Hi curl friends I have a confession I've been dealing with this Edge Issue since I began transitioning It has been a nightmare for me. I began applying the regular store bought #JBCO after my Big Chop but I wasn't consistent so the re- growth process slowed down quiet a bit. I began using the new #JBCO Edge Treatment back In August but then decided to add a few drops of my favorite Essential Oils along with the unprocessed Black Castor Oil, mixed throughly let sir for 24hr apply and massage 3-4 times per week.

Yes it works. I have been using Jamaican castor oil on my hairline line for about 6 months. I was my hair once a week or once every 2 weeks but in between time I was my hair line/edges with a stimulating shampoo, then apply castor gently massage in. I use it on my hairline in morn and at bedtime. And now I have baby hairs all over the place lol and sideburns too 😂. I also take hair vitamins. My hair 4 a,with 3c at crown, but the baby hairs that are coming in are realy fine but thick....but yes I'm a witness it works

Jamaican black castor oil and Haitian black castor oil are basically the same type of oil... thick consistency and it's not overly process so the nutrients are still there. Haitian one's is even thicker, and u can tell from the smell.. I used both and they do the same thing.

DON'T go TO the barbershop for at least 1 MONTH so that your natural hairline Will grow back if you dont wait the barber will push your hairline back again if he dont know what he's doin. Tyrell Thomas From what I've read its worked for some guys but over a longer period of time, six months to a year. And that involved changing diet, not using sulfate shampoo, drinking a lot of water, and daily multivitamins. And, many guys might not like this, but they gotta stop with the line ups every two weeks... that shit scars the skin under the hairline... Never gonna heal if they keep getting it. I'm about a month in, and since I haven't been getting regular line ups, some hair along my front hairline started to come back

I use the edge treatment and alternate with their Sacha Inchi oil Rescue & Repair Hair & Scalp Tonic. I usually wear my hair down, but tonight I pulled my hair up into a loose high bun. I was in disbelief. The hair IS growing back and doing so so beautifully. It is thicker and almost all of it near my hairline is grown in. It is so worth it.

Oh honey. You might have something called alopecia. The act of excessively pulling and tugging on your hair until your hair folicals are dead. If you type "how to battle alopecia" there's a channel with a black girl that successfully grew her hair back during her alopecia experience. The first step is shaving your head. Hope this helps a bit x

Black Castor oil does work but I mix equal amounts with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I am going to rotate my treatment. My edges are filling in from the DIY treatment, but one spot isn't filling in as fast.
4 ounces of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 ounces Black Jamaican castor oil
20 drops lavender essential oil (Fills in more hairs and improves hair health)
10 drops rosemary essential oil (Improves circulation, etc.)
10 drops tea tree oil (increases blood flow)
4 drops basil essential oil (Reduces hair shedding)

My edges were damaged before the summer, so I shaved the sides and back of my head thinking all my hair would grow back evenly but the edges never grew back, so for the past few months I let my hair grow naturally not using any product on my edges and anytime I would get a haircut I would tell them to leave the edges untouched, this left my hair completely uneven so I looked up what I could do for my edges and bought sunny isle JBCO, that is the only product I have and I am using it the last 2 weeks. My question for you is how long do you think my edges should take to grow back with only using the product? I let them grow naturally for the past 6-7 months and they are a tad bit fuller than your before pictures in the video, I don't want to risk shaving my head again before they are completely full but my hair is a mess at this stage and I need a proper haircut so if you could let me know how long roughly it could take only using the sunny isle JBCO product that would be brilliant. Thank you

      Hi curl friend
I'm not sure how to advice you with this question I know that within three weeks if you are using it daily you should be able to see the difference. Do you take any vitamins, sometimes the body lacks essential vitamins that stimulate/promote hair and nails. My daughter had to start taking biotin and regular daily vitamin when she started transitioning as her hair was stunted for about 4 years only in the back nothing we tried work we even like you cut her hair very low several times hoping it would regrow evenly and to no avail. We started seeing improvements when we stopped relaxing her hair, she drank water which she didn't do much and take her vitamins.
How's the rest of your hair growth? I would recommend using organic aloe Vera juice it helps to MOISTURIZE and promotes hair growth. See the spritz I have on my channel you can make it as well!! You will see the differences . Please keep me posted are you on IG as well.

When I massage my edges, I see little hairs come out onto my finger tips (not alot usually 2 to 3 strands per session). should I be concerned? Or am I just doing it incorrectly? I thought maybe it was because of the rubbing...the friction between my fingers and the hair follicles. Or should I keep my fingers still and move my scalp in a circular motion? I apologize in advance if the answer is obvious. I just really want this to work and I want to do it properly. I've had thin edges from traction alopecia for about 10 years. I know longer do those styles that caused the alopecia, but I just want my hair to grow back now.

Did you place the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Edge Treatment on your hair alone, without mixing

Hi have a question, if anyone can PLEASE answer. I have always had a hairline like this and have been insecure about it pretty much all my life :( would this possibly make hair grow in the bald spots??? I have very thin hair there that never grows so it's useless. Does anyone know if it will help me or if it will stay the same since it's my natural hairline?

When do you wash it out? This and coconut oil i tried and it was burning my hair, my lining as well. Conditioned with argon product and exercise is bringing my lining back fast and my hair is getting thicker.
Should i only use like 1 drop of this all around my hair and lining? Dont want to irritate my hair and lining again but its growing slower at crown and i want my real linin back lol, im getting dandruff for first time again...my head feels like its healing lmao

    • @HealthyHairJourney72

You can use 3-5 drops that should be enough remember you dong want too much as it's very concentrated and if not diluted properly it can irritate your scalp
