    Amazing! I love how you always incorporate OEM styling cues in your designs and builds. Great work as usual!

    I love watching your install videos, I lost you for a few months, glad I found your channel again. You do really great work. I never leave comments but I had to tell you please keep it up. Anybody can install loud, it takes serious knowledge to create an entire sound environment.

    Matt, this has to be one of your most unique builds in that it's the closest to OEM than just about any I've ever seen. That's a compliment too!
    Nothing looks obtrusive or gaudy. I totally agree with you that on axis is not always best for sound quality.....especially if using a wideband (no tweeter) set up. Also, for appearance purposes. Your pillars look as close to OEM as one would can get and still want to show off as being part of a high end build....the blend in that good!
    Cross referencing the grills to the air vents was a job perfectly thought out and executed sir.
    OMG.....I love the ending and the explanation of why one would want to buy a high res(olution) player. This had never been brought to my attention before with the dual DAC's!
    Thanks again for taking the time for doing these videos!

    Really love watching your videos! My kind of style. I am currently putting together a very similar build. Running mti sub box with 3 13.5 subs and Focal Kevlar 3 ways up front. Going to run the RD1500 and VXI for the front sound stage. My question is how did you get all three different inputs? I really want to run factory system, Amas 96k and a dac player. I would really like to have those 3 options. I will be use the Nav TV as well. Is everything going through that. Thanks

    Matt- Absolutely amazing work! Curious why you did not go with a 400/4, and opted for the 800/8? Sub enclosure looks sick!!!! You might have had enough room for another 13tw5.

    Wasup Matt... quick question on JL vxi 8ch. How’s the output in loudness for the 75 watts?. Ben thinking of a dsp amp packaged in one!. I plan to do similar 3way front rear fill all active but I got scanspeak Illuminator tweeters and mid range and mid bass scanspeak discovery’s

    So how you like those JL VXi vs Mosconi Pro, I’m familiar with JL XD and JL HD how do those compare, I’m not an installer I’m just an enthusiast and admire your your work and creativity like those pillars mimicking the air vents and that stealth sub enclosure 👌🏽... I saw your post on IG and came to TH-cam right away to watch this video that’s my favorites truck and as always you killed it 💪🏽👏🏽

    • @therealmatty_s
      @therealmatty_s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are two totally different price points. The JL VXi is a dsp/ amp combo which is class d. The Mosconi Pro is class AB and you would use a separate processor which would give you more flexibility with tuning.

    • @NonPremiumID
      @NonPremiumID 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Class AB has less distortion than Class D.

  • @greenfatman

    How often do you have problems with the Nav Zen processor? I keep reading on GM trucks (19-2020 Silverado/Sierra) forums that it is glitchy or doesn't plain work at all.

    I still don’t get the whole analogue out of the astelle and kern. So the dual dac sends the analogue signal out to the dsp which converts the signal to digital, then back to analogue via the dac in the vxi. So what’s the point of the dual dac in the A&k?

    • @therealmatty_s
      @therealmatty_s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Multiple reasons. One being if you are using toslink, you can only play files up to 24/96. This is going to limit your music library. I understand going Analog out of the player, will be reconverted from the DSP. But there are benefits to the starting signal. The Astell creates insane separation which remains constant when going through the DSP. We used to go digital all the time from the Astell until we actually tested analog out. Have not done digital out since. And in fact, we have brought back numerous older installs to upgrade to analog out. Every single one of the clients were amazed at the difference.

    • @handymadness
      @handymadness 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matt Schaeffer thanks so much for the explanation. Real world experience trumps theory any day of the week. There must be some magic with the dual dac’s in the A&K that persists through the ada conversion that takes place in the dsp. Thanks again for helping me with my model s a while back too! Keep up the great work.

    Matt, another masterpiece! Are you using Audioquest interconnect from the SP2000 analog out, to the Aerospace? Is it 1/8" mini-to-RCA? www.crutchfield.com/p_703SDMR3M/AudioQuest-Sydney-3-meters-10-feet.html

    • @therealmatty_s
      @therealmatty_s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. it is a AudioQuest BigSir cable. 3.5 to RCA. Mixes in the DSP using two input channels on a separate preset.

      @@therealmatty_s Thanks Matt. Hey, do you require a client to buy all new gear, from you, to have an installation done? Or, if I have some Mosconi Zeros and Focal Utopia mseries drivers, and paid you for custom install for the full system.

    • @therealmatty_s
      @therealmatty_s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Instead of putting the video live at a random time, it is scheduled like a show. It is something TH-cam has done for a few months now so people can watch it at the same time as it goes live.

    • @jamesdk5417
      @jamesdk5417 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt Schaeffer thanks for the response, if people want to do that, isn’t it the job of the bell to do that? It may be just me, but I watch most of my TH-cam on my TV via my subscription list, I get super excited to see the latest masterpiece and, bang, nothing, come back 18 hours later. It’s just another thing that upsets me, from losing my job because of COVID, being in stage 4 lockdown and being to go further than 5km from my home because of it. I a curious if this strategy enriches your viewership?
