Congrats on your new Element! I've recently discovered a new found love for my 2007 EX and had no idea about the Honda Element community across the US. And how coveted the Element is - these vehicles are an acquired taste if you know what I mean. Been slowly replacing parts here and there, along with the upkeep of course. My E is all stock, I'm the OG owner of the car so it's essentially my baby lol. I'm at 157k on it. These vehicles are hard to kill and they take a beating. Good luck on your journey.

I just got a 2003 with only 95k miles on it (2nd lowest mileage care I've ever owned) and I LOVE IT! SO much fun to drive

Get the valves adjusted or study up on doing it yourself. Elements and Accords have the same engine but Elements work just enough harder that they’ll tighten then burn valves. Easier to check the clearance than pull the cylinder head. Welcome to the family.

I highly suggest Cerakote plastic trim restorer for the plastic. Back to Black won’t help it much.

Use CERAKOTE Ceramic Trim Coat Kit and the outer trim will stay like new for way longer.
