Hi looks great, how is this board holding up to wear and tear? What is the mast insert like? Is it possible it might get damaged in a catapult? What is the actual weight? Thank you.
Hi Christian, compared to a hardboard the JPMagicAir is tough. Especially catapults are no problem. I had a lot :-) The weight is one of the downsides. It is around 3 kg heavier than a comparable hard board. The mast is normal M8. There is only one position. For more details check out my detailed video where I have the board on land.
I guess most windsurfers who say that inflatable boards are only for beginners have not yet tested one of the real inflatable windsurf boards but only WindSUPs without added rails, a stable fin and stringers and high pressure for increased stiffness. I made some short videos with the Decathlon Tamahoo Freeride 500 board that I use in my windsurfing and SUP school: www.youtube.com/@Surfschule_t-y-b_club. Of course it's nothing for doing loops, but for most schools people who can do a waterstart and jibe in strong winds are advanced.
For speed and control you definitely need a hard board with sharp rails and stiffness. Inflatables are for recreation and mobility. But still good efforts!
Hallo Frage was würdest du einen totalen Anfänger über 50 empfehlen Stx sub 280 oder das jp Morgan Air 150 was du fährst ich wiege 85 Kilo meinst du es würde gehen
Yes, a conventional board is faster. Check out this video, where I ride a Fanatic Gecko in similar conditions. th-cam.com/video/VkiEcP3HGYI/w-d-xo.html Please subscribe to this channel and do not hesitate to ask more questions. Enjoy!
@@mjdejong Dear Martin, thank you for your advice in the last video regarding the pressure on the mastfoot. I tried to consider this and had the impression it worked quiet good.

Do you think a conventional board would be faster? I am thinking about buying your board too. :)
Thanks for your videos!!!

as said, a hardboard is faster. But you do not by this inflatable for its speed

35knt speed?? Don't know Rick...
No! The speed measurement is in Km/h as stated in the text. That is roughly 20 kts.
