Tarikh is a daily program in which we present you with incidents and stories of noteworthy persons of Indian History in Hindi. In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil talks about 1971 ganga plane hijacking by JKLF member Hashim Qureshi, an Associate of Maqbool bhat. Hashim was hailed a hero for bridging the Kashmir issue in front of the world but later accused by Pakistan to be a Spy for Indian Intelligence agencies especially R&AW . India banned Pakistani flights over its airspace after this hijacking, which played a major role during the 1971 Bangladesh liberation war. Watch complete video to know more

The show is excellent. Your delivery n presentation is excellent. It's very very knowledge providing. All your "tarikh" are always well preserving. I always hit " save" button on them.
What a wonderful plane hijacking mission was designed and executed by our talented RAW officers to halve Pakistan into two parts to stabilize India , such an operation is rarely done by intelligence agencies. If we make our intelligence agencies like IB, RAW and NIA powerful, our enemies would think once to do any misadventure.
Thanks Team Lallantop and Nikhil for bringing this But for you I for one would never know about this episode.
