheBlack-RibbonedRose Lol, wow. I remembered they made a Barbie movie when I was an older kid, but didn't know they made more. I thought the original didn't do so well in reviews, or I could be mistaking my bias. Wasn't a doll kind of boy.

But you're right, Nutcracker wasn't a hit with the few critics that bothered to review it at the time, however it ended up making a sh*t ton of money in video sales, therefore kicking off a series of follow-ups that are considered by many to be certified classics.😊 (And this is coming from someone still owns all 16 movies that came out during Barbie's 2000's era. 😉)

I'm pretty sure Barbie's mom is a German doll named Bild Lilli (basically the inspiration to Barbie) but like Mattel almost never talks about that because her doll line was more catered to adult audiences
She does have a mom and dad in the three newest movies….not sure why they waited so long tho😅

I agree. The villains in the older movies were far more entertaining than the new ones. (Also, this may be a bias point of view , but I like Barbie in a more classic style of fairytale than the new modern style lol)

In this movie's defense, rubies can actually be magenta in color. In fact, that might more common than pure red rubies, although I might be wrong on this, don’t take my word for it.
Like amethyst, ruby has different types that can come in different shapes and colors, it usually sticks close to red, orange or even a magenta color. And they can even change pigmentation depending on which country region they are from, for example -
Indian rubies are actually a pinkish red colour, it's the same with most minerals. Ever wonder why there are different types of diamond colors? (green diamond, yellow diamond, etc, etc. even though diamond is technically a mini class of it's own.)
Yeah, but it has to be a specific kind of pinkish red I think, or else it'll be classified as a pink sapphire and not a ruby.

7:42 Ya'll this movie was SLEPT ON. Honestly don't know why it isn't talked about more. And pupcorn was most definitely not a revamped Bibble- Barbie just needed an animal companion and he did fine. Besides he doesn't even stay in that form the entire movie.
Bro this is one of my favorite Barbie movies. I loved the setting and the plot was pretty great too. And I never hear anyone talk about iiiiit.

@Crow Personally, I have always found the more relatively simple dresses more intriguing.
For example: Lunafreya Nox Fleuret. The dresses she wears are just _astounding_ without being needlessly gaudy.
*Granted,* some mermaid-style dresses are tasteful, but that's usually when the "mermaid tail" doesn't look like an active tripping hazard, excessive to the point it could be called the "hubris skirt", or a fancy broom. Just kept very simple and not very excessive. Because if the floor ain't cleaner than a man's asshole after explosive diarrhea, the bottom of that mermaid tail is gonna be dirtier than the inside of a throughly used portapotty.

I liked Video Game Hero. Despite some cheesy dialogue choices and Barbie being able to fix most of the problems by coding, I liked the different worlds and the tutorial character!
I agree that Video Game Hero has some cringy lines.
I think the NPCs don't know how to code (with the exception of Cutie) while Barbie knows. I still enjoy the characters and I wish we could have more of it.
It's not perfect, but it's still a great movie after all.
