Loving your pink jacket. I've done no sewing since June but I have loads of plans. I need to make pj's and a dress. My past 2 months have been hectic. We had visitors, then hubby and I road tripped through the Outback to Darwin and back, and more visitors.

I think this is the nicest coat you have made yet. It is very flattring on you and the fabric is gorgous too including the colour. I hurridly went to the link to learn more about the pattern and received a bit of a shock at the price of the pattern, $35 NZ. Have to think about purchasing especially as Im a beginner sewist and likely not to achieve a high standard in my finished garment. This would not justify the cost to me so I will enjoy seeing it on others. Im looking forward to your surprise box of the month and the new advent calendar coming later. Your channel is so interesting - love it. xx

I recently finished my Nova coat, I made mine from a wool and cashmere blend that I bought from Super Cheap Fabrics and the lining I bought was from Minerva in the UK (it is beautiful, it has a paisley pattern and it is in two colors, teal and a bright pink). My new is just so nice and warm BUT I need to take it to the dry cleaners and get them to give the coat a really good press, I find making garments such as coats, jackets, vests, etc highly benefit after a professional press.

Elizabeth also stocks this incredible interfacing which is a cotton and it is fantastic, if you would like to try some please let me know and I will get you some to try
What an absolutely gorgeous coat! I live in a climate where I never owned a coat until I needed to buy one to visit my daughter in Wisconsin in January during a snowstorm. 😂 This would be a lovely coat to make in a light weight wool, and the rose color is beautiful. 🤩
I love the pocket detail on this coat, it looks so cosy. The pink looks good on you Kristen, it's a lovely deep colour. Your Magnolias are so rich in colour too, I had Magnolias in my wedding Bouquet 34 years ago and they are still one of my favourites. Your tree is covered in buds waiting to burst with colour 💕 I ordered your advent calendar and am so excited you are doing one of your own this year. I am hoping to make my family matching PJ's for this Christmas as that is one of our traditions.
Hi Kristin, Its nice to see the coat but it would be good to see more garments made by you.!! You use to have quiet a few I was wondering what's happened to your usual months garments.It would be just so good to see NEW garments you do for the month??
In the last 2 months I have made approximately 18 garments and all have been showed in my episodes. Just look back through my episodes in order and you’ll see! I don’t do monthly roundups anymore because I feel that it may be too repetitive? Maybe I need to start that again to re cap each month? If you ever need a refresher to see my makes I have an Instagram account showing all my makes on there too. It’s simply not sustainable to be making more than a garment a week although sometimes I make 3 per week. Thanks for watching xx
