I worked for AAmco transmissions years ago part time as a puller and a second job, they would remove the crossmember and let the transmission hang down that way the engine bolts would be exposed and use a very long 4' extension with a swivel on the end. Doing that would allow you to use an impact and remove those bolts fast.

Yes, the base price but then they add a core charge and some other fee that brings it to $170 something. Still cheaper than buying it in pieces.
