Looks awesome. Where’s the rear crossbar? Leitner says thats fixed and does not slide. Does the rack add enough rigidity that you can bypass it? I’ve seen some do the original leitner then add the rails so it can slide when not under high load. Tell me moar!!
Hi Josh! If we didn't have the tray on there, we would have used the crossbars. So the crossbars are with the customer incase he wants to go back to just the original Leitner system. Let us know if you have any other questions! hello@therackshop.com
What was the clearance between the top of the deck and the retractable cover? What kind of height would you have to leave gear boxes or equipment in there with the cover closed?
Hi Jose! Thanks for the questions! Decked JUST released new slides today and we're looking to confirm some information. But, for this specific video, unfortunately, we don't have specific measurements. I think you can use visual markers from the video to measure on your truck a rough estimate of available space. Looks like just below the top of the wheel well and maybe .75" from the bottom of the bed rail cap inner lip.
Is that an auxiliary fuel tank? What brand is it?
Hello! No Fuel tanks I see in this video. The Pods on the sides are GearPods from Leitner Designs. The canister in the truck bed is where the retractable cover retracts into. Let us know if you were looking at something else!
