Great job it’s looking fantastic. Only thing that makes me cringe is the engine components on a bare concrete floor. I am sure you were careful though. Cheers Chris
Just regarding your exhuasts, have a look in your Tansha under members services... guy called russel. He knows a chromer, but he apparently likes working on 2t pipes and will get them looking alright for chroming. Get in touch and check out his work. Im getting my GT750A pipes done this winter. Loving watching the restoration, im hoping to get a T500 once I shift my ducati 748 (totally wrong bike to buy for my riding style)
You didn't mention the different headlight did you ? The flattened bottom only featured the '71R. New replica exhaust of good quality are available in the Netherlands. I have a new nos airfilter but I'll have to check whether or not i need it myself.
@@mcmechanic864 just found your channel yesterday and haven't watched everything. Yes new exhaust are available, Dutch production and 850eu a set complete with baffles and seals. Cheaper than re-chrome and new. Can't find an email address otherwise i would have send you a link.
@@mcmechanic864 Ah my search was not that specific, just for the generic title of 'tab washers', seems like plenty of choice for various metric sizes...
I have been restoring a couple of bikes from the 70's and tried to find the colorcodes for them and the painter told me not to bother. None of the numbers from that far back are usable today anyway. Just find the color and they will match. Yes I am from the USA and form your spelling this information may not apply. 😄
This is beautiful, congratulations. Here since the begining of the restoration
Awesome! Thank you!
Great job, I had my Yamaha YR5 frame powdered coated in 1989 and still looks as good now well worth having it done Rod. 🙂🙂🙂
Thanks 👍
Interesting video as always Rod, the bike is looking good 👍
Thanks 🙏

Yes, it's treated like a newborn baby now, the last time it was treated like that was when it was new 🙂
I also saw Motörhead with Girlschool at Aylesbury so you can tell I am old as well 😊
I used Grey heat shrink over the top of black cables on my 1964 CB77 😊
Yes I thought about that but does it look ok, I thought they might be wrinkly where they bend 🤔

@@Aviopic oh ok thanks, perhaps you can just give me the name of the company or website 🤔
Tab washers can be found on that well known auction site!
I wish they were, I’ve been searching eBay for months 🤷🏻♂️ I realise they might be the same as another bike but what bike do I search for?

@@flickthenick i’ll have a look, thanks anyway 🙂
What’s the dif between the T500 and T500R? Beaut job!
If you google Suzuki T500 model history, you will see they are quite a few differences over the years
Hello, nice bike rebuild. I also have a T500 model J. I want to repaint mine, do you know the coloucode for the white? cheers Andy
No sorry, Dream Machine painted mine, they just know the colours, they said any original Suzuki colour code means nothing to them
