Asked the same question to local UHAUL installer. I was told that the wiring and fuse for the cargo accessory plug are rated for additional load of towing harness. Lawyers may have few things to say about that as well :)

@@Voltomess I’m almost done.. 😄 all that is left is running the power to the battery…. I did it the way the dude is doing it in the video. He makes it look pretty easy…. You need to be a little bit mechanical inclined. I’d help you out if you were close, unless you ended up getting it done…
@@davehanna1557 I never bought it I'm busy with my first motorcycle lol. I can install it but my point is why it has to be so annoying and time consuming compared to what it was on previous jeep models......
cant you just tap into the positive wire of the rear cargo accessory plug instead of running a wire all the way to the front of the vehicle?

wtf happen to 18 and up JL ? why they dont have that easy connection? harness installation for 18 and up JL is a fucking nightmare!!!

@@Voltomess I get that.. on a 1996 suburban it’s a simple plug between the tail light wires, a 30 second install.
