My thing is I'm a low producer last time I could only make 50% of what my baby needed. Second time around used haakaa right after feeding to increase supply so it's enough for baby . Did this the first 2 weeks pp. it made a world of difference.

I adore the Elvie Curve. I had the Elvie catch cups too and they were great but the Curve was a game changer. I loved that I didn't have to use any "hacks" to make it fit into a nursing bra or tank top, I loved that I could set it down with basically no spill risk, and, once I got the hang of the spout, I found it super easy to get the milk into bags from it. I would put it on after baby would nurse to make sure I was getting every last drop and I could also put it on the side he wasn't on just to catch. I know the Haakaa is more popular but it didn't work as well for me.

I have the Boon Trove and in the first couple months of breastfeeding it was so useful! It’s basically the same as the Elvie just without the plastic frame. It’s nice because you can use it with and without suction depending on what you need. I would use it with suction once or twice a day to relieve engorgement and sometimes just throw it in my bra like a milk catcher when I was so leaky in the early days so I wouldn’t soak through my pad and shirt.

Can you please do a video that includes the haakaa shell and compare the suction strangth of each. Can you also make a video about how to use passive pumps to gently increase milk supply for under producers
    Thank you

Can you do a video on DMER? I had it with my 1st baby even while exclusively pumping, now that I'm pregnant again I'm not lloking forward to the nauseous feeling I delt with. Does it reoccur? Is there any way to avoid it? Thanks in advance.

Does the Haakaa work when not breastfeeding on the other side? My baby isn't really effective at removing milk and I'm an undersupplier. It's been hard enough working in nine 20-30-minute pumping sessions a day and trying to not make any of them more than 3 hours apart. I don't think I can really pump more. If I could just pop on a Haakaa from time to time so that I'm removing milk more times a day, it would make life so much easier. I'm currently 2 months postpartum and produce 14-15 oz. a day pumping 9x a day. It's been a huge increase from where I started out (not a single drop the first five days, an ounce a day for the next couple of days, gradual increase to about 8 oz. a day for the rest of the entire first month, steady increase since then), but it's still nowhere near enough.

You could maybe incorporate the haakaa a bit, but it’s not going to give you the nipple stimulation you need. It might remove a little milk, but nothing substantial and definitely can’t replace a good, full session. I don’t think it’s quite the solution you’re looking for. I would work on optimizing the pumping sessions you’re already doing! A wearable pump may be another option to help, but those come with their own challenges too. Are you working with a professional?

Yes!!! I used 2 after feeding to make sure I'm removing enough milk to establish my supply. I too am an under producer and did this method the second time around. It helped soooo much. For post feeding if you don't get a letdown after 5 to 7 min take it off and massage breast and put back on for 5 to 7 more minutes . The goal is to tell body more milk please. so it helps increase the level you need.
My laid back schedule was to use the haakaa s during the day after each feed, I used the elvie curve for when I was out of house. At night I just focused on breastfeeding and pumped only once between 1 and 4 am ... usually at 3 because my husband would take over for me to sleep...I used the willow 3.0 for this with bags so I can recline and rest and sleep. Then in the morning around 8 am I would breast feed and do a power pump. To make sure I was totally empty.
Between 1am and 4am you make the most milk producing hormones and typically have the most milk in the mornings. By doing a power pump in the morning to remove all the milk and ask the body for more it sets the tone for the day. Then just use haakaa throughout the day.
I did this for the first 2 weeks to help establish supply. After that I kept 1 single night pump and haakkas but cut down power pumping to a few times a week. But I still did a regular pump in the morning with Spectra.
      Hope this helps.
      Good luck.
