  • In this episode of ‪@FullSizeFord‬ we travel to the small farming community of Lind, Washington to rescue a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 for parts. Why we may not ultimately save this car from being crushed, rest assured that everything usable will be removed from it, including the frame. Ride along as we cruise through Lind and we'll even tell you about Lind's famous combine destruction derby.

Great find, so many good parts and thx for the tour of the old town. I'm always amazed at the contrast of availability when it comes to these old cars between Canada and the states, where you can possibly drive the backroads of your state for 2 hours and find say 20 +vintage cars sitting in yards yet, only 5 hours north here in BC, you'd be lucky to maybe see 5 if that...thx for the video, keep em coming!

Glad someone went and got that one. I saw it up for sale on the FB galaxie groups for a long time and surprised nobody bought it even when it was still complete. Maybe because it's out in the boonies? thing would have sold no problem in a major city.

@@FullSizeFord I bought my 64 4 door up just a bit north of Everett 4 years ago off of offerup and the guy said he had all kinds of people asking about it, and in some ways this car in the video was in better shape. It must have been his location. I think it definitely ran and drove better than mine did when I bought it from the videos I'd seen of it in the past. Oh well.

Great find! Those small towns are cool and seem to always have some good stuff hiding.
I mean for a parts car it still has a LOT of good stuff, odds and ends too. Restoreable? Sure! Being a 4dr i don't think there's much desire to try to restore it or put money into it. I bet, in 1963, think wifey told dad the family needed a new car so he ordered up a little 4dr grocery getter hotrod mom can drive with ease!
If you want i can send you pictures of how the winch is on my trailer. You gotta get that thing mounted more forward! I mean i like how you made yours multipurpose removable, but reality is, it's never coming off of there.... LOL

Good Lord! What happened to the side of your truck? I definitely know North East Washington when I see it. I used to pick up loads at a cold storage food warehouse up there. I'd also pick up onions and potatoes. That '63 is definitely worth putting back on the road. It's very cool for being a four door. Especially since it came out of the factory with a 390 four barrel.

No need for the background music buddy, much better without it.
