Hell yeah I got 22 little bass in the Grand canal near Indian School and 40th Ave. You can watch people bathe in the canal while you pull fish. Yeah you have to bring water. They're really small bass though that I got. Fun still
Perfect example of the 5 stages of grief at 9:50. Not going to lie bud l, even I wanted to go to my garage and throw my pole 🤣 keep on fishin on man you got this.
Once again Sweet video man.! I was thinking of doing the same thing around the valley with the E-bike and I had come up with the idea of drilling some fishing rod holders to a milk crate then bungie cord the crate to your rear fender rack man that way you got extra storage space and your rods are secure . Some food for thought my friend 🤙🏽
@@SouthwestFishing thank you been fishing urban ponds all summer in Arizona haven’t been able to catch more that three some days I get smoked and only get 1 any advice? And low pressure ponds ?
@@SouthwestFishing that guy is usually chill AF. But he did warn me saying any canal south of Pecos road is supposed to be forbidden from fishing and that fishbrain sucks 😂
@@SouthwestFishing I have been yelled at by those Roosevelt Canal guys. I happened on the canal from Layton Lakes and saw zero signage that it was not open to fishing (and Google had it marked as the "Eastern Canal". Canal fishing can be confusing (and a bit "yelly").
That stretch of canal is always a super good fishery and some giant bass. I was Fishing a little too light that day. Any sort of grub destroys in the canals!
@@SouthwestFishing you ain't wrong haha. Good stuff though! Keep up the awesome fish videos. Maybe I'll catch you around sometime. I usually fish everyday after work, literally after work haha.
In the last pond you fished in the video there used to be a pump right where you caught that bass that tons used to sit under. Sadly these got overfished in the past years but when I first moved in there it would be rare if I didn’t catch at least 5 2-3lb bass
That is so awesome that you got to experience it when it was on fire all fisheries unfortunately go downhill at some point. Especially in the urban areas.
Just curious what's your BFS rod action? I've noticed when I was using single jig hooks on my Dobyns 740C, which is a mod action, I would loose a lot of fish because the rod would give too much. I looked into other rods and I ended up getting a Tsurinoya Legend(which is a fast action) from BaitFinesseEmpire, and I've noticed a huge difference in fish landed since I got the rod. Just a thought on why you loose fish when using your BFS setup. I now use my mod action rod for BFS cranks and any treble hook bait, and I use my fast action for any jig hook or ewg style hook. Great video.
@ 7::22, wrong answer! If you don't have water, head to nearest water source. You are setting a bad example my friend. We just a 50yo hiker die from heat exhaustion on a morning hike yesterday. Once heat illnesses comes on, there is not any immediate cure. You can seek shade, start rehydration but like sea sickness or a hang over, it will be a while b4 u feel better. Unfortunately during heat-related stress, our minds become clouded and we make bad decisions.
I totally understand, but I also stated do not go out without water. And even admitted, I don’t even take my own advice. All in all we cannot forget to stay hydrated, so we can stay out and catch the fish that we enjoy so much!

Haha yeah it’s rough but that’s why we fish! Moments

I am planning on doing an urban series on the ebike! Should be awesome!
@@SouthwestFishing sweet ! Looking forward to that series
Love your videos man, watch you, mark, and Porters videos every time u guys upload 👍
That’s awesome! We appreciate the support!
You do guided tours at Salt river ?
No I don’t, there was a guy with the channel goal fishing who did them. Not sure about anymore tho.

Urban ponds are extremely tough. I fish them soooo slowwww. Almost to the point to where it is annoying. I’ll take 3-4 mins on one cast alone.
“My glasses…” 🤓 hahahahah I hate when I don’t have mine, highly slept on piece of gear
Absolutely! Crucial for possibly catching more
And the water!!!
Get A Net... Nice day of fishing Congrats
Already got one haha thanks!

Drove right by the canal worker😅
I was waiting for a response from him to ask me where I was going. But he did not seem to mind haha

I lost two at the first pond a few weeks ago, dark sleeper kills it in the dingy water
Dark sleepers are awesome!
That’s in my naborhood thanks for the canal spots because I can’t catch fish there
Fish a little slower and you will get bit! Good luck!
@@SouthwestFishing thanks
@@SouthwestFishingthe wopper plopper bite is really good in the naborhood ponds
Always an awesome bite!
Another canal outing with some nice fish at the end. Way to hang in there.
That bass are so feisty in those areas 🤠 hehe 🤐
It’s wild how aggressive they are!
Also what lake would you say is good for bank fishing? I wanna catch some fisb i dont care if theyre dinks
Bartlett lake is the easiest walking bank.
Damn. Hot as hell to be out there biking.
I like the Heat haha the fishing can be good when it’s hot! Thank you for the watch!
Dude! A mile up the road on that canal there's a great spillage spot . Caught fish back to back in that nasty current
I like using the kalin 3" lunker grub chart black pepper at that DQ spot too

just get one of those foldable collapsible nets
That is exactly what I bought! It’s going to help so much
@@SouthwestFishing yay!!!
What is that spinning rod? And what are the specs? It's really nice.
The Okuma X Series. 7’2 ML, super light rod!
No way that’s my neighborhood, I’ve caught a 6lb bass there and my buddy caught a 7lb in the main lake.
