Hello! Trucks are pretty nuts right now! There are platforms or cargo baskets that can be added to this...but depending on how much you're looking to carry...weight might be an issue. You get about 165-pounds out of this and if you add a platform or basket, you're adding weight to the system which reduces the total overall you can get from Home Depot. A basket would be lighter ~30-50 pounds and a platform about ~48+ If you'd like more specifics or options, feel free to send over an email to hello@therackshop.com

Good question! I think the Super Duty is wider than the F-150. The 68" bars barley fit the F-150, so I would say no. It could be possible to cut the 78" bars down to fit more to your liking. Cutting and some drill on the bars would need to be done.

We use a step drill bit that goes to 3/4". Make sure there isn't anything below you might drill into. Once that is done, make sure to paint the fresh metal. Primer, paint, or if you have some spray bedliner laying around, that will work too! Thanks for your support!

Hello! Further back on the roof help, however, when an aero bar has noise, it's usually because there is an exposed track on the bar. Make sure the top of the bar is filled in with the supplied rubber AND the bottom of the bar should be filled in as well. Double-check that first.

Great question! They are! The full length of the mount is a pliable rubber padding. As for fitment, it should work on just about any bar, but I'm not familiar with a Thule HD bar...can you email us images of the bars you have or the SKU of the rack? Hi Herbert! It'll work if you have the flush side rails. You may not be able to open the glass with this installed. We don't know for sure, as we haven't had this combo come into the shop. But generally speaking, you don't want to open sun/panoramic roofs when racks are attached. Could be clearance or wind noise issues.

Hello! No Fuel tanks I see in this video. The Pods on the sides are GearPods from Leitner Designs. The canister in the truck bed is where the retractable cover retracts into. Let us know if you were looking at something else!

I am referring to the Rack. Will it work with the Tonneau cover purchased and installed by Toyota?

Hello! Noise with the Wingbars is usually from one or more of the tracks not being filled/covered. You'll want to make sure the rubber strips are on the top of the bar and the underside of the bar as well. That should do it for you!

Hi! Thanks for the view and comment! Cargo boxes are different than the cap shown in the video. Your product manual will have detailed removal instructions, but the quick and dirty of it...turn your cylinder halfway between lock and unlocked (you'll need the original key), use the control key to remove the old core, and insert the new core. If you don't have the original key, you can go to a dealer with a master key set or maybe a lock smith. Hope this helps!

Agreed - I just did the same thing and figured it out. Use the key that comes with the Skybox and slowly turn it until you can remove it (the key) from the lock. This will be at ~45deg. Then use the "blank"/control key to jiggle out the lock core - this was tricky and took a bit. I just got my fingernail under it and lifted it out. Then use the blank key to insert the new lock core (making sure to line it up and it will go in easily). Then use your new key to lock/unlock it to confirm it is set in place and functioning correctly. (I realize this is 4wks after your question but maybe it helps the next person).

Great question! This rack system has been replaced by Yakima with a new tower that is slightly lower. I'll link at the end. Otherwise, the OEM crossbars are so low-profile, that they won't let certain accessories mount to it without contacting the roof. Hi Kurt, thanks for the view and comment! We'd prefer the factory raised rails over having to drill into the roof as well! However, it isn't always in everyone's budget to buy a new vehicle after realizing they need to carry additional gear. So, aftermarket companies have designed components for bare sheet metal applications, like shown in the video. The tracks help distribute the forces across the metal. And yes, like everything, there is a limit to what a rack can handle. Even factory systems can be pushed past their limits under harsh situations, I've seen it.

Sorry we didn't see this comment sooner! You can still use the sunroof with this platform. We'd recommend leaving the fairing loose when installing/testing. The fairing can be raised to clear

Great question! Thule shows the M to be the fit, but we suspect the S will also work. Unfortunately, we haven't had a Forester Wilderness come by the shop where we can test fit. You don't happen to be in Austin, do you??

@@TheRackShop sadly I’m not, regarding the roof tents the description of the caprock says it’s compatible with all roof tents but in the Thule roof tent page it is not jaja so I’m a little bit confuse jaja

@@panch0vil1a It doesn't say it won't work, just that it hasn't been confirmed. Depending on the tent, you might be best with standard crossbars as weight can become a factor.

Good question! Unfortunately, we don't know of any that work with it for sure. After some google searching, it looks like some people have made the Go Rhino Sport bar work on it, but with some modifications.

Hi Jeff! Unfortunately, this model with a bare roof does not have any racks available. You might be able to do a custom rack, but this would require drilling. You might check with Porsche to see if the rails can be added and then the crossbars.

You should be able to bump up to the 53" bar. Any bigger and you'll want to go with a Yakima system.

They sit lower than the older Crossroad Foot Pack. Not a ton, maybe .5 -.75" difference. We don't have anymore of the Crossroads to measure out.

Caprock is still newish, so we don't have a bunch of feedback yet...but so far, so good. The shape, rubber fill, and larger front wind deflector should make for a quieter ride in general over the LockNLoad.
