I plan to do some things like this, especially as in the winter months come in. Drills and stuff to do at home to help the golf swing 👌that’s awesome your obsessed with golf, it’s a great game
I have not played golf in 20 years. So when I started playing late summer this year I was trying to find back to the swing I had in my teens, but even if I started hitting them clean pretty fast, the ball trajectory, spin and length just never came back and I did not understand what I was doing wrong. I saw this, and it just made sense in my mind, so I went to the course and tried it. Felt a bit weird the first 20 hits but then it just came back to me! Now they launch of the club with speed and spin with a 10-15 foot draw that lands so softly. And I feel like I'm just swinging 70% of what I did before. Never thought just a video would make that big a difference. THX ALOT for fixing my swing. Can't wait to play with all my golf friends now, and seeing their reaction to my new ball flight.. haha it's gonna be so fun. They gonna be: "WTF have you done"
Wow that absolutely amazing. So glad you got that feeling back 🔥 this makes me very happy as that’s what this channel is all about ⛳️ so cool. Your friends will be shocked, unless you wanna keep it a secret you can send them to my channel 😂 absolutely brilliant well done
Haha would be fun trolling my golf-buddies. If I get a new set of clubs and they all see this new ball flight & I tell them "these clubs are amazing!" I won't do it though. I'd loose all my friends if I trolled them out of 1000$+. Maybe I'll consider doing it to that one guy I play with. He basically has a new set every time I see him, and pulls up it different super-cars all the time.
Hey!!! Just thought of a good deal haha. Anyone involved with selling clubs wanna sponsor me with a new custom golf-set? Then I'll get all that played with me and see the change in my shots, to buy a set too. Hahaha
OMG! I'm the worst. Why do I think of these things? I have to be a psychopath:( But just to be clear!!!!!! It's just in my mind. I would never scam anyone. :)
@@dlgolftips I'll try to record some honest first reactions over the next weeks. If I get some good ones I'll let you know, and If you wanna see em, I can send em to ya. And ofc I will send them all to this channel! And It's not to be nice to you, but because what you say/teach is true, and watching this did actually fix my swing. so thx again! You deserve a sub.
That’s brilliant Dave, that’s exactly the issue I’m having, never thought of looking at the grip ! Senior tour here I come 💪🏻.. ps the room is looking great and subscriptions are increasing every week 🚀
Yeah often times is easy to look at what’s happening and go directly for that when it could be caused by something much earlier in the swing. Definitely check that grip 👌 and thank you yes growing well and I’ve been really enjoying it ⛳️
Great one, need to try it. Combines two basics in brilliant way: Grip and early extension! Btw, have seen the toilet roll drill before. But together with the freezedrills (thumbs up drill is the best I know I recon) that is even better.
I did have the club too far up in the palm btw. When I let go with 3 fingers it was a struggle to keep it up. So I did adjust a bit. But it was the last "Swoop" that you did without hitting a ball that really made me understand it.
Awesome that’s great. Yeah the club in the palm with the left hand is such a killer. Hang with it get used to it and keep checking it, as it can have a tendency to slip back.
Hey Paddy thank you 🙏 yes indeed should really help with that. I have a few other videos on my channel regarding over the top also. Let me know how it goes 👍
By the way I love Liverpool, been a couple times, once on a stag which didn’t really count lol. But another time with my wife and daughter and we went to the place with all the bars and restaurants around the water, can’t remember the name but it was lovely
Thank you David. Once again, a first-class explanation of something so many of us are guilty of. I feel I can really improve my irons with the information you have provided. Is it an earlier release when using the driver?
Hey Philip, thanks for the message. I'm glad you're enjoying the content. And when it comes to driver, we still need to hold some angles, but certainly not as much as the irons. The objective would be to get to impact with the shaft straight up and down, so basically no shaft lean. So in order for that to happen, there needs to be a little bit of an angle thrown away. When it comes to irons, then we're looking for that forward shaft lean at impact. But a good thing to do is get tight up against a doorway, rest the shaft of the driver so it's flush to the wall. Make a mini backswing and come down and try and mirror that flush against the wall again. This would give you a good feeling of where it should be.
Lol 😂 maybe get a bay at far end then when you start ripping it then move. All joking aside definitely give it a go gives you such a good feeling and visual of what to do 👍
This I need to try always had trouble with my swing , I will give it practice over the winter. My elbow can’t keep straight and this will help that then there’s the second part which I’m not use to, so plenty of practice. Will feel strange 😁
Hey thanks for the comment. Yes definitely will feel strange but get lots of practice at it. What I would do is separate it into two parts. Try and nail the first part then the second part do after that. Could be tricky to do both at once 👍 let me know how it goes
Exactly the drill I needed!
👌👌
You’re a genius. This is basically the straight stick compression clicker all the TH-camrs are promoting but free.
lol exactly, you’d be amazed at what you can find around the house to help your golf swing. Maybe I should do a series on that lol 👌
@@dlgolftipsI think it would be a very popular series. At least I can say I would be hanging on to every letter. Kind of obsessed with golf atm

Great drill to try when I get home from offshore. 11 handicap but really struggle with distance.
Awesome glad you enjoyed it. This will really help not just your strike but also your distance 💪

Great stuff Dave. Always enjoy watching your videos because you explain the what, the how, and importantly the why.
Thank you. That’s the main goal from the channel and I’m glad you are enjoying the content ⛳️
Great lesson Dave. Never saw the toilet roll technique before. It clearly demonstrates proper lag in the downswing.
Thanks for your comment. Yeah it’s a funny thing to use but it really does work and gives a great sensation of the downswing ⛳️

Awesome 👏 yeah it’s cool to understand why certain things happen in the golf swing. I do love the thumbs up drill lol 👍

Awesome thanks so much! Think this idea is exactly what I needed. Hopefully this will help me to stop coming over the top as well. 🤷♂️
Hey Paddy thank you 🙏 yes indeed should really help with that. I have a few other videos on my channel regarding over the top also. Let me know how it goes 👍
Absolutely brilliant!!! Of course your putting the "straight stick" out of business. Lol. Love this channel. ❤ 💯 👍
lol 😂 🙈 thanks so much maybe I’ll get a sponsorship deal lol, really glad your enjoying it ⛳️
Tried this drill today, big improvement in strike straight away. Thanks 👍
That’s awesome 🔥🔥
What a great tip , loving your content David I can relate to exactly what you teach. Keep up the great work. Jeff Lpool
Thanks so much Jeff 🙏 really appreciate it. Glad you’re enjoying it. Lots more to come ⛳️

Hi David, it’s called Albert Dock , glad you enjoyed it great city very friendly people.
Ah yes that’s it’s 👏 I actually asked my wife and neither of us could remember
Quality drill, can’t wait to try it 👍👍👍
Awesome 🔥 let me know how it goes
My kind of a drill, cost effective!!
Also, great description of how important the left hand grip is to the golf swing.
100% it’s a great one 👌🧻
