Overall a very useful video. For the signing part of the application, - though ur form seems to be accepted , but it does't seem to be logical to put the thumb impression in "*application for minor child" section, it should have the parent's sign. and on the section before that on the main sign area, it should have the name of the child and his thumb impression. [thanks to these super - illogical dumb Indians working in the embassy to make these tiny things super complex , vague, error prone, and confusing ..LOL :D , Sometimes, I think they made it to make it more corruption-friendly probably?? ] BTW in the newer check-list i don't see they are asking to notarize the application form. can you plz confirm for us and update that part?

Hi Suja, For OCI minor, As a proof of Valid Legal status, I have sent mine and my wife’s expired Visa’s and I-797C receipt notices, today VFS has sent a email for missing documents stating that I need to provide Valid legal status documents. Should I call and explain that they were already sent (or) resend them again with a cover letter saying that my extension is in process. For OCI Card Notary for Minors, I got the notary done in UPS and they did not put the notary stamp on the Application form and Parental authorization form because it does not have the Notary verbiage. But he did provide Notary identity verification forms for both. Will that work or do i need to get the notary stamp done on the Application and Parental authorization form ?

But I had put self-attested DL copies of mine and my wife's with the application. What am I missing? Should I send this doc again? DL should be enough, try to send an email saying you have already submitted the address proof.. also check once that your dl address and the address you have mentioned in the application are same

Hi Suja, For OCI minor, As a proof of Valid Legal status, I have sent mine and my wife’s expired Visa’s and I-797C receipt notices, today VFS has sent a email for missing documents stating that I need to provide Valid legal status documents.
Should I call and explain that they were already sent (or) resend them again with a cover letter saying that my extension is in process.

If your applying for new oci , then yes . passport will be returned back after verification in 1-2week

1. Self attested documents - Do we need to upload the self attested papers as well? Or Just upload the documents(without self-attestation) and send the self attested physical copies in the application?
2. In Indian origin proof document - do we need to upload both parents Passports?

No need to take infant to notary, parents can sign in front of notary and after coming home you can take the thumb print

For OCI Card Notary for Minors, I got the notary done in UPS and they did not put the notary stamp on the Application form and Parental authorization form because it does not have the Notary verbiage. But he did provide Notary identity verification forms for both. Will that work or do i need to get the notary stamp done on the Application and Parental authorization form ?
in the checklist its mentioned as notary (stamp and sign ), so please check with vfs before sending your documents , you can raise query with vfs ..

No need to regenerate the application form, even if you do you will have the same application reference number

But I had put self-attested DL copies of mine and my wife's with the application. What am I missing? Should I send this doc again? Does my minor's application need something else other than DL as address proof?
DL should be enough, try to send an email saying you have already submitted the address proof.. also check once that your dl address and the address you have mentioned in the application are same

I would ask you to wait , am hearing it’s getting stuck with embassy for more than a month. It will risk to book tickets unless you receive passport .

Because you have send your original passport and only got two labels , so they are asking extra return label to send back your passport
