It shares maritime borders with Taiwan to the north, Japan to the northeast, Palau to the east and southeast, Indonesia to the south, Malaysia to the southwest, Vietnam to the west, and China to the northwest.
It is the world's twelfth-most-populous country, with diverse ethnicities and cultures. Manila is the country's capital, and its most populated city is Quezon City. Both are within Metro Manila. Negritos, the archipelago's earliest inhabitants, were followed by waves of Austronesian peoples.

Filipinos are brown Asian like its Southeast Asian cousins, children of Jokhtan, Ophir & Sheba. While Melanesian are Black distant relatives of African in the Pacific islands. While East Asian are North Asian white-yellow skin tribes.

If Negritos were the first people in PH islands, how come the Native American Indians across vast Pacific ocean of Americas continent look more Filipinos the brown Asian, than Black Melanesians of Australian aborigines & Papua NG or even from India subcontinent, the relatives of Negritos. Even some Melanesian islands in Pacific, speak the Austronesian language. So Negritos cant be the first people in PH, Negritos like Melanesians are sea nomadic hunter gatherers like Sentinelese tribe of Indian ocean who later came from Africa, not like the agricultural & ancient seafaring people of Austronesian 5,000 years ago inhabiting the PH-Pacific archipelago.
