- This is Part 1 of my restoration of a Stihl MS 180 C chainsaw. Here you can see how to disassembly it step by step
Part 2 will be about a boring but deep cleaning. There is a lot of dirt gathered in so many years of use
In Part 3 I will assembly it, replace some parts and also TEST IT

damn that thing was FILTHY.
i'd wash it down with kero in a parts washer before stripping it.
i bought one with a damaged piston & bore, spotlessly clean like new (ran with straight petrol i suspect), thanks for the strip down video.

A 3/8 earthquake impact won’t loosen the clutch.. he got it by hand 🤔
Actually if you block the piston like I showed, you will be able to loosen the clutch very easy
@@UsualRepairs I have a thick strap of leather I put in the piston.
I think is ok, if not, use rope

If this is an "easy start" saw you are pulling the rope wrong. It's not like other saws.
