Headliner from scratch for our ‘49 Chevy
We found it best to measure each section, add 1/4” to each side for the seam, subtract 1/8” so that the installed headliner is taut (You are adding 3/8” to the finished size). Leave lots of extra material on the front and rear end sections, especially the rear as it has to go all the way down to the package tray. Any glue you use, be sure to test it on a scrap of material first (we have a few bubbles around the back window from the Gorilla spray glue acting on the foam backed material).

Good job on the headliner.
Car cobbler you are the best my friend. Your video realy help's me also to make my own tool..... thanks digo yo
I build my 700r4 4 years ago and its still working GREAT behind a 400hp (dyno'd 340+ at the wheels) all I did was study GMs manuals and watched a BUNCH of precision transmissions videos and bought me the bowler shift bracket kit for my carb. The rebuild kit was the SS mega monster in a box.
Love this Build !! ❤❤
Looks really good. Getting close to done soon!
I think I might try this
It’s coming together!
How about John Deere corn head oil?
I rebuild instrument clusters and I had a nightmare experience sending a canadian customer his cluster back after I repaired it for him. I send the package through the post office with the 3 forms they wanted since its international only to get it back a few days later because they wanted more paperwork. I do that and resend it having to buy another shipping label then customs held onto to it for like 2 weeks before finally sending it to him.
That's a ton of work but your car looks great
Thanks 👍
Yes Sir, Block, Block, Block again when you think your done Block it ONE More Time Primer sealer & Paint ! That a ONE shot deal ! 😂👌✌
Shute yah man ! Just do prep work before paint ( leaf blower, water hose ECT ) they turn out Great, I've painted several in my garage ! 😁👍

Could I get the manual please
Are you sure that's not a style master ! My coupe is a 46 exactly like that one! Anyway good Luck to ya ! 😁👍
As a Brit working on a small hatchback car and sometimes questioning my sanity with the level of sanding and blocking needed, I see this video in my suggested videos feed and see a car where the panels are so large they're measured in acres and I have to tip my hat to you because that is a big project. Looking forward to seeing the next videos. You've earned yourself another subscriber.
Wow this is a beautiful project! Can't wait to see all of your hard work pay off. I'm working on a 70 cutlass and it sure dose take alot of time. Thanks for the video.
If is Solid Red? Am 65 and My Preference id Single Stage , Urethane. Last Longer And Shines , Depends of The Finisher.

The fact you stripped a harness is crazy!
Great tip! Did you paint the car? Did I miss a video?
How do i get your 700r4 pdf? Love your videos. Just found them. And looking to rebuild a 700r4 for my own ls swap. Thankz
Love this with the grandkids 👍- Ryan
Great tip on using a resistor.
Hey
The other thing that works is to wire a regular filament bulb into the circuit somewhere in the trunk, provides the proper resistance.
Bless you, for building memories
Congratulations on the 1K! Great Channel and Content.
One man job, I respect and greeting from Bangkok,,,,,,

Nice family, l love your VDO. Greeting from Bangkok,,,,,,
Not a fleetline sir
Wow... You da man... Cause..... Ya
Whoops, disregard, I located the link you shared in other replies. Thank You Sir
Thx for sharing your experience. All the door mods are eye 'opening.'
I worked for AAmco transmissions years ago part time as a puller and a second job, they would remove the crossmember and let the transmission hang down that way the engine bolts would be exposed and use a very long 4' extension with a swivel on the end. Doing that would allow you to use an impact and remove those bolts fast.
6:40 had to upgrade to 3/4” check valve and pipe from the compressor to the tank. The 3/8” pipe got extremely hot because it was so restrictive.

I am a newbie to car restoration with that exact car I learned more from your video than any conversation I have had with people around me that supposedly "know". Thank you, I look forward to watching your other videos.
Gonna use white lithium grease in my application, a 92 Isuzu. Thanks 👍

How long have you been building transmission?
First one was to years ago but I’ve only done about 6 :)
Really enjoyed your video!
My girlfriend said every inch counts too 😂😂. Haha huge help watching your videos. Im looking to body swap a 54 210 benz & doing some research for what swap options i can do. 👌🏼
1:53 they came out a couple years after I was born, so 40+ years now! I remember my dad had a nearly new 89 Sierra 4x4 ext cab long box (with a 305!) and I always thought 1st gear was so short. Years later I learned it's over 3:1, much deeper than a TH350,400,etc. I haven't done much trans work, but 20+ years ago I put a shift kit in my friends 700 in his 89 IROC. I warned him that it might fishtail easier around corners, especially in the rain 😂
Sounds like your alarm system is beeping 😂 as a cable guy, I hear that in a lot of homes.
Great video. And i love your old truck. That baby has character.
Great stuff
